"New Romantics" but I'm only dreaming...I know! I think it's possible! It's the strongest and most popular one of the bonus tracks and Taylor released the bonus tracks to iTunes well before originally thought. That would be my third choice after, "Wildest Dreams," and "Out Of The Woods."

Wildest Dreams can be the single for next fall or winter. It shouldn't be released as the summer single.
I'd be okay with Out of the Woods, New Romantics, or a remix of Bad Blood.

I just hope they don't release Bad Blood as the next single. Way overrated, imo. I just hope they don't release Bad Blood as the next single. Way overrated, imo. I don't remember anyone on this forum talking about how great BB is... The problem is that GP likes it I'd like to choose Wildest Dreams and then Out Of The Woods to end. You can quote me. Bad Blood is the next biggest hit on the album and best choice for single #4. Wildest Dreams is a bore. I like it from time to time, but its not a pop radio smash.

They need something to keep momentum and generate buzz. I think a remixed "Bad Blood" featuring Kanye West (given their history), would be the absolute best choice. Coupled with a great video, the song could do serious damage. I know the board isn't the song's biggest fan, but its sales and Itunes ranking since the album's release shows the public is certainty receptive of it.

So excited to see this smashing just as I predicted it would when I first heard it. Anyone know what's planned next? Has there been any 4th single speculation? No news yet. Hopefully they keep it under wraps for a few more weeks. "Blank Space" will go recurrent later today on pop. Actually, it's not eligible for recurrency until next week. Only "Lips Are Movin" tonight.

You're right, Katy had 7 consecutive number 1's on pop: Waking Up In Vegas, California Girls, Teenage Dream, Firework, E.T, Last Friday Night, The One That Got Away. Had "Part Of Me" reached #1 instead of #3, she would've had 10 consecutive #1s. Who the hell remembers Waking Up in Vegas outside Katy diehards? Seriously how did that hit #1? Anyways, Katy's streak is extremely impressive too, no doubt. Although I'd say out of both her and Gaga's streaks there's 5 of their #1's for both that have held up as big hits (take out LoveGame for Gaga and Waking Up in Vegas and The One That Got Away for Katy).

Back to the subject of 1989 singles: I highly doubt we won't get at least 6 singles. And more than likely those last 3 are Bad Blood, Wildest Dreams, and Out of the Woods. How You Get the Girl or All You Had to Do Was Stay will probably be 7th if they go that deep, and they could. So most people should be happy (except all the New Romantics lovers since I don't see them releasing bonus tracks).

She did say that, but I hope it still happens or something similar to it happens. I think a slightly remixed Bad Blood maybe even with a feature of some sort would be absolutely the biggest song to release as #4. Then, Wildest Dreams or Out of the Woods for late summer early Fall. I know this forum hates Bad Blood, but I can't see it bombing especially if they release an absolutely killer video paired with it.

I love "Bad Blood" and it think it will absolutely smash is released. My personal favorite is "New Romantics" but "Bad Blood" would make total sense to be next and it would have my full support. She just better make a MUCH better video for it than what she did with "Style."

Well that's awful news. That remix would have been the best choice (commercially speaking) to send out next.

It will smash exactly the same way as Style though, #1 pop not hot 100. Well as long it keeps the album selling I'm happy... After the (underperformance-flop-not expected smash-whatever it is) Style case, nothing can bring me down anymore :(

Taylor also denied the authenticity of the 1989 tracklist when it leaked even though it was the correct one. Pretty sure she occasionally denies things so she can announce them on her own terms/at the right time. Like what was she supposed to say "Yes, it's true." and then have us waiting for 2-3 months til its release. It's much more effective as a surprise.
Not saying that its for sure happening, but ya never know.

Another #1! Definitely her best single from this era yet so I'm glad it went #1
Bad Blood next, please.

Well that's awful news. That remix would have been the best choice (commercially speaking) to send out next. I'd rather it be Kendrick Lamar...that would be just as hot - no, hotter actually. It would probably carry more cache since Kendrick has a lot of positive buzz right now, and Taylor is clearly a fan so that's a bonus. Well great, I just got a remix idea that might never happen stuck in my head now. Dammit!

Do overall radio updates ever get posted, how is this doing on radio songs, rather than genre specific charts.

Bad Blood is the obvious choice. Wildest Dreams and Out of the Woods aren't spring/summer songs. Especially considering that style was slightly more subdued, she needs a high energy single next.
BB is also underrated on Pulse, I think. When the album came out I remember a lot of talk about the song in real life. Mitch and Scott from Pentatonix said that it was their favorite song on the album, for instance. Obviously that's just two people, but I remember an overall positive response.
Plus, Wildest Dreams is a huge sonic shift for Taylor. Out of the Woods is also fairly polarizing. I think that some people take issue with the repetition in the chorus.

New Romantics is the perfect summer single
But if I have to wait for it in favor of "Bad Dudd" then she better recreate mean girls for the music video and play Regina George with Kendrick Lamar as Aaron Samuels, Lorde as Janis Ian, karlie as Karen, Selena as Gretchen and her friend Abigail as Cady.

"Bad Blood" is Ed Sheeran's favorite as well. Public perception of the song seems to sway against the popular "omg it is awful" Pulse opinion. I personally love it.

I'm much more of a New Romantics fan, but Wonderland pretty decisively won the bonus single sales battle. That definitely has to count for something. That is true but Wonderland had promotion on the front page of itunes under New Tracks while the other two did not Fair point. Didn't realize that, but the fact that New Romantics sold only a bit better than You Are In Love was still disappointing. Plus, given Taylor Swift's visibility, I don't know that market awareness was a massive bottleneck anyway (especially since all had exposure in the top ten -- and then fell from grace really quickly). In any event, the performance was definitely disillusioning (since New Romantics had been labeled an "obvious smash" by many fans). At this point, I don't see how one can confidently assume it would do better than Bad Blood or Wildest Dreams.
