What do you guys think'll go #1, Habits or Bang Bang? This is presuming All About That Bass or Shake It Off don't make it. Bang Bang is winning in sales this week and is ahead of Pop and HAC radio. Habits is ahead on Rhythmic and AC (don't get why it is on AC). Idk about streams, but last week Bang Bang was ahead.

out of the two, habits. meghan and taylor will still be the top two, though (number one depends on if meghan's monster streaming holds), and maroon 5 are right around the corner too. i actually wouldn't be surprised if they overtake bang bang, considering their sales are still really strong and their radio presence is only getting more prevalent.

That already happened an hour before last week's tracking period ended, so there will be no major CMA effect on the songs. Especially the album tracks, since 'why buy a single when you're going to get the album anyway?'. |

Isn't the only way a song can shoot up like that is if it's an Insta grat? Otherwise once the album is released people would have to be buying the individual song for it to be charting like that? Or am I wrong?

We all know sales are sliding because of streaming, but I'd venture to guess it's also radio's fault. The mass of people who buy digital songs buy what they hear. Look at that airplay top 20: about 75% of those songs have been around since mid-summer at least. People aren't hearing anything new, therefore they aren't buying. Radio needs to start moving on...

So for the purposes of the Hot 100, SIO is 47k sales ahead of AATB which is about 4k chart points, about 1k chart points ahead in sales and presumably a pretty significant lead in on-demand. Will this finally be the week that SIO gets its big break? This is essentially the OMN/GS situation from 2 years ago except that in this case the one being "blocked" actually did peak at #1...just like with OMN, AATB did deserve 4 or 5 weeks at #1 but not 9. At least that's my opinion anyway.

Yes, you can recognize an instant grat because it appears at its peak and then starts dropping immediately. 1989 is already out, the only way for the individual songs to chart is for people to buy them separately. |

There should be Complete-My-Album transactions that occurred during the week, as the ones from the previous chart were non-EST transactions (and not even every single person who pre-ordered the album in those zones). :)

Even if Taylor goes back to #1 this week, she won't stay there. Shake It Off was removed for Spotify, so all of her on-demand points are going to disappear this week.

It looks like "All About The Bass" is going to be #1 again this week. All of Taylor's songs/albums are off of Spotify, We just have to wait and see where Taylor's "1989" album tracks rank on this week's chart. "Blank Space" would be the highest entry and is the only one with Radio airplay out of the album tracks.

Which means SIO won't be #1 because of the added on-demand disadvantage :( I wonder if Habits could be the next #1...I'd hate for my earlier prediction to be wrong but I love the song so I wouldn't mind being wrong there On a side note, lol'd so fkn hard when I just found out that Party Rock Anthem is top 50 on AC...aside from the fact that PRA doesn't seem like an AC type of song, IT'S ALMOST 2015...THE SONG WAS POPULAR IN 2011!!!!  AC really outdid themselves this time lol. Oh Kworb shows that the song was on for more than 2 years so why isn't it under recurrents then? |
