"Pain Killer" and "Quit Breaking Up With Me" need to be the next two singles. "Pain Killer" works better for the summer, so I hope that one will be next even though it'll be late into the summer before we see a new single from them.

Does anyone know if they have anymore planned performances of this song? I hope this song crosses over to pop, I think it would do great. #56 to #25 move on the Hot 100 last week.

With that jump, "Girl Crush" should be the new #1 for Hot Country Songs tomorrow morning ending Sam Hunt's 11 week reign of "Take Your Time".

#56 to #25 move on the Hot 100 last week. Well, Girl Crush is the top selling country single this week with Take Your Time at #2. Now, if we can get Girl Cruch to be the #1 streamed country song (guess who's #1-Sam Hunt). I think it is a possibility to have Little Big Town topping the mongrel chart.

ALL the airplay #1s from this year have made chart appearances on the Hot 100. They are: 1. Shotgun Rider-#38 2. Perfect Storm-#52 3. 'Til It's Gone-#60 4. Talladega-#43 5. I See You-#41 6. Sun Daze-#44 7. Make Me Wanna-#43 8. Lonely Tonight-#47 9. Just Gettin' Started-#54 10. Mean To Me-#53 11. Ain't Worth The Whiskey-#43 12. Homegrown-#35 13. Take Your Time-#20-the biggest so far 14. When I said crossover to pop. I meant CHR/Pop
This song should jump close to the top ten on the hot 100 this week. I know digital sales were great. Streaming probably skyrocketed. The radio AirPlay lagged far behin
Digital sales should be out shortly. I'm thinking top 5

Song List... ] Buffalo*: All country Airplay #1s make the Hot 100 since the inclusion of country stations based on audience impressions to the Hot 100 metrics. The most played track on country radio has monstrous AI levels that guarantee the Hot 100 entry by default [around #60 on airplay alone].

New peak of #18 on the Hot 100, officially out-peaking "Pontoon" and becoming their first Top 20 hit.

Wow. If anyone told me before that "Girl Crush" was going to be as big, if not bigger than "Pontoon," I would've never believed them. :o

Wow. However, I must point out that it probably wouldn't have sold more than 100,000 if it weren't for the ACM's. It's slowly declined on iTunes over the last week, going from #2 after the ACM's to #10 as of this morning...which means that it might not be able to get too much higher on the Hot 100, or at least not until it's top 10 or better at country radio. Of course, if it starts to get substantial airplay at other formats too, then there's no telling how high it'll go on the Hot 100.

You got your wish. From Billboard: In highlights just below the Hot 100's top bracket, four songs climb into the top 20: T-Wayne's viral hit "Nasty Freestyle" (43-17), adding top Digital and Streaming Gainer honors; Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" (25-18), the new No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart; David Guetta's "Hey Mama" (featuring Nicki Minaj and Afrojack) (27-19), which tops Hot Dance/Electronic Songs for a second week; and Meghan Trainor's "Dear Future Husband" (24-20). More details on notable action below the top 10 in the weekly "Hot 100 Chart Moves" column to post on Friday (May 1).

I must point out that over twenty performances on the acm awards and this basically doubled the sales of the number song, that had crazy AirPlay, This was a impressive feat and the fact that it is still in the top ten with basically only that country AirPlay audience is incredible.
I became a fan of LBT because of Pontoon and I have to believe girl crusH will outsell pontoon which is 2x platinum, And out perform it in every aspect except for country radio, and I am just being safe there.
Yeah I may be a little too confident but I called this song from the beginning and posted it would benefit the most from the acm awards before they were even announced as performers, This is a classic country song.

I can't wait. Not sure what faith hill will add. But just the fact they are performing it to a whole new audience is awesome.
And I like faith hill

Faith Hill performing this with LBT seems like a random choice, but I imagine it will work wonderfully and I am very excited for this performance! Glad they also get to showcase this song on yet another huge platform. Sales are going to just keep going through the roof. :o

Nothing against Faith Hill but I would have liked LBT to be joined by a great pop singer, (Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga). I think the song would have gotten a lot more attention for a crossover to pop and anyone with a voice would love singing it.
My pick would have been lady Gaga, seems really odd I know, but lady Gaga has pipes, dabbled in country with You & I And would absolutely kill this song

Good for them!
I'm hoping it doesn't change them at all. Not that I think it will, but it worries me when country acts have crossover success.
Guess we won't know till their next album. In the meantime, I'll keep rooting for this one on every chart and keep my fingers crossed we won't see "(feat. Nelly)" on any songs off their next CD.

Do you think LBT is too old for pop? It's a common thing to hear on the pop board that Mariah is too old, Madonna is grandma, etc., etc., etc. Karen and Kimberly are both in their mid-40s.

Well, with crossover acts I don't think the age threshold is that strict. Now, if they were to devote themselves fully to pop, that would be a different story. Also...age thresholds tend to be applied to solo artists, I don't think it matters that much when it comes to groups

Pop still plays random Train songs, Rob Thomas, etc. Its clearly a "kids" but not as ageist for random chart shots as country is.
