What is your favorite Rihanna performance? Mine is definitely the Stay/We Found Love medley at the 2012 finale of UK's X Factor :)

This was the first to come to mind, but the Grammys 2011 and AMA 2010 could probably be substituted for this. Honestly what makes her performances more than anything is her attitude. Her progression is remarkable when you consdier where she once was.

Omg that performance was indeed a mess: lacking in stage presence and those vocals/backtrack She can be very hit or miss when it comes to performances, especially vocally, but boy does she have amazing ones like the performance you posted and others in this thread! :)

The 2012 Victoria Secret fashion show, when she walked the runway. What made it truly special, for me anyway, was that she never once opened her mouth.

Excellent choices Kishi KCM! I'll throw this one into the mix as well, I was really impressed when I saw it. It might have been the first time I noticed that her stage presence had taken a major major turn for the better (some usually point to the Disturbia VMA performance, but I was never super crazy about that). I think it was her first solo stateside performance since the CB incident. This is also one of my favorites for the energy factor alone.

How has no one mentioned the "Umbrella" performances at the BRIT awards she did with the Klaxons? That was amazing. And I love her "Russian Roulette" performance from SNL.

I remember watching SOS performance at the EMAs and being blown away! The Umbrella Movie Awards performance and Pon De Replay TRL performance are also pretty good! :) I am not a big fan of the VMAs Disturbia performance, however. I feel like it lacked, especially vocally, although the visuals were great.

What I love about this performance is that it's a preview of what's to come, it showed so much of her potential. This gave us a glimpse into the GGGB era. She still needed to grow in presence and confidence, but this was the earliest in her career that she made me say WERQ BETCH!

I really liked when she introduced the "Pussy Pat". I'll have to go with "Birthday Cake/Talk That Talk- SNL "Where Have You Been"- Idol

Changed my life. I've been pussy patting at every chance I get since then. :) To this day whenever I listen to the title track of Talk That Talk, I sing "1 and 2 and 3 and 4, come and pussy pat with me some more." Don't even care what the actual ones are by this point/
