Garth Brooks deserved Entertainer Of The Year. I agree. For when he won in 1992.

While I'm obviously in the minority ,as many consider him an excellent vocalist, John Berry's vocals are like nails on a chalkboard for me.

* Reba's worst single is "I'm a Survivor", followed by "If I Were a Boy" and "Forever Love".
* "Half Way Up", "Still Holding On", and "Been There" are Clint Black's most underrated singles. (I honestly have no recollection whatsoever of hearing "Still Holding On" on the radio, either.)
* I really liked "Drink to That All Night".
* The only Dwight Yoakam singles I don't like are "Turn It On, Turn It Up, Turn Me Loose" and his lifeless cover of "I Want You to Want Me".

I saluted I'm A Survivor in my column this week. All the other Reba McEntire songs were mentioned as well.

Lol I wouldn't quite go that far perhaps, but I definitely think he is massively overrated as an artist and vocalist. I think it varies from song to song as well for me. For instance, I feel like "Broken Halos" is a very strong vocal, but I think he sounds just awful on "Either Way."

I knew I couldn't be the only one. I saw him live in 2015 when he opened for LBT and I literally cringed his whole set. Definitely talented, but I have never heard such an unpleasant, harsh and screechy voice in my life. He screamed at the top of his lungs and it was literally piercing. It was so bad.

I've said my piece before on Stapleton. I think he's just fine, and he's "minimalist" in a way that works. That said, I can see how some would be put off by his voice. Then again, who am I to judge on vocal performances. I've always thought that George Strait sounded like crap live, I think that Tyler Farr sounds great on everything he's sung, I don't find Cole Swindell as bland as most people do, I find "More Like Her" absolutely ear-splittingly shrill, I wish Martina would stop screaming her lungs out on every song, and I was the only person on this forum who could stomach "Bob That Head", so what do I know...

Every time I hear him on the ACMs or CMAs, he sounds really high pitched and creaky.

Again, maybe just confirmation bias from the performances I've heard of him. Even a pro like him can have an off day. I still think that even his "better" performances, he sounds oddly higher-pitched than in studio. Maybe he just feels more comfortable in a studio than onstage? Also, does he EVER play that damn guitar, or just lean on it?

I LOVE Kiss Somebody by Morgan Evans. Me too! I'm seeing him live next May when he opens for Chris Young! Speaking of Chris Young, I loved his A.M album. I know that isn't a very popular opinion, at least not on here. However, his best record is still Neon. I also haven't been a fan of his last two albums, but I plan to re-listen with an open mind in anticipation of seeing him live for the first time.

I'm pretending William Michael Morgan continued that career because his country music days are gone. Never thought I'd say that about Chris. He was the chosen one.

Love Chris Young's voice...not such a fan of his song choices, seriously overproduced....I've seen George more times than I have fingers (a full set, thanks) and he's never disappointed me...and we go back to the very early 80s together...smaller venues, big areana, stadium...done it all...including his Vegas residency. He's always been very genuine...novel to some modern day listeners? You can have Tyler Farr...ugh.
Always better live than recorded is Alabama...still, although Randy is losing some of the resonance in his voice (he's 68). Josh Turner is killer live too.

"Storm Warning" was Hunter Hayes' only good single. Everything else has been forgettable teenybopper fluff.
Lonestar's version of "Walking in Memphis" is not only their best post-"Amazed" single, but also better than the original.
I have no problem whatsoever with "You Broke Up with Me".
Faith Hill has maybe eight or ten good songs. Also, her style clashes horribly with Tim's, and all of their collabs save for "I Need You", "Angry All the Time", and "Meanwhile Back at Mama's" have been atrocious.

Like her clothing style, because I was unaware that husbands and wives had to wear the same clothes. Or musical style, because I was unaware that husbands and wives had to make the same kind of music.

Nothing wrong with a husband and wife have distinctly different musical styles. But I've just felt that their styles don't work well when they sing together. Their harmonies are poor, and their vocal ranges are too far apart. Listen to how badly Tim has to strain on their latest single.

Don't know if this is unpopular, because I don't really know how the board feels about her, but I also don't know where else it out it, but Lorrie Morgan is one of the most underrated artists in country. And I'm disappointed she couldn't have been as big as someone like Faith or Reba.

I even liked "Maybe Not Tonight" which may be an unpopular opinion itself. I'm sure we'll see Lorrie Morgan's songs featured in Cody Wants Out... 's upcoming 90's Rankdowns! I also have to mention that her Merry Christmas from London album is absolutely a must listen..."My Favorite Things" and "Sleigh Ride" are possibly my two favorite versions of those songs.

I love Lorrie Morgan's style. She had a very lush and "New York" kind of feel to her that I never really heard from any other country artist. She seemed to tone it down a little in the later 90s, but still had some very above-average songs like "Good as I Was to You". And "Something in Red" is one of my favorite songs ever. However, "My Favorite Things" is NOT A CHRISTMAS SONG and I refuse to let anyone tell me otherwise.

^"Good As I Was to You" is one of her absolute best! Perfect country storytelling and imagery. God, I miss songs like that.

Lonestar's version of "Walking in Memphis" is not only their best post-"Amazed" single, but also better than the original. Huge "Walking In Memphis" fan here as well. My favorite from Lonestar...Mark Cohn is proud I'm sure to have a multi-genre hit.
