- Once again, no "Two For One" as nobody moved into the Top 10
- So AT40 and Mediabase's printed chart again differ on #1 with Taylor rebounding back into the top spot (and again getting an extra week on top). Now will "Bang Bang" top the chart next week or will Tove Lo leap frog and claim #1?

So with Taylor returning to the top spot, the chart, definitely, looks like it's fallen a week behind schedule. Next week's #1 will all depend on when it decides to catch up. If the catching up happens next week, "Bang Bang" probably won't make it to #1. If not, then "Bang Bang" has a shot.

"Bang Bang" hopefully will get #1 next week. It is Jessie's first #1 hit, but AT40 might just play catch up, and she will miss out.

Disclosure now is the oldest song in The Top 40 with 35 weeks. Doubt they will make it to 40 weeks in The Top 40.

Katy Perry with "Wide Awake", which had three nonconsecutive weeks on top in August/September 2012. Ellie Goulding interrupted it with "Lights".

I don't know if this is a record or close to it, but 18 of the top 40 hits have one word titles, which becomes 20--a full half of the countdown--if you leave out parenthetical subtitles. This counts "i" as a word, which obviously ties for the all time shortest titled hit (the word "Untitled" doesn't count.)

The Two for One feature hasn't been put to use a lot lately. It'd be good soon for Jeremih, who's had "Birthday Sex" and "Down On Me" hit the chart and that's it. I think they're good choices. It's so weird how the 2 for 1 is always in the last hour.

Ellen K. as host just ain't gonna happen. Anyway, we got 2 Don't songs in a row, and Bend Ova was
back for a short visit. They forgot to change the locks on the studio door. And the appeal of Iggy
totally escapes me, though she seems quite good at spelling her first name. No intro to her #29 song
but Ryan did say at the end what it was. He said that Meghan Trainor is where "hip hop meets doo wop".
Charli XCX is obsessed with Chandelier this year.
There were 2 extras in a row, but at least they got the usually-short 7-6 segment lengthened.

I think that i is the first single-letter title ever on AT 40. I'm not counting 3 or 7 which are numbers.

It's been announced that Nick will guest host the first weekend of December (the second Jonas Brother to do so.) Over the last few years, that seems to be a pretty consistent time for Ryan to take off, for whatever reasons.
