A song I haven't heard aired for quite some time. One of my favorites from 2011. The song had such a perfect rhythm and instantly became my favorite song at the time. It reached number 3 on both the Billboard and Mediabase chart.

This is one that I really wish still got some airplay once in a while. I have a real soft spot for this tune, it's just so catchy and wonderful

It's a catchy song, but the processed vocals basically ruin it for me. Disturbing lyrics, but I thought it was clever how they were put to such a carefree and catchy melody. It added to the creepiness, especially when you figured out what the song was about.

It added to the creepiness, especially when you figured out what the song was about. We were actually discussing this song in one of my Media classes. Our professor played it as one of the songs that many don't know the actual meaning to. The vocals I'm not a fan of and the subject this song is about makes it disturbing. Yet it does appear to be an upbeat, easy going song until you pay attention to its lyrics.

not my favourite single off of the album (I like "houdini", "don't stop (color on the walls)" and "call it what you want" more than this) but this is really good

I remember them banning this one from radio shortly after Sandy Hook.
I enjoyed it when it came out though.

One of the best alt-rock hits of all time, and no meme community this song doesn't promote school shootings sit down

Creepy song, but it's a BOP at the same time. Loved back in 2011 and I'm still loving it today, this song never gets old.
I'm glad FTP managed to get a crossover hit some years after this (Sit Next To Me, another great song) and escaped from the One Hit Wonder Zone.

This song probably started the Indie/Alt crossover trend of this decade.

I was OBSESSED with this! No burnout what so ever, even after many years later. If it wasn't for "Rolling In The Deep", this would be my favorite song from 2011 and one of the essential top 5 songs of the 2010s for me and maybe be one of my favorite songs of all time for me. Love Foster The People.

Looking back, I definitely think this will be a period piece for the 2010's. I like the song a lot but the fact that a massive pop hit about school shootings was being played on radio stations around the country during a decade where shootings were practically a daily occurrence is always gonna be crazy to me.
