I was a fan of Rachele's debut single. I purchased the debut album as well when it was released earlier this year. It's the average debut, and deserved to perform better IMO. However, I expected better for a new single to lead-off a sophomore album. This just does not do it for me. Very disappointed.

This song is... well, a whole lotta nothin'. I'm unimpressed. I did like her debut single, but this is just so uninteresting. Not like it matters anyway since her label situation doesn't really present any opportunity for it to do much.

In2une is promoting it, though, so this might actually be Rachele's first single to chart. In2une has gotten Lucy Hale and Jamie Lynn Spears on the chart, so the combined resources of Momentum and In2une will definitely give this one a chance to at least do something. I agree that it's not a very good song, though. I can see it sneaking into the top 60 but I don't see it doing much beyond that.

I figured it'd do about as well as a Lucy Hale single though, so still not much. It'd be kinda cool to see her receive her first chart appearance, though it'd be nicer if they could make it happen with a better song.

Rachele is such a talented artist. Hopefully something will break for her. Given how radio is with female artists though, I doubt it.

I've been following Rachele for a few years now and this is definitely NOT her strongest song, kind of shame that Momentum (OK, let's cut that crap) that Jaime O'Neil advised her on doing this song. I'm not even sure if I like the song enough to be an album cut and I know that sounds harsh, but it's my opinion on it. She's been putting in a lot of hard work however and built a good team around her so hopefully they will release a better song after this one (IF this one does get some chart action).

I agree with the above statements that this isn't good at all. The vocal arrangement is borderline horrible and the lyrics are very pedestrian. I think this will break the top 60 for Rachele and potentially reach the top 50 but will not make a run at the top 40. BTW: I know Musicrow can have some typo's sometimes with their "Single Releases" page, but they have this song listed twice on January 19th.

I don't think this is going to chart. It currently sits at #73 on MB with a 142k total audience and it went for adds over three weeks ago. It needs to reach at least 450k or so (or close to that) to have a chance to get top 60 on Billboard but that's hard to imagine with its performance so far. I thought there might be a shot with this one being handled by In2une Music Nashville but country radio is just not taking notice with this song, and to be honest I can hear why. This was just a bad decision for a single, and to make it the first promoted by In2une Music.
Rachele has a good voice but I just haven't been overly impresses by most of her songs, though I do know Jamie O'Neal is a huge fan of hers and believes in her music.

This was just a bad decision for a single, and to make it the first promoted by In2une Music. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you here but this isn't the first single promoted by In2une Nashville. They also promoted Jamie Lynn Spears' "How Could I Want More" and picked up promotion for Lucy Hale's "You Sound Good To Me" after Bigger Picture folded, and then they also promoted Lucy's 2nd single "Lie A Little Better". So this is actually the 4th overall single that In2une Nashville has promoted. But maybe you meant it's the first Rachele Lynae single to be promoted by In2une, in which case, ignore this post.

Sorry, but you misinterpreted me jhomes87 ;). I meant the first of Rachele's to be promoted by In2une. :)

"Whole Lotta Nothin'" got 11 new adds this week, bringing its total to 33 monitored stations. It went for adds five months ago, lol. I'll be interested to see the stations that added this one tomorrow. Most of it's chart run has consisted of bouncing around the 70's on MB.

I understand that 11 adds is slow at this point. For all purposes: chart performance, quality of song, slow career start, indie label, etc... wouldn't you think Momentum and In2une would want to release a new single. This one felt so rushed, I hope if there is a new single coming soon that it has a bit of substance to it.

Momentum is basically Rachele Lynae and not much else, and they have the money to spend on a partnership with In2une, so a very slow climb is what they're going for here. This won't do anything beyond just charting on the Airplay chart (and that is still a big if just based on the songs in front of them). If they sent out another single it would likely have the exact same fate "Whole Lotta Nothin'" is having right now, at best. I know it might have seemed rushed but perhaps Momentum had good reason to release this song when they did. I think they should play this out a little longer before moving on myself.

It's a summer tune anyway so I'm thinking they put it out early to help it build some audience but planned to push it once the weather picked up. I can see Rachele getting a lot of singles out over the next few years as her place at Momentum feels a lot like Katie Armiger & Cold River's situation. I do hope that Momentum also tries a Jamie O'Neal single at one point.
Speaking of Katie I'm also hoping for a new single from her soon.

Just as I thought. The Cumulus block added "Whole Lotta Nothin'" this week.
