I wonder if this will pull a "Cigarette Daydreams" and get big despite a relative flop of a second single.

I'm annoyed that they put the first two singles from Turn Blue on Spotify, but are balking at putting either the album version or the radio edit out there. I realize they don't like the company, yet they have every other album, save El Camino, on there, coinciding with when they were officially big boys in the music world. They should either put everything on there, or go join Ms. Swift on her high f**king horse.
As for the song itself, it's probably my favorite one from them yet, along with "Little Black Submarines." Both of them take their time building up, then hit you over the head with the climax. Of course, this one basically takes what LBS did and increases it by a power of 10. I think the radio edit does a fine job keeping the substance of the song intact, but I'm grateful that Music Choice is playing the album version. I only wonder why SiriusXM Alt Nation can't do the same.

This along with Robert DeLong's "Long Way Down," Yelawolf's "Till It's Gone," and alt-J's "Every Other Freckle" are the standouts to me right now.

Radio edit is out on Spotify. It's 4:33; cuts out a lot of the beginning solos but keeps in most of the end. I think it's a decent edit and keeps most of the greatness of this song intact. I'd love to see this hit at least Top 5, but I fear since it's less radio-friendly than the past two singles and Gotta Get Away underperformed so much that it might falter.

WTF ALTERNATIVE
Chance that it's bullet recovers but still... Either that or due to the recent influx of new songs (Florence, AWOL, Death Cab)

There are at least three songs on Active that don't belong. This one; Cage The Elephant, and AWOLNATION. decent songs, but I think; not apt, for that formatt.

I think AWOLNATION is suited for Active in a way (with the bass and screaming)

Yeah I agree with Cody, Black Keys definitely fit on Active. They remind me of bands like Boston, .38 Special, Stevie Ray Vaughan, etc. Their classic rock vibe is a huge part of Active IMO.

Outside of Fever, Black Keys are fine on Active. When groups like Fall Out Boy and Dirty Heads chart, that's when it gets annoying.

Funny You Guys mention the Classic Rock vibe of the song, because the chart where it should be smashing is on the other Mainstream Rock chart. You know the one where "Heaven Knows" has a permanent spot. I'm surprised it's not even Top 20 on there yet? "Take It Back" a song byTemperance Movemnet; also has a classic Rock vibe and that's rightfully already top 10 on that chart.

The Heritage Rock/ Mediabase's Mainstream Rock chart shouldn't exist.

...and why shouldn't it exist. Another Rock music based chart wouldn't hurt Rock music's standing in the industry. I think is should exist, but not look so much like the Active one. There is plenty of AOR bands out there that would fit that chart nicely and get needed recognition.

Black Keys belong on Active. It's Yelawolf and fall out boy that shouldn't be there.

Ew at Yelawolf, Everlast was fine back in 1998/99 because What It's Like is a gem but Til It's Gone stinks, I just can't stand it when it comes on KROQ and other alt. stations...

Top 10 on AAA:
15 10 BLACK KEYS Weight Of Love 414 380 34 0.841
Meanwhile on Alt, it is struggling big time, together with The Offspring, Incubus, The Offspring, Passion Pit and Nate Ruess.

I can't believe this kinda flopped/underperformed :/ maybe it was too long for radio? because it's not even that hard rock sounding for alternative standards.

this has the sound of an epic album track instead of a single ... it's great, but not so radio-friendly (imo) & frankly I'm suprised it's done as well as it has...I guess BK are a brand now & that brand can pull a lot of weight on Alt radio

They should have released 10 Lovers, because I agree that Weight of Love sounds like an epic album track, not a radio single.
