A force of nature or a phenomenon is an "it," so I see nothing wrong with that usage. After her vacation and the new year starts, I imagine they'll get to work on strategies and such.

Well, in this case i don't know if i will use it. There were some rumours about Guy Ritchie, Madonna and It by Stephen King some years ago, so i don't know if she will like it

Bring on the promotional "relaunch" January soon AXS Review: Madonna champions 'Living for Love' on new single
Queen of Pop Madonna released part of her upcoming album Rebel Heart online on Dec. 20. With six new tracks premiered, she also announced the triumphant "Living For Love" as the record's lead single.
Madonna's Rebel Heart was originally scheduled to drop sometime next year but earlier this month some demos were leaked online. In order to combat the leaks, Madonna released part of the record. Among the six songs are "B*tch I'm Madonna" featuring Nicki Minaj and "Living For Love," the lead single.
On "Living For Love," Madonna finds her songwriting prowess with DJ Diplo and singer Alicia Keys. The dance track features '90s house music-inspired synths, prominent piano and a soulful Madonna championing love over everything else. Very in line with her recent messages of justice, she declares, "Living for love / I'm not giving up / I'm gonna carry on." Some allusion to "Like a Prayer" is made with the singer's pleas directed toward God. Fighting through heartbreak, Madonna returns as a crusader for love and good times on this empowering slice of electronica.
"Living For Love" and the other five tracks so far released from Rebel Heart are now available on iTunes. According to the Huffington Post, Madonna will put out more music from the record on Feb. 9. Her 13th studio album is scheduled to drop in the first week of March. Madonna's last album MDNA peaked at no. 1 on Billboard back in 2012.

I love this. It's kinda cheesy but it works. The lyrics are relatable. I loved GMAYL too tho. This feels better though not as flash in the pan.

Madonna "Living for Love" US Radio Report MediabaseFriday, January 2MADONNA - Living For Love: 0.237 (+ 0.006) Saturday, January 3MADONNA - Living For Love: 0.262 (+ 0.025) Sunday, January 4MADONNA - Living For Love: 0.290 (+ 0.028) There's not much to report since the official push to radio has not yet begun, but there are some small, encouraging signs. One of the first CHR/Top 40 stations to spin LFL, Davenport's B100, has all but added it into regular rotation, with 21 spins (including 6 on Saturday) during a week loaded with year-end retrospectives. One satellite station, SiriusXM's Venus, placed LFL into rotation almost immediately and is averaging around 30 spins per week. A few more Pop and HotAC stations have test spun this week, including WXSS Milwaukee, WEZB New Orleans, WPRO Providence, KJMY Salt Lake City, WBHT Scranton, and WSTW Wilmington. I would love to see a few official adds tomorrow and Tuesday, but that might be overly optimistic. Here's hoping!

I hope this does get a radio push. It does deserve it, tho im not too keen on this track over Unapologetic B or B im madonna i know those may be too "explicit" for radio... Would love to see Alicia Keys perform with madonna moreso than Gaga. but would be interesting to see Gaga perform this with her.

Thanks, botoxic. :)
WBHT in Wilkes-Bare/Scranton played it? Interesting. The odds are against a big radio hit, but hopefully Interscope will do its best to get the song exposure before the video drops (and the Grammys).

KBEA Davenport (24 spins) seals the deal with an official add this week but is the only US station to do so.

With going for Adds over a month away,Madonna had originally planned all along to release 'Living For Love' on Valentines Day! So she is sticking to her plan. I Hope this means Interscope is going to be aggressive in getting adds. Of course we know it will be a major challenge. I still say she needs to place this song in ad campaign in America to drive Itune sales, even those acts with airplay are doing this. She is just going to have to bite the bullet and do the same!!

With add date and video release and her Grammy performance the same week, with very aggressive promotion , this should shoot right back up itunes. I think Madonna wants this to be out there. I can easily see her promoting on radio talk, SNL, Jimmy Fallon , etc given there will be another month before Rebel Heart is released.
This is certainly a huge grower for me. An anthem and classic in the making in my opinion.

Interscope may release LFL as a standalone single around that time, as well.
A return to SNL as a performer would be grand.

Since it appears the team is returning to the original promo plan (Granny at the Grammy's on Feb 8th, official LFL push to radio on the 9th), a radio add five weeks early is somewhat impressive. What I find interesting about reverting to the original promo plan is that the album itself has been moved up about six weeks. I wonder if they had planned to release a second single around the original late April album release date, but with the general positive feedback for LFL, they now may rely on it alone to push through the album release period.
LFL is certainly a grower - upon release of the first six tracks, it ranked as my fifth favorite, but in just a few weeks, I can understand why it is kicking off the era. I actually think five of the six songs could have functioned as lead single, but none stands out as having that OMG-this-must-be-lead-single quality. I do believe the title track, with its stunningly majestic (and oh-so-Madonna) chorus, will serve well as the second single.

I'd support a more tiered timetable for the LFL promo though. I think it should be sent for adds next week already, so that people know more about it before video and performances.

Oftentimes, a track will rack up good airplay before an adds date (it happened with Madonna, too, back in the day- not so much in recent times).
I imagine Interscope will want to push awareness as much as possible- whether that means some kind or radio promo remains to be seen. Has there ever been one for a track that's been commercially available for several weeks?

I loved the demo. It had an early 90's sound to it and almost reminded me a little bit of "Vogue".
The final version does nothing for me though. They turned it into a typical David Guetta/Calvin Harris track. And her behavior on social media has been very off-putting to me too. I miss the Madonna I fell in love with when I was a kid during the Ray Of Light era. :(

Yeah, send it to airplay now so it builds up familiarity leading up to the Grammy performance. It's already out on iTunes so what's the harm?

Disclosure/Kiesza would have been a better comparison as David & Calvin haven't released deep house sounding songs lately.

I really hope, based on the quality of the songs I have heard so far, that the album can sell Gold.
