LOL at them blaming Iggy when SHE wanted to promote the single and they stopped her. I'm not exactly Iggy's #1 fan but to blame her for this flopping is absolutely ridiculous. That story is clearly fake as hell, though. :kii: And I think the "blaming" her part of the story came from the fact that the public doesn't like Iggy right now and that's what has been pointed out in these phony articles. But of course there are many reasons behind the performance of the song and not only one thing is to blame for it.

This has grown on me a lot now that I started listening to it without expectations of high quality. Fits nicely on my "so bad it's good" playlist along with Booty. Have no hope for it though in terms of the GP, I pray they release something melodic and radio friendly soon that doesn't include Britney rapping and/or talking in a British accent. Awe! You know you want more of, "Fix it for meeeeh!" :) Seriously, I love the song. However, I am now ready for "Tom's Diner." :)

I don't think Tom's Diner will be a single because Britney's team told Morodor (is that his family name) that they don't have the time to shoot a video for it As usual Britney's team fucking up everything!!!!

Brittney should consider doing something with actual substance. I think it would do wonders for her.

Damn, not even a small loss It's OK Brit. Just pull some ish saying this was a buzz single and then release your first REAL single and we'll forget this happened.

Brittney should consider doing something with actual substance. I think it would do wonders for her. I actually agree. The next single needs to drop the pop princess routine and really dig into something more serious. I think the public could really dig another Piece of Me, Everytime, Gimme More, or Circus from her. They seem to be over "cutesy" Britney, at least for now. Tom's Diner totally meets this requirement. While it may help with her brand, I'm not sure it could be a hit. I do have to bring up my extremely unpopular opinion though. The last time we all wanted something more "serious" we got it. And most fans hated it. I do understand the complaints about Britney Jean, but I maintain that was actually a great album full of what fans had been clamoring for. That's definitely another discussion though (that's been had ten thousand times).

This chart run has been very weird. This mini surge over the last week makes me think there are a bunch of small market stations that are not up to date with media 24/7 or sales or anything and all they know is what they hear in the countdown shows they play on the weekend. For them, their first realization that this was not smashing would've been just this weekend...

For them, their first realization that this was not smashing would've been just this weekend... Did you ever think that each radio station plays music that caters to it's demographic? Why do you think Flo Rida gets played so much more in Florida compared to other places? Why do you think Minneapolis has a hard on for indie/hipster music like Hoodie Allen, Vance Joy, and other white music like Maroon 5? It's all about playing music that consumers in your area like, not always catering to the global or nationwide market. For example, I'm on break visiting home right now which is a town of about 5000 people in the middle of nowhere in Minnesota. I have heard Dear Future Husband and Pretty Girls quite a bit and never heard Trap Queen or Somebody despite them being relatively equal performance right now. You must not partake often sweetie.

Yes... I'm tying that back in to my theory and actually it makes more sense if you think about the general public and how some of them decide on what to request..,

Iggy out and Nicki in!!! Seriously though, Nicki is my favorite rapper and she would kill it with Brit. I'll never get over the fact that Brit worked with Iggy instead of Nicki.

Shes already worked with Nicki though.... I don't mean Nicki adding a verse to a song for a remix... I mean a hot song that was originally made with Nicki and released as a single with a hot video.

Blaming Iggy for this is ridiculous.
Britney is not having success before her songs are not near the quality the Circus singles had. Frankly, she doesn't need a rapper, she needs good songs

Frankly, she doesn't need a rapper, she needs good songs Nobody is blaming Iggy because as far as i'm concerned Iggy is a second thought in this single. She neither adds or detracts for most people (I would rather not see or hear her myself but I mean most reasonable people) anyways me saying she needs a URBAN REMIX is NOT for Britney benefit but for my own. I want to hear a second take, cause I love remixes. That is all I meant. I love ratchet Spears!

I definitely don't want Tom's Diner next. I really liked it at first, but after hearing it a couple times, the more it seemed like it would have fit in way to close to 'Chaotic' and 'Mona Lisa' sound wise.

I don't think Tom's Diner will be a single because Britney's team told Morodor (is that his family name) that they don't have the time to shoot a video for it As usual Britney's team f**king up everything!!!! They may have opted out of it being a single at the time so that attention wasn't split between TD and PG. Assuming that was their logic, I can understand why they wouldn't want TD, which is on Moroder's album, to take attention taken away from PG, which is Britney's single.

on the internet people seem extremely cruel and critical. I rarely come across people like this in my day to day life. I guess the relative anonymity of the internet allows people to show their true colors, perhaps. IMO, Britney is a sweet person and I have a feeling she completely detaches from Britney the star and isn't far from retiring. She doesn't feed off stardom like a lot of celebrities do. She has been at the pinnacle of celebrity and I just feel she is almost numb to it.
