As much as I thought Nash Icons was a great idea for Reba at the time, now I'm wondering if they should've given it one more shot under the regular BMLG/Valory umbrella. She has delivered really radio friendly material, and radio does seem interested in it. I didn't think it would be as big of an issue as it's turning out to be...I guess if I had been thinking clearly, I would've been more realistic about the situation. Clear Channel has done this kind of thing before, so it shouldn't be a surprise to me that they're doing it again.

Did this song ever get put into the Top 40 radio countdown? Yes, it was at #39 on last week's CT 40, and was at #40 the week before. It will be at #39 again this weekend.

Any idea where she'll end up tomorrow after recurrents? I know Randy Houser is gone, but I'm not sure about Blake Shelton. I can never remember who had a bullet when. I'm hopeful that'll put her at least at #38.

Blake and Randy will officially go recurrent tomorrow evening. So regular stations are playing it? Yes. As far as I know, there's nothing iHeartMedia or CBS stations can do if Reba's song is part of the top 40 countdown. I believe that's what you meant. "Going Out Like That" is on 43 monitored stations but she really hasn't gotten many adds lately - just 3 total new adds the past 4 weeks.

Is the rule just three consecutive weeks of bullet loss? That's what I was able to find when I checked for what the MB recurrent rule is. If so, I think Blake and Ashley would go too - a fast check of Kworb's archives reveals that this would be the third week of bullet loss for them as well as Randy. The only X-factor I can think of is if there's a 20 charting weeks provision (which Blake and Ashley aren't up to).

If a song has three consecutive bulletless weeks it's sent recurrent, regardless of numbered weeks charting. For example, "Donkey" by Jerrod Niemann went recurrent after just 6 weeks last year. Reba will be at #38 this week. Blake and Randy are the only ones going recurrent.

So regular stations are playing it? Well, if you mean radio stations outside of Cumulus, then I would say no, not really. I think there are 2 or 3 iHeartMedia (Clear Channel) stations that added this a while back, and maybe 1 or 2 CBS stations. There's a handful of other stations (Lincoln, Townsquare, etc...other smaller groups) and some independently-owned stations as well, but other than that it's basically getting played on the Cumulus block only. As far as I can tell, the iHeartMedia stations that carry Bob Kingsley's Top 40 countdown are playing the song, but only as part of the countdown. They haven't added it and aren't playing it outside of the one countdown spin it gets from Bob's show.

I normally don't listen to previews of songs because I want to wait to hear the full thing, but after y'all's reactions to "Enough" I had to listen to it and GOOD GOD I NEED THIS NOW. April 14th is way too far away.

You can now preorder the whole album through iTunes, and "Going Out Like That" and "Enough" will download immediately. Next week, "Until They Don't Love You" will be made available. I like that they have adopted the practice of releasing additional songs before the album comes out because, excluding traditional television and radio promotion, the best way to engage people and inform them that an album release is imminent is by letting them hear some of the music. I also like that "Enough" will serve as the second taste of the album, because the mere fact that she has collaborated with someone popular like Jennifer Nettles should attract widespread attention and will certainly attract Nettles' fanbase. Further, the song has that classic sound that should please Reba fans who may not have completely appreciated the contemporary approach she took with "Going Out Like That." I have been told that "Until They Don't Love You" rocks more than "Love Somebody," for those who heard the song when completing radio feedback surveys.

OMG "Enough" is epic! As a lifelong Reba fan since I was a little kid, this is one of the best tracks of her career! I want this album now!!!

This lost spins on mediabase today. Reba's about to start heavily promoting the album. We know she has the Today Show & ACM performances lined up. She'll also be on Nashville this week. I think with Borchetta's connection to Idol, she'll probably be on there in April or May & I'm hoping she will make an appearance on Dancing with the Stars. Do you think this will get dropped in the next few weeks & kick off the album with a new single? I'm hoping they stick with this a bit longer & the tv performances will greatly increase single sales & get it moving on the charts. However, I would LOVE! to see an "Enough" performance live on the ACM's!! It will be interesting to see what the Nashville performance will do for the sales of "GOLT" this week. I'm just wondering though, should they stick with this a while longer or ditch it & use these upcoming performances as a platform to get the next single up the charts???

Well, do you think this one's done? :(
I'm pretty sure she'll sing this with some of the upcoming promo but I wonder if they'll try to keep it alive through the promo and see if it can get another life or if they'll move on to Enough?

They're still promoting it. It's not done yet. "Going Out Like That" is up over 200k since Sunday but has lost 31 spins. I don't think this will make the top 30, so this might be near the end of the line. The music video just came out a couple weeks back so I presume they like to keep this alive through the album drop, but overall this has had the chart run I fully expected, sadly. There's very little help from outside the Cumulus stations as Reba got another zero adds week this Monday.

On March 31, "Until They Don't Love You" will go up on iTunes, and then on April 7, "Livin' Ain't Killed Me Yet" will also go up.
Reba also performed Until They Don't Love You last night at her concert in Canada.
I noticed the decrease in spins. I'm curious to see how things go after the Nashville Special airs tomorrow night, and if it impacts this song at all.
Also with this Reba & Friends Outnumber Special TV & Radio Special I am curious if a second single will have more of an impact on radio. The radio special is exclusive to iHeart Radio so I'm curious what it may do.

I don't mind this song at all because there aren't a lot of women on radio and it's not sexist like the bro-country movement. After hearing "Enough," I'm realizing just how great of a vocalist both Reba and Jennifer Nettles are. I have that song in my spotify playlist and it's just beautiful. I'm excited for this album. Hopefully they'll actually play Reba on the radio. I just got into country a year ago so I've never really listened to the older women and men of country. I'm listening to the mainstream artists that are relevant now. Reba can sing though.

^Yeah Reba can sing. In my opinion the best vocalist country has have seen. Check out her older stuff, like "Whoever's in New England" and "You Lie" especially. She has amazing vocal techniques and twists to words, the best.

Great performance last night on the Nashville special. She also had a better sales week this week, which affected her HCS position (43-36*), as well as returned her to the Country Digital Songs chart (at #48, but at least she's back on there). Hopefully airplay can stabilize after a rough couple of days - I'd love to see more stations come on board, but I know that's a long shot.

Can I ask what people think first week sales of this album will be? Is 50,000 too optimistic, and is #1 too optimistic? Can she make it to the top 5 on the Billboard 200? With looking at the country album sales I think #1 is doable, lucky #13! That's a lot of questions I know.

Wow. I need more time to process this clip, but I like what I hear. I love that she has branched out sonically but continued recording material with substance. I did not expect this sound when I read the track title initially, but I love that main line - "Sometimes you don't love somebody until they don't love you" - and, though somewhat overhearing, I also like the production.

Oh my gosh, she is making it absolutely impossible to not listen to the previews before the album comes out!! I am loving everything I have heard so far :) I feel like this album is going to be everything we have been missing about Reba...
In response to @adam1995, I do think 50,000 is probably slightly too optimistic. I would expect more in the 40,000 range. But then again, she undoubtedly has numerous fans who are likely to buy albums, much like George Strait, so her opening sales could be shocking! Didn't he push 100,000 opening week with Love Is Everything? She probably has more people willing to casually buy singles and not albums than he does though, which could hurt her album sales... That being said, I do not think #1 on the country albums chart is out of reach at all. Especially if she does get 50,000 in sales. I mean, Martina got #1 last year for Everlasting with waaaaaaay less sales than that! It just depends on how the releases fall. I feel like there is a tangible buzz for her new album, and promotion is only going to get even heavier in the next couple weeks.
Edit: Looking at the upcoming album releases, I see no threats whatsoever to Reba getting a #1 album. Unless Luke Bryan's Spring Break EP manages to outsell hers despite being several weeks old, which I guess could always happen. The only other really big name release is Darius Rucker, who will be two weeks before Reba, and I doubt will still sell more in his 3rd week than Reba does in her opening week. There have been so few big-name releases this year so far... I'm definitely predicting a #1 album for Reba.
