Mariah sacrificed her easy 19th and 20th #1s = Migrate and Side Effects! E=MC2 could've been multiplatinum smash. i won't forget this dumbest decision in Mariah's career Forever and Butterfly should've been released not as airplay only, she was a huge single seller at that time (1995-1998), both songs probably could hit #1 Gone and Addicted would be big hits following Because Of You. The album Breakway could even hit 7x platinum or more. Walk Away is just nothing special. Inside Out and Out From Under were clearly fan favorites, could sell Circus even more. The way Britney ended that almost-perfect era by releasing 1 year old song, Radar was just dumb. The song killed Circus era quickly.

Madonna: Till death do us part (lyrically and musically speaking this was a highlight of a solid LAP album); Impressive instant (after the lackluster performance of What it feels like for a girl, this could've ended the era with a nice bang... Although I wish this had been released instead of WIFLFAG); The beat goes on (Kanye west was big and this was a strong song!) Nelly Furtado: Maneater (it had lots of potential as its radio support showed) Britney: Unconditional You (I just heard this song today and remembered how great this still sounds... Would've been a great way to show Britney's softer sidde with luscious production) Xtina: Let there be love (perfect way to continue pushing the era especially after her success with FTM); Carrie underwood: Blown away, Two black Cadillacs, Last name (lots of potential, especially with BA to have success on the pop charts!) Adele: turning tables (already an album favorite, with big sales, could've extended the life of a solid album, especially if by any chance the label decided to film a proper video with some budget ) Avicii (feat Adam Lambert): lay me down (such a hot song, it would've performed better than ATY and showcased Adam's voice as well as Neil's assets in the middle of a retro revival) Florence and the machine: Spectrum (after the success of Sweet nothing, this Calvin Harris remix could've continued Florence's success); Leona Lewis: Forgive Me (it should've been the third single and break the ballad monotony); Run (after FM it could've taken LL to new heights for transforming this song so amazingly) Lady Gaga: Gypsy (it was the sure fire hit in Ap due to its anthemic nature); Startruck (already a big digital seller it could've been a great 5th single, especially if it had not interrupted Paparazzi's life)

It's been said, many times many ways but
Kelly Clarkson
Sober Let Me Down. Def a surefire hit. Almost as much as What Doesn't Kill You. Wrapped In Red. great potential to be a legit classic. Still can but 2014 was just missed opportunity.

Addicted, Gone by Kelly. I'll never forget the morning I was on my way to school in the fall of 2005 when, during Elvis Duran and the Z Morning Zoo, all of a sudden I hear the crunch of guitars, and the opening riff of GONE started blaring. I was convinced it was the next single after BOY! It did get significant airplay in NY, and I think was even on the year end countdown that year IIRC. You can also add If I Can't Have You and Let Me Down, which was an absolute smash in the waiting, to her missed opportunities.
Side Effects, Migrate, Stay The Night. I'll never get why SE/Migrate weren't singles, but STN i think Mariah nixed because she was wary of having to perform it live, with all those belts. Who knows
Leona Lewis - Take a Bow, My Hands. TAB is a nice change of pace for her, and MH was the closest she was going to get to recapturing BL.
Enchanted and Haunted by Taylor Swift. Both just huge, immense songs worthy of a release.
Pussycat Dolls - I Don't Need a Man, Magic, Halo. Particularly the tracks from Doll Domination, which was a solid but completely mishandled album.

Lady Gaga - Hair, Gypsy (Anthemic, perfect for Summer) Kelly Clarkson - Gone (Isn't it obvious?) Mariah Carey - Migrate (Duh) Imagine Dragons - Amsterdam, Tiptoe (Dunno why they even release OTOTW as a single) Carrie Underwood - Wine After Whiskey, would be a huge Country smash. Blown Away to Pop, will easily become her biggest hit after BHC. Taylor Swift - Haunted, Enchanted (Speak Now would have passed 5 Million now if these two were released) Leona Lewis - Glassheart, Broken (Smashes waiting to happen) Adele - Turning Tables (Such a waste...) Bruno Mars - Marry You (An even bigger waste...) One Direction - Same Mistakes (Such a huge Adult Pop smash waiting to happen) Florence + The Machine - Spectrum (Calvin Harris remix), Cosmic Love (Welch already found success with Harris, don't see any reason why she wouldn't again)

I know a lot of people already said it, but whenever I think of this topic, I always go right to "Migrate." That is one of the biggest shocks in this musical generation. T-Pain was a giant radio star at that time and it would have been a huge #1 hit.

It's a crime that this song from last season's American Idol runner-up Jena Irene didn't smash. I still play the hell out of this one.

Yes!! This would have been a great single to show versatility. I still play this track. I'd also add Out Alive as another Kesha missed opportunity. Not exactly diverse but the only song I actually liked on Warrior. Other songs: Celine Dion: Somebody Loves Somebody, Fade Away, Eyes on Me. I don't know if any of these songs stood a chance at Pop radio, but they certainly were better songs/more radio-friendly than what was released in their places (Taking Chances and Loved Me Back To Life, which were both boring as hell). Jordin Sparks: Freeze, Don't Let It Go To Your Head, Walking On Snow Christina Aguilera: Soar (far superior to The Voice Within, and same idea), Infatuation (could have been her La Isla Bonita) Pink: 18 Wheeler, Long Way to Happy Gwen Stefani: DANGER ZONE--I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND why this didn't get a release when they went 6 singles deep on LAMB. Crash was and will never will be anything but a throwaway track. Danger Zone might be my favorite track on that entire album. It's certainly the one that gets the most spins from me now.

Another one that always comes to mind is Rihanna's "Complicated" from the Loud album. I'm still really curious on how it would have performed

Ciara's "Overdose" >:(
Also Jon B.'s "Love Hurts" would have been a smash hit back in 1997.

Janet Jackson - "Trust a Try", "Come on Get Up", "Where Are You Now" This. "State of the World" from Rhythm Nation 1814 is another no-brainer selection for Janet Jackson. Would've been another #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 had it been commercially released.

Still utterly confused. Could have been one of her strongest post-comeback singles. Mishandled album.
