So pleased with what TOL and I lived are doing on Itunes!
IL is great...but I think it will miss top 10 , though there is not a CS with it on chart (which was the reason for blocking LRO from reaching top 10)
And what I know for TOL is that it will be so HIGh on the year end chart! But I don't think it'll reach even #2 on hot 100!
We'd better admit that TOL is Ed's best hit ;)

-With the lack of Blank Space on this and Shake it OFf on NOW 52, something fishy's going on, because the NOW staff usually make it a point to brag about how many #1s they have on disc and without Taylor they only have 1 each (All About That Bass was naturally on 52). I'm thinking along with barring free streaming, Taylor's executives now are blocking new licensing for value-priced compilations (and this is after EVERY 2013 NOW had a Taylor song).

-The What's Next has Shut Up and Dance, which has hit the Hot 100, and I love the song, though it's not as impressive as getting 2 hits as What's Next tracks last time (No Flex Zone and Life of the Party)

I noticed the same thing too. Taylor's team is really cracking down on how her music is released. The only way they want the public to access her music is by directly purchasing it from her label. (itunes, amazon, physical cd, etc.)

Taylor's label they're really overdoing it..honestly it's just gonna make people lose interest in her music so they think they're so slick and making more money when in reality sooner or later the customers will be driven away. They're acting like it's the end of the world if God forbid someone hears Taylor's song and the label doesn't get their $1.29 or whatever amount for radio airplay for that time that the person heard it.

I honestly don't agree with that... People said she would lose sales by taking her music off Spotify (including me) and look at her now! They know what they're doing, and honestly... it's 2015, who cares if Taylor is on the lastest NOW compilation?

But having your music available on major services like Spotify is a great way to gain more recognition and boost sales because that way even more people will have exposure to the tracks so the label is in fact still losing money. That's my opinion anyway. It's ironic that they're trying to save money and end up doing the opposite. And actually, you are wrong in the end there Surf, because according to the Billboard 200 the NOW series are and have always been very successful on the market
