Since forming in 2010, One Direction has released 4 albums. With plenty of rumors surrounding the future of the group, how many more albums will they release before splitting up?

I see them releasing one or two more and then splitting up.

2. They have a contract until 2016 I know of, but I can only see two more before one of them wants to go solo.

I see them releasing one more album before splitting. They're probably going to want to keep their perfect record of #1 albums intact, so splitting up soon could definitely protect it.

What makes you think that's going to have an impact on when they decide to split? Most artists who legit care about their music, careers, and fans wouldn't think that way. Is popularity and impressive numbers really that important to them? Anyway, I could see them cranking out 2 more albums. I don't know enough about them to give a very confident prediction though.

It seems to me like a couple of them (at least Zayn) have really lost interest. I'm expecting one, maybe two more, before they split and Harry emerges as a superstar solo artist. But who knows, anything can happen

Guessing Harry goes solo after two more albums and becomes the next JT, while the other 4 are stuck getting jobs at Home Depot.

Reportedly they have one more album on their current contract. A few months ago there was a piece in a tabloid about Simon Cowell being desperate to resign them.
BTW, I think album #5 is coming in 2016. That's the feeling I got reading some of their interviews. They will be touring heavily this year again. And let's face it, this one-album-per-year schedule can't be kept up forever. They need some rest - even Simon Cowell thinks so.
Also, this "When will One Direction split up?" watch is really pathetic. I mean, nothing lasts forever, but this fervent speculation whether they will last for another year or one more album is really sickening.
