I would bring up the Old Dominion CD, but that would be doing everyone a disservice.

I think I'm the only person who doesn't care about album art. I buy them for the music.

I think I'm the only person who doesn't care about album art. I buy them for the music. The music is the most important part of any album but when album art is done right like so: you get iconic imagery that doesn't change the music but becomes cultural representations for the music. I think it's an important part of the album because it helps give it an identity that helps spread awareness. If you don't care about it that's great too but for me it's part of the package. :) (I can't get my thoughts properly worded but this was my best attempt lol.)

Where did Jana Kramer's good sounding music go? I just listened to her new album thirty-one and every song on there was terrible except "Love" and "I Got The Boy". The NON COUNTRY beats and the poor lyrics don't mix. Her first album was much better with meaningful songs. I would not recommend this album to anybody. :( . It's funny too because when Taylor came out with RED, Jana said in an interview that Taylor was pushing the limits, well if you ask me Jana's new album is just like it with the beats on it. very disappointed, cus I liked her first album and was hoping this one was just as good. What? Her debut album had a lot of very generic songs on it. I liked it and all, but the new album is waaaay better and more diverse musically and lyrically. I also think it stays very well within the confines of country music so I don't follow that it doesn't sound like a country album. There's some really classy ballads on the album and also some great uptempo fare that radio would (hopefully) like. ETA: Oh and I don't like that new album cover for TBP either, lol. Still love them and I'm excited for the new music, but.... no to that cover.

I do find some covers to be cool, like the Waylon one you posted. The ones I really like are the throwback types, like the Womack one there. I just don't use it to determine whether I'll buy or not. You worded it fine. We'll just agree to disagree. :)

Two New Interesting Johnny Cash Reissues Forthcoming Soon
Artist: Johnny Cash Album: The Complete Sun Releases and Columbia Singles 1955-62 (Box Set) Label: Acrobat Release date: Dec. 11, 2015
Johnny Cash occupies an unusual niche in popular music as an artist who was able to straddle the genres to encompass not only the country idiom with which he is most identified but also rockabilly, blues, rock ‘n’ roll, gospel and folk, to the extent that he was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in country, rock ‘n’ roll and gospel. He was one of the artists who came to fame on Sam Phillips’ Sun label alongside Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis, and during his time with Sun, and later with Columbia, during the period covered by this collection he had over 40 entries in either the pop or country charts, including iconic songs such as “I Walk The Line”, “Folsom Prison Blues”, “”Ballad Of A Teenage Queen”, “Get Rhythm” and “Don’t Take Your Guns To Town”, most of which were among his five country No. 1s. This great 3-CD 81-track anthology represents a substantial overview of his key early career, which set the tone for his several decades of across-the-board stardom, including movie roles, network TV shows and high profile recognition. It comprises all of the tracks released by Sun either on singles, EPs or LPs during this period, plus all the A & B sides of his singles for Columbia from this era.
Artist: Johnny Cash Album: Wide Open Road:1960-1962 Rarities Vinyl (LP Record) Label: Forced Exposure Release date: Nov. 13, 2015
Shortly after his arrival in Memphis and subsequent signing to Sun Records, Johnny Cash performed on KWEM radio, marking the very first radio performance for him and his group, the Tennessee Two. In this performance from May 1, 1955, the group is "amped up, electrified, and absolutely stunning." Rounding out this LP are Cash's highly regarded 1960 and 1962 demo recordings.

Super excited about both the Cassadee Pope and Vince Gill duets. Just from past listening experience, I am going to assume the Vince collaboration is one of the more "country" sounding songs on the album. STOKED FOR THIS CD!

So far I am loving everything about Carrie's new album. I'm really excited to hear the rest of it! All 3 songs she has released have been single-worthy, in my opinion, with "Smoke Break" ironically being the least single-worthy of them

I really wanted to wait until the album came out to listen to anything else besides "Smoke Break," but I caved and listened to "Renegade Runaway" and omg it's fantastic.

Hmm, this is already on Spotify and iTunes, saying it was released on October 9th, 2015... I guess maybe it hasn't been released physically yet so the physical copy release is on November 20th?

You're right the physical copy comes out on November 20. for some reason I cant get the track listings under the cover. Or make the cover bigger.

Tucker Beathard Releases Demos to Spotify: Music RowI saw him open for Maddie & Tae last night. He did a solo acoustic set. He talked about releasing the music on Spotify, and said he isn't sure, but it is looking like "Rock On" will be his debut single.

So did Curb just randomly decide they might as well put Morgan Frazier's album out there now that she's no longer with them? Seems like a very random, low-key release.

They always seem to do this with their artist who leave, put out a best of after they're gone when most of them didn't even get a hit...or like Cowboy Crush just finally put the album out. I'm watiing on Star De Azlan to get the same treatment hopefully! Honestly too I wish more labels would do this, I'd love to hear Joanna Smith's unreleased material, or Leah Turner's, or Bradley Gaskin's or etc, etc..

Morgan Frazier's album is pretty good. I listened to it and I was pretty impressed by some of the songs on there (I ugly cried to "Love Letters"). She has a solid, unique voice. I hope that she's able to find a new label home somewhere else and doesn't just disappear forever.

Also she is actually country, We will have 2 c what happens after the Voice. Hopefully she will win that.

She sold her 2 self released albums when I followed her on Myspace in 2009. I agree with u on Star De Azlan "She's Pretty" was a really good song and video. I hope they would've put Amy Dalley's old stuff on disc.

Not expecting too much to come from that though I admit I don't follow the show so I have no idea what's going on with it and how she compares to the other talent on there. But so far the show has produced very little successful acts post-show and even though the select few that have experienced some have been country, none of them have had more than a hit with a debut single thus far. I have Joanna Smith's unreleased material. She sold her 2 self released albums when I followed her on Myspace in 2009. I agree with u on Star De Azlan "She's Pretty" was a really good song and video. I hope they would've put Amy Dalley's old stuff on disc. I'm guessing he meant her more recent material from her short-lived stunt on a major label. Like I doubt whatever she was selling in 2009 was in connection with what had been recorded around the time of stuff like "We Can't Be Friends."

I was referring to her Sony albums but I also am very happy with finding her two self released albums as well! Honestly I'm interested in most unreleased albums though, I've tracked down a lot and am always on the look out for more! Amber Dotson is one I've always wondered if there's copies of her Captiol album out in the world somewhere, or Rebecca Lynn Howard's 4 unreleased albums. Or Jessica Andrew's Carolwood album. My most sought after one at the moment is SHeDAISY's ' A Story To Tell'.
