Steve Earleโs โGuitar Townโ Album Earns 30th Anniversary Reissue
Steve Earleโs 1986 album Guitar Town turns 30 in 2016 (it did so on March 5, to be exact), and to celebrate the milestone, the project is being reissued in remastered form, and with bonus material.
On Oct. 14, Earleโs debut album will be re-released as a deluxe edition, on CD and digitally. In addition to the recordโs original 10 tracks, remastered from their original tapes, the new double-disc version of Guitar Town will include 19 previously unreleased recordings from a live show at Chicagoโs Park West in 1986, as well as expanded liner notes. The concert will also be available as a double LP; Guitar Town was remastered and re-released on vinyl in May. Following its release, Guitar Town went to No. 1 on Billboardโs Top Country Albums chart and earned Earle two Grammy nominations; the disc has been certified gold. In addition to this special edition of Guitar Town, Earle will be celebrating his debut recordโs 30th anniversary onstage. At more than a dozen shows in the U.S. and Canada in November and December, the singer-songwriter will take the stage to play the album in its entirety. More information about the Guitar Town reissue and Earleโs upcoming tour dates is available on the artistโs official website. A track listing is below. Steve Earle, Guitar Town 30th Anniversary Edition Track Listing: Disc One: The Original Album 1. โGuitar Townโ 2. โGoodbyeโs All Weโve Got Leftโ 3. โHillbilly Highwayโ 4. โGood Olโ Boy (Gettinโ Tough)โ 5. โMy Old Friend the Bluesโ 6. โSomedayโ 7. โThink It Overโ 8. โFearless Heartโ 9. โLittle Rock โnโ Rollerโ 10. โDown the Roadโ Disc Two: Live at Park West, Chicago, Ill. โ Aug. 15, 1986 1. โGuitar Townโ 2. โSweet Little โ66โณ 3. โGoodbyeโs All Weโve Got Left to Sayโ 4. โHillbilly Highwayโ 5. โMy Old Friend the Bluesโ 6. โGood Olโ Boy (Gettingโ Tough)โ 7. โSomedayโ 8. โThink It Overโ 9. โLittle Rock โnโ Rollerโ 10. โState Trooperโ 11. โThe Week of Living Dangerouslyโ 12. โAngry Young Manโ 13. โNowhere Roadโ 14. โFearless Heartโ 15. โI Love You Too Muchโ 16. โSan Antonio Girlโ 17. โThe Devilโs Right Handโ 18. โDown the Roadโ 19. โNo. 29โณ

My Baby's Gone (live) Soooo absolutely excited for this!! Even some that I haven't heard yet before!! I've heard "My Baby's Gone" and "Separate Ways" many times before, they're both really good but Separate Ways is REALLY good. He's been signing bits of "Midnight Slowdance" for at least 3 years now (more so in the past, obviously) and I can't wait to hear the finished product. Truthfully not sure if I've heard "All Time Low" before.. he comes out with so many underground songs and just busts them out and plays them randomly... (some never again) lol. He's all over the place!! Haven't gotten a chance to listen to "My Kind" yet but from what I gather, it's a rockin, catchy good tune. Seriously, everything that comes from this guy is a great song and he's so underrated. Really hoping that this new music gets in the right hands (and ears) and finally starts to do something for him again at country radio... No body deserves it more. PS- I also love how he does whatever he wants, lol. No real buzz leading up to it other than a couple posts the day before saying "new music coming soon.." Soon apparently means dropping a spontaneous EP the next day, lol.

Not judging the music here but wow that's such a cheap looking cover. I'd go so far as to say it's among the worst for a mainstream release I've ever seen.

"My Kind" is available for download. iTunesNot really what I was expecting but awesome, nonetheless. And that's why I love him. Very different from Kip.. and when I say that, I mean it. I've never heard him sing/record a song like this. It's different, clever, catchy, and even though it's more of a carefree, not-so-serious type of song, the lyrics are everything. Not too many people can write a tune like Kip Moore can... that is for dang sure.

Yep, I'm aware thanks :) Erik actually is (finally) releasing his own album - The album release party is actually tonight here in Nashville. He's a talented dude! And I know Justin is doing very well right now too. They're all awesome, lol

I know Miranda likes to write a lot of her music, but dang that's a lot of writing credits from her. Love it! The titles and other co-writers all make me very excited as well. I am so, so stoked for this album. <3

Much better than his last project. Yep. And, there were a lot of fan complaints that "Man Against Machine" was the first album title track from Garth. Well, it's back to a quality Garth album cover and an album without a title track.

Artist: Faith Hill Album: Deep Tracks Label: Warner Bros. Release date: Nov. 18, 2016
Faith Hill's former label is putting together a unique collection of cuts across her seven albums that she's put out for them that were never released as singles. Entitled Deep Tracks, the project highlights some songs that didn't have a radio spotlight on them the first time they were released on previous LPs.
For every single about love that makes the airwaves and becomes a smash hit, Hill has had a deep collection of other songs that have stood the test of time and offer listeners not only insight into her life, but also something more universal that anyone who has felt the pangs and pleasure of love can relate to. Many of these tracks selected deal with those emotions, both positively and negatively.
It's been nearly ten years since we heard Faith Hill on a new album (save for a Greatest Hits and Christmas project) and her long-awaited album rumored to be called Illusion seems have to been shelved. The last single released in 2012 was "American Heart."
1. Better Days 2. Somebody Stand By Me 3. If I Should Fall Behind 4. Free 5. If This Is the End 6. Back to You 7. Unsaveable 8. If You Ask 9. You Stay With Me 10. Wish for You 11. Boy 12. Why 13. Come to Jesus

@ them leaving "Used to Love You Sober" off Kane Brown's debut album. I don't like him at all but that was the one song I've heard of his to date that I actually got into. Neat idea for the Faith Hill album (instead of pulling a Curb and just re-releasing another Greatest Hits-style package for no apparent reason), but how the hell could they leave off "My Wild Frontier"? :'( Also a bit heavy on the latter half of her career seeing as none of the included tracks are from her first two albums.

When I saw that Faith album, I thought is was going to be a collection of some of her favorite songs that she recorded but just never made an album for whatever reason. That would have been MUCH cooler, imo...

When I saw that Faith album, I thought is was going to be a collection of some of her favorite songs that she recorded but just never made an album for whatever reason. That would have been MUCH cooler, imo... I was thinking a similar thing. I understand Warner wanting to capitalize on Faith's name with an album, but I'm somewhat puzzled by an album full of old album tracks from Faith. Maybe they are trying to trick the casual fan into thinking its an album of brand new music? But at that point, why not just release an album of unreleased music? I'm thinking that either a) Faith bought the Illusion album or at least some of the songs from Warner and will be taking them with her to a new label or releasing them independently, or b) there's some non-compete clause in Faith's recording contract (or maybe its industry standard) with Warner that prevents them from releasing any unreleased material when she's no longer signed to the label. I can't think of any label that's done that (releasing an album with new music after they left the label) with a legacy artist like Faith, but I could be completely wrong. But I'd assume scenario A or B is why Warner isn't releasing any unreleased songs on this new album.

Aren't there some unreleased songs though? I don't know "Boy", "Why" or "Come To Jesus" (or if I do, I'm completely drawing a blank).
