So is he getting money for calling his album that? With the r ball following, it makes me think that is in reference to the company. I don't see that MUCH of a difference:

Yeah, like it's literally identical, lol. There had to be some agreement for that, for sure. I didn't even notice before.

Lol, go figure...I just posted yesterday about how we hadn't really gotten much info on Granger's album (other than a measly comment in Billboard about how it was expected sometime in the spring), and then they announce a March 4 release date the day after I posted that. I'm glad Granger's album is getting released fairly soon, though. I'm not really a fan of "Backroad Song", but it's good to see a newer artist getting his album out there at pretty much the same time the lead single will be peaking. That definitely won't be the case with LoCash, which really confuses me because they strike me as a possible one-hit wonder.
Anyway, back to Granger..."Backroad Song" will almost certainly be a top 5 hit (if not a #1), and so it definitely looks like they got the timing right with this album release.

Pretty soon we could have someone naming their album Pepsi or Red Bull.

According to CMT Canada, Jennifer Nettles album Playing with Fire comes out April 8th. She was visiting to play a few of the songs for those in attendance of a lunch event they had. https://www.instagram.com/p/BAkYahnCU8l

Artist: Gene Watson Album: Real. Country. Music. Label: Fourteen Carat Music Release date: February 26, 2016
Texas Country Music Hall of Famer (class of 2002) might have 35 albums under his belt to go along with his dozens of charted hits, but one of the more prolific singer/songwriters of our time is choosing to add to that legacy with the release of his new album Real Country Music on February 26, 2016.
The album is filled with Watson interpreting classic country songs from many of his favorite songwriters and singers he's met over his long and illustrious career.
Kris Kristofferson recorded the first track, "Enough For You"(written by Kristofferson) and included the track on Jesus was a Capricorn (Monument Records, 1972). Larry Gatlin wrote and recorded "Help Me" and included the track on Rain / Rainbow (Monument Records, 1974). Mark Chesnutt recorded "She Never Got Me Over You," which was written by Hank Cochran, Dean Dillon and Keith Whitley, and included the track on Rollin' With The Flow (Lofton Creek Records, 2008). It was the last song Whitley ever wrote before his tragic death in 1989. The album reads like a country music who's-who with songwriters and previous cuts by the likes of Bill Anderson, Waylon Jennings, Billy Jo Spears, Jerry Lee Lewis, Nat King Cole, Ray Price, Conway Twitty and more.
Track Listing:
1. Enough For You 2. When A Man Can't Get A Woman Off His Mind 3. Help Me 4. Couldn't Love Have Picked A Better Place To Die 5. A Girl I Used To Know 6. Bitter They Are, Harder They Fall 7. Ramblin' Rose 8. A Bridge That Just Won't Burn 9. Ashes To Ashes 10. Old Love Never Dies 11. She Never Got Me Over You 12. All My Tomorrows 13. I'll Find It Where I Can

Jessica Andrews' unreleased album from 2004/2005 is now available on iTunes! Terrible cover art, by the way.

She could've just put some picture of her, just like she did with her last couple of single she's released independently. And no, I have no idea why it's out just now. Maybe she finally got the ownership of the masters from her former label. She doesn't have a Facebook page and she's not active on Twitter/Instagram, and there's no mention of it. Funny that her Wikipedia page is updated and does list this album as being released today.

More than likely they (Jess and Marcel) bought The masters from UMG.

Hey, thanks! I looked for it yesterday and had no success! Does anyone think with all of this she might be making an attempt at a comeback? It seems like such an odd time to buy the masters.

If she is it makes sense because women are finally getting more chances at Country radio. I think she may be able to find a new label and have much better success.

Back in 2012 she said she was starting to plan an album, I remember this interwview, but the link is dead. Luckily, we can read a bit in this post: thatnashvillesound.blogspot.com.br/2012/04/interview-with-jessica-andrews.htmlWhile I was looking for this interview, I found this one where she talks about her past prescription drug addiction. I'm afraid we're departing for the thread's main topic and it's my fault, and I'm sorry.

Hey, thanks! I looked for it yesterday and had no success! Does anyone think with all of this she might be making an attempt at a comeback? It seems like such an odd time to buy the masters. Marcel also got the masters to his album that was supposed to come out around the time Jess was on Carolwood/Lyric Street. As for Granger Smoth's record,
Artist: Granger Smith Album: Remington Label: Broken Bow/Wheelhouse Records Release date: March 4, 2016
After seven independent albums and with an assist from his redneck alter-ego Earl Dibbles, Jr., Granger Smith is ready to unveil his first major-label release that comes on the heels of his very first top-ten radio hit, "Backroad Song." The album, entitled Remington, will see its release on March 4, 2016.
Frank Rogers, known for his multi-platinum work with Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, and Josh Turner has been brought in to produce.
“Frank’s a smart guy,” says Smith. “He saw quickly what we were doing and who we were speaking to, and he understood that. He said, ‘I dig what you’re doing, I like the way you’re building your business model differently, and I want to be a part of it.’"
“I have been a friend and fan of Granger’s for a long time,” adds Rogers. “He is honest, heartfelt, and down-right hilarious. I feel the sky is the limit for Granger, and I’m proud to be along for the ride.”
Remington track listing:
1. Backroad Song 2. Tonight 3. Remington 4. If the Boots Fit 5. Tailgate Town 6. Blue Collar Dollars 7. Crazy as Me (feat. Brooke Eden) 8. Likin' Love Songs 9. Tractor 10. Echo 11. Around the Sun 12. 5 More Minutes (GS Reloaded Bonus Track) 13. Country Boy Love (EDJ Reloaded Bonus Track) 14. City Boy Stuck (feat. Earl Dibbles Jr.) 15. Merica (feat. Earl Dibbles Jr.) It's definitely a Granger Smith record. Even the two outside songs, ("If The Boot Fits" and "Blue Collar Dollar") suit him, albeit in more of an outlier way. Granger has been making records for 16 years now and he has evolved with the mainstream but remains a gifted lyricist and entertainer. I'm actually surprised he hasn't been snatched up in the mainstream before now. "Tractor" is a song for his father, "5 More Minutes" is from an earlier record from 2009 and great (it's about enjoying our loved ones while they're here). The title tune and Crazy As Me are strong romantic songs. He reminds me a lot of Dierks in songwriting approach and that's a good thing.

Hey, thanks! I looked for it yesterday and had no success! Actually guys, be careful with anything that isn't her twitter (https://twitter.com/bysbaby) or she has directly tweeted about like her instagram account of the same name. I spoke with her on twitter a few months back about some accounts on instagram and facebook, she said that someone has been impersonating her as well as Marcel for years on various social media outlets (twitter/facebook/instagram/myspace/etc). They've tried numerous times to shut them down but they always pop back up trying to say her real account on twitter is a fake or she's lying. She seemed annoyed by the whole thing and knew who the person was that was doing it but couldn't do anything about it really.

Given the album has come out as Jessica Andrews Music, I'd be shocked if that page wasn't hers. I guess it's possible some former manager is pulling that (which might explain the terrible artwork) but I'm thinking this page, the album and Marcel's stuff are them.

I met and talked with Marcel on my last trip down to Nashville and he had told me about the impersonators as well, the singles that had been put up on iTunes in the past were not her doing and this is released by the same people. I'm happy that the music is out for people to enjoy but I'm not happy that there's someone ripping them off.
