^ I would love that to be a full album, but I think maybe it's ~just~ a single. Bummer, but better than nothing anyway. But if it's a holiday song I will like it even less lol

Artist: Jeannie Seely Album: Written In Song Label: Smith Music Group Release date: January 13, 2016
GRAMMY award-winning and longtime Grand Ole Opry Member Jeannie Seely will release her next album on January 13 entitled Written In Song. The project includes 14 tracks all co-written or self-penned by Seely and includes 14 songs recorded by country legends like Merle Haggard (“Life of a Rodeo Cowboy), Dottie West (“He’s All I Need”), Ernest Tubb (“Sometimes I Do”), Ray Price (“Enough to Lie”) and more.
The project includes special guests including Kenny and Tess Sears, Connie Smith, Marty Stuart, Jan Howard and Jessi Colter.
“Written In Song is such an exciting project for me for many reasons,” states Seely. “It consists of 14 songs that I have written over the years, most of them recorded by my peers and my heroes. It’s also very rewarding to know that these songs have stood the test of time and are just as viable today. I am extremely grateful to the musicians and singers who made them sound brand new.” A BMI-awarded songwriter, Seely’s songs have been recorded by Country Music Hall of Fame members Faron Young, Merle Haggard, Connie Smith, Ray Price, Willie Nelson, Ernest Tubb and Little Jimmy Dickens, as well as by many other artists including Doyle Lawson, Lorrie Morgan and Irma Thomas.
Written In Song Track Listing:
1. Sometimes I Do 2. He's All I Need 3. I'm Never Gonna See You 4. Senses 5. Anyone Who Knows What Love Is 6. You Don't Need Me 7. My Love For You 8. Leavin' And Sayin' Goodbye 9. The Pain Once You're Gone 10. He Always Got What He Wanted 11. Life Of A Rodeo Cowboy 12. Enough To Lie 13. Who Needs You 14. We're Still Hangin' In There Ain't We Jessi

I ordered it the day it was first available as a bundle with the Christmas CD. Received an email last night that it was on back order. Not happy at all. 2 friends who purchased the bundle last week got it today. Stupid that you couldn't order the bundle and get it at the store. This is the first time I have not had a Garth cd in my hands on the release date since No Fences.

Artist: Valerie June Album: The Order of Time Label: Concord Music Group Release date: January 27, 2017
You may know Valerie June as the siren in red who accompanied Eric Church at his stunning performance of "Like Jesus Does" at the 48th Annual ACM Awards in 2013.
The Americana artist will release her follow-up to 2013’s breakout LP, Pushin’ Against a Stone on January 27th, 2017 (Concord Records). The now-Memphis-bred Brooklyn-born songwriter "weaves electric blues, African rhythms, cosmic atmospherics and delicate soul into an inventive and wholly original rumination on love, family, struggle and the passing of time."
Produced by Matt Marinelli, The Order of Time includes twelve original songs all written by June and features appearances from June’s family, her father, Emerson Hockett and brothers, Patrick and Jason Hockett.
June has developed what The Independent’s Andy Gill describes as “the most strikingly individual delivery I’ve heard in ages.” Percolating somewhere between Dolly Parton and Billie Holiday, June’s is a stop-you-dead-in-your-tracks voice, the kind that grips your imagination and paints her Southern portraits in vivid detail.
Many of those portraits are drawn from Tennessee, where June grew up between the small towns of Humboldt and Jackson. She moved to Memphis after finishing high school and considered attending art school, but ultimately settled on singing in a band. The clash of creative egos proved to be more draining than inspiring, though, and she quickly made the leap to solo artist.
The Order of Time track listing:
1. Long Lonely Road 2 Love You Once Made 3 Shake Down 4 If And 5 Man Done Wrong 6 The Front Door 7 Astral Plane 8 Just In Time 9 With You 10 Slip Slide On By 11 Two Hearts 12 Got Soul

I've been enjoying "She's With Me" a lot lately. I haven't checked out the rest of the instant grat singles yet though. "I Be U Be" sounds like an awful song though...

I own High Valley's 2014 Canadian album County Line. Both "Make You Mine" and "She's With Me" were on that album. I still play that album constantly. "She's With Me" (maybe it's already been posted on Pulse, I don't know) was the second single from that album and received a lot of great reception. I am stoked that they are getting airplay here in the states. I must own this album. These guys do not disappoint.

"Young Forever" from the Madden NFL 17 Soundtrack is underwhelming (being polite here)

Artist: Phil Vassar Album: American Soul Release date: 12/2/16
Phil Vassar has built a legion of fans over the course of his award-winning career, and he is constantly being asked when he is going to release new music. The wait is now over, as the singer, songwriter, producer and proven hit maker has set December 2, 2016 as the date his American Soul project will be available. The title cut single has just been dropped to country radio.
"I am beyond excited about this new music," said Phil, whose reign of signature songs includes 10 No. 1 singles and 26 Top 40 Hits. "We have an amazing team put together, and the time is right to get this new music out to the fans."
American Soul was produced by Vassar and his longtime vocalist/guitarist and collaborator Jeffery Smith. Vassar and CMA and ACM Song of the Year winner Tom Douglas co-wrote the upbeat title cut, which makes reference to iconic American imagery. In addition to Douglas and Smith and one song he wrote solo, co-writers on the 11-song album include Billy Alcorn, Charlie Black, Scooter Carusoe, Aubrey Grant, Pete Kipley, Layng Martine, Matt Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Tim Ryan and Craig Wiseman.
The unique album cover was painted by noted artist Jason Irwin whose portfolio of abstracts includes some of the biggest names in music, sports, television and movies. The beautiful American Soul cover is filled with classic Americana references - musicians, ice cream, classic cars, and nods to hunting, beer, sailing and more. The vibrant, edgy artist also speaks to Phil's music, which many liken to Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen.
The album cover can also be found wrapping the first Music City Beer Co. commemorative packaging. Music City Light, the flagship beer, was created by Nashville musicians and venue owners to embody the spirit of Music City. Music City Beer Co. plans to partner extensively with the Nashville music community. Given Vassar's wide range of success and long-standing community involvement, he was a natural choice to serve as the brand's inaugural ambassador.
When not on the road over 150 dates a year, Phil has been taping episodes of his popular "Songs from the Cellar" show. Each episode incorporates artists, songwriters and wine connoisseurs such as John Rich, Tommy Shaw, Steve Cropper, Mike Tyson, Carrot Top, CAM, Hunter Hayes, Jeffrey Steele and others as featured guests. The celebs intertwine storytelling and music with wine and food pairings, and the wine, beer, bourbons and other cocktail favorites featured during the shows are inspired by the guests themselves.
American Soul Song List: "American Soul" (Phil Vassar, Tom Douglas) "I'll Meet You There" (Phil Vassar, Layng Martine) "Big Time" (Phil Vassar, Craig Wiseman) "I'm Not Made That Way" (Phil Vassar, Jeffrey Smith, Pete Kipley) "Mississippi" (Phil Vassar, Jeffrey Smith, Billy Alcorn) "Sound of a Million Dreams" (Phil Vassar, Scooter Carusoe) "Stay With Me" (Phil Vassar, Jeffrey Smith, Aubrey Grant) "2nd Avenue" (Phil Vassar, Charlie Black, Jeffrey Smith) "Voice In My Head" (Phil Vassar) "Sure Feels Good" (Phil Vassar, Matt Ramsey, Trevor Rosen) "The Ballad of Pretty Mae" (Charlie Black, Tim Ryan)

Artist: Danny Gokey Album: Rise Label: BMG Records Release date: January 13, 2017
American Idol alum Danny Gokey is set to release his fourth studio album, “Rise” on Friday, January 13th. Gokey’s previous 2014 album, “Hope In Front Of Me,” was largely informed by the death of his first wife, Sophia, who died unexpectedly after what should have been routine heart surgery. To this day, the experience has shaped who Danny has become. But on all 12 tracks of his new album, "Rise," he documents how far he has come ...risen, actually... above his adversities -- and argues that others who wrestle with similar challenges can find new meaning in their lives too.
“I wanted to create an album that not only challenged me musically, but that connected with people in an honest and sincere way,” said Gokey. “I wanted to use the peaks and valleys of my life’s experiences to create a feeling through the music, while conveying a message of optimism through its lyrics. I’m hoping that it resonates with everyone that takes the time to listen.”
Drawing from his own experiences with depression and searching for meaning, he assures listeners that hope beckons even in the darkest moments (“Stronger Than We Think”). He acknowledges the social unrest that clouds our world but points toward the light that lies beyond its reach (“Better Than I Found It”). He promises that no problem is too great to overcome (“The Comeback”) and that even those wounded by loneliness can find love (“Symptoms”). All of these messages stem from Gokey’s most personal struggles and triumphs. And their power stems from his unique eloquence as a writer and passion as a vocalist.
BMG recording artist Danny Gokey became a favorite of millions of fans as a Top 3 finalist on Season Eight of American Idol. His first album, My Best Days debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. Following, Danny has
celebrated a series of #1s including his latest full album release, his first Award-winning holiday album, “Christmas Is Here,” as well as singles including “Hope In Front of Me” and “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again.” He is also the founder of Sophia’s Heart, an organization established in honor of his late wife that provides hope and help to homeless families in crisis. It also has a thriving inner city Music & Arts program in Danny’s hometown of Milwaukee.

I believe, "Why" was released in 1999 as part of the Faith album??? Or around there somewhere.. Labels usually end up releasing a couple more albums after the artist has departed the roster. I wouldn't be surprised if they put out another collection soon. I picked the album up today, and "Why" turns out to be the same song that Rascal Flatts put out as a single a few years back. Unsurprisingly, I like Faith's version a lot better, probably just because I'm a much bigger fan of Faith than of RF. I like all three new songs though, but probably not worth buying the album for. It had been so long since new Faith music though that I just couldn't resist getting three new songs, lol.

When it didn’t make the final cut for the album, Dann Huff, who produced the track, ended up recording it with Rascal Flatts, who released it in 2009. It is a very poignant song and still resonates today. Written by Rob Mathes and Allen Shamblin.

Too bad that they didn't keep it and add an extra track on the album.

Artist: Ray Benson & Dale Watson Album: Dale & Ray Label: Red House Release date: January 6, 2017 Source
For the first time ever, Ray Benson and Dale Watson are teaming up for an album of classic country duets and original new music. Under the simple moniker of Ray and Dale, the beloved Ameripolitan musicians will release a self-titled LP on Jan. 6. The record will feature a cover of Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard’s “Write Your Own Songs” and “I Wish You Knew” by the Louvin Brothers. Fans will also enjoy some brand new tracks, including “Feelin’ Haggard,” “Dale and Ray,” and “Bus Breakdown.”

Artist: Band of Heathens Album: Duende Label: BOH Records Release date: January 13, 2017 Source
Duende, the title of The Band of Heathens’ fifth studio album (and eighth overall), marks their tenth anniversary as a group. It's an apt name for a record whose themes explore the collective search for connection and communion in a technology-fueled world increasingly splintered, distracted and lonely. As band co-founder Ed Jurdi, who first learned of the term, explains, “It’s the essence of the artist,” or as partner Gordy Quist says, “It’s a word we don’t have an equivalent for in English, artistically, that’s where we tried to set the bar, to do what this band does best.”

Artist: The Infamous Stringdusters Album: The Laws of Gravity Label: Compass Records Release date: January 13, 2017 Source
"Written in the middle of the most divisive, damaging presidential election in recent memory, 'This Ol' Building,' the lead-off single from the Infamous Stringdusters' upcoming album Laws of Gravity, finds the Virginia-based bluegrass band ringing a warning bell, hoping to startle all unengaged listeners out of their stupor...mixing the Infamous Stringdusters' arsenal of unplugged instruments - guitar, Dobro, upright bass, banjo and fiddle - with an implied beat that stomps and swaggers...The highlight, though, is the song's a cappella outro, which finds bandmates Andy Hall, Andy Falco, Chris Pandolfi, Jeremy Garrett and Travis Book piling their voices into harmonized stacks. As the pattern repeats itself, the harmonies begin overlapping, sounding like the contemporary, minor-key cousin of the Doobie Brothers' 'Black Water.'" --Rolling Stone Country, 11/17/16

Artist: Whitney Rose Album: South Texas Suite Label: Six Shooter Records Release date: January 27, 2017 Source
Whitney Rose may be a native Canadian, but the sound the young singer-songwriter has crafted for herself is entirely Texan twang. On January 27th, Rose will release the new EP South Texas Suite. A collection of six songs, the project is the follow-up to last year's Heartbreaker of the Year, produced by Raul Malo of the Mavericks. On South Texas Suite, however, Rose goes it alone, producing the entire EP by herself. Songs like lead single "My Boots" – available today on iTunes – and the south-of-the-border tribute "Three Minute Love Affair," a paean to the Lone Star State's dance halls, bristle with local flavor. Now residing in Austin, Rose cut the record at Dale Watson's studio in town.
____________________________________________________________
Artist: Nikki Lane Album: Highway Queen Label: New West Records Release date: February 17, 2017 Source
Outlaw country-rocker Nikki Lane's been hard at work on the follow-up to her most recent LP, 2014's Dan Auerbach-produced All Or Nothin'. For Highway Queen, due Feb. 17 via New West Records, she's taken on the role of producer herself, working at Denton, Tex.'s Echo Lab and at Nashville's own Club Roar with engineer Collin Dupuis (whose recent credits include JEFF the Brotherhood's Zone and Angel Olsen's My Woman). That's a helluva lot of work — not to mention that she runs her own vintage clothing store — so it seems perfectly fitting that she would need a break here and there.

Artist: Ned LeDoux Album: Forever a Cowboy Label: Thirty Tigers Release date: December 2, 2016
Having the last name LeDoux in country music carries a big, storied and bittersweet shadow but it’s one Ned LeDoux proudly stands in as he prepares to bring the cowboy back to country on December 2 with his debut EP Forever a Cowboy.
“I’ve been working around country music for a long time, long enough to have seen Chris LeDoux and understand how much he meant to the rodeo community,” said David Macias, President, Thirty Tigers. “He was them and became one of the most important chroniclers of that life through his music and artwork.”
“Sometimes when a child of the truly great decides to follow in the footsteps of the parent, we hold our breath and hope for the best, but in Ned, we find something exciting, something informed by the tradition that he came from, but also very much his own. I should have known when I found out that he was working with Mac McAnally that it would be terrific, and it is. We are excited to welcome Ned into the Thirty Tigers family. I hope (and think) that this will be a long and fruitful relationship.”
Forever a Cowboy, produced by award-winning Mac McAnally, includes “We Ain’t Got It All,” the first new Chris LeDoux co-write in over two decades. When Ned’s mom passed along a stack of his dad’s papers that included a list of unfinished song ideas and lyrics, Ned packed them up and travelled to Nashville to work with McAnally where they finished one of the ideas which became “We Ain’t Got It All,” – a brand new song by Chris LeDoux, co-written with his son Ned and McAnally. The song has now become Ned’s personal favorite to sing on the road because it’s the first original song he co-wrote with his Dad saying it’s a nice tribute as it seems to pick up right where his Dad left off and carries on the LeDoux sound to and from a new generation.

Raelynn announced today they are delaying the album till 2017. The pre-sale actually looked like it was going pretty well on itunes, and she had an appearance lined up on Ellen for album drop day (dec 2nd). The release teases a new opportunity for the album, I would guess they're adding a duet with Blake. theboot.com/raelynn-wildhorse-album-delayed/
