The Top 3 will remain pretty much the same for at least 2-3 weeks at best.

The oldest song is now "Stay With Me" with 33 weeks on the chart. It will probably fall off next week, thus allowing a three way tie for oldest song being "Boom Clap", "Rather Be", and "Black Widow".

If "What I Like About You" charts, it will have been six years since a remake of another Top 40 song has hit the countdown. That was "Beggin'" by Madcon in 2009. I wonder what Ryan will say about it.

Totally forgot about "Beggin'". The last remake I could recall charting was Quietdrive's "Time After Time" (2007). I guess it hasn't been quite as long as I thought it was.

Looks like the chart has gotten itself back on schedule. The top 25 is fairly close to the Sunday 1/4/15 chart.

Some nice jumps for Ed Sheeran and JNH & J-Law.

Any other week, JNH and J-Law would have had the biggest jump of the week by far. But not this week. Even so, that's a great move by them this week!

Out of curiosity, has any affiliate (CHR or HAC) managed to play all four optional extras? Two of my recordings didn't. I don't think KIIS did either.

While introducing this, Ryan did mention that the original was by The Romantics from 1979 and that it failed to hit the top 40 (#49 peak on Billboard). A remake by Michael Morales did make the top 40 in 1989 (#28 Billboard, #21 R&R). Ryan played a snippet of that version.

They still have a chance to claim the highest peaking version of this song though if it can peak #28. Why not release it?

Other factoids that Ryan mentioned:

Prince Royce has already had two #1s on the Latin chart but this is his first AT40 hit.

Fifth Harmony is the biggest girl group of the decade and One Direction is the biggest boy band of the decade.

If Usher's latest hit makes the countdown, that will be his 25th of the century, tying him with Eminem for 2nd place as the solo men with the most this century; only Justin Timberlake has more with 26.

We got 3 songs not played on the show before. I wonder if it would be better to not have
all the old songs(more than 20 weeks on, and below #20). I can't decide. It seems like Ryan
doesn't spend all that much time talking. He probably comes in for about 30 minutes. I used
to listen to The Oldies Countdown, and heard that the music is inserted afterwards.
Centuries is climbing slowly but surely for now.
Ryan said at the end that Taylor plans re-imagined versions of her older songs for her tour
this year.
