Under Cool New Music - early airplay from HAC station WRVW/Nashville and Y100/Miami. They're part of Disruptor Records and are partnered with Epic for this release.
Somehow I was the first person to click this video.

He kind of sounds like Sam Smith. Anyone else hear it?

He kind of sounds like Sam Smith. Anyone else hear it? I can see that! I also think he sounds a bit like Cee Lo Green.

Impacts tomorrow (AllAccess)! Definitely gives me an Avicii ft Sam Smith feel.

I can hear the Cee Lo comparison more than the Sam Smith one. I can see this being a hit over the spring.

The beginning of the song reminds me of Let me love you.
I didn't like it at first listening, maybe it grows

Giving this a bump with the accompanying video (it's the SUBWAY Fresh Buzz Song on AT40 this weekend).

I've really grown to like this - nice, breezy tune that's perfect for the warming weather. I just wish it was more structurally interesting than [verse + pre-chorus + chorus]*2; even a bridge thrown in or some variation in the second verse would elevate it even more.
By the way, their EP release was pushed back to June 9 (original release date was last week).

I think it's a bit of who is fancy case, the promo (in this case the video) coming a little too late when the song seems dead on radio

I think it's a bit of who is fancy case, the promo (in this case the video) coming a little too late when the song seems dead on radio I mean the video came out a month ago back when the song still had a bullet. I don't think it was nearly as mistimed as the Who is Fancy or Tori Kelly talk show appearances. I'm not entirely defending the push here, however. This song hit radio before anyone had any idea who these guys were. They had like 200 Twitter followers and no official photos. That's not indicative of the connection you need to make waves at radio. (But you can't even blame Epic for that - the song did receive a solid # of adds from pop and Hot AC early on, and sales weren't terrible given the complete lack of identity) Truth is, though, there was likely a ceiling for this one anyway. People associate this country-EDM sound with Avicii, and despite superior production, massive name value and proven success at radio, he hasn't been able to do anything recently either. Without some sort of special viral buzz or momentum, I don't know that this was doing much better than Top 20-25 even with a more strategic radio push.

Without some sort of special viral buzz or momentum, I don't know that this was doing much better than Top 20-25 even with a more strategic radio push. The songs hitting the radio too soon generally end being on their way down when the song is reaching its best positions on itunes. I don't think it's uncommon for a song reaching top 50 on pop when it's at 500 (or even not charting) on itunes, but when that's the case the label should move a little because if the airplay don't push the sales too soon, it will be sooner or later, but it's pretty clear the song will collapse and drop like a stone. There are label that do a good job, i remember Am i wrong coming out of nowhere, from a totally unknown artist and with a low position on itunes, but the sales increased really fast and catch the airplay. Stuck on a feeling on the other hand or more recently Nobody love, never get the push at the right time. And songs like Octahate are on risk on ending the same way.

Started to get Airplay on 97.1 Amp Radio in Los Angeles recently. I like this. Could end up being a hit.

...which is also what I told you when you PMed me about it earlier yesterday. "Overload" is long done and they're working "Dreams" to HAC now.
