Name some performers you think would make great Halftime headliners in the future!

Good question... Uh... Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, and Ellie Goulding? All have good vocals and good songs.

Carrie would be excellent in a few years.
An awesome vocalist who can absolutely kill the lights with her energy, plus she's likeable, and if she gets a few more great uptempo under her belt, she'd kill it.
She's an absolute BEAST when she performs Rock covers; a guest appearance by Slash, Steven Tyler, etc. would show her versatility and (probably) make older viewers happy.

Good question... Uh... Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, and Ellie Goulding? All have good vocals and good songs. Coldplay I could see possibly, but I feel like their songs aren't fit for a Halftime show... they're more on the mellow side than anything imo. But it could work! Imagine Dragons - In the future maybe? Not enough songs yet, but I could see it if they keep getting smashes... we'll see how they're doing 5 years from now. Ellie Goulding - Not in the same caliber, but if she all of the sudden hits a hot streak of hits you could make a case for it. I would enjoy seeing Ellie at halftime!

P!nk and Carrie Underwood are the first who come to mind.

Taylor Swift (biggest star) and Coldplay (one of the few contemporary "arena rock" bands) are the obvious choices. The latter a bit less so since it's been quite some time since they've had a true smash, but I still like that choice.
If the project stays hot and buzzworthy, I'd be into a Rihanna/Kanye/Paul McCartney show next year.
Imagine Dragons is one of the most exciting mainstream live acts (they always steal the show at awards -- and would kill it in this setting), but they'd need to demonstrate longevity. (Another option would be to pair them with a rapper - ala the killer performance with Kendrick Lamar)
The Black Keys have the perfect combination of credibility, recognition, talent and discography to do this. As do the Foo Fighters. I'd love either (and a joint performance even more). But I worry whether last year's definitive reveal that the instruments are fake would discourage a legit rock band from doing this. Dave Grohl, in particular, doesn't seem like a guy who'd be on board with an air guitar show.

Taylor Swift[When the Diet Coke deal ends] Garth Brooks Ariana Grande Selena Gomez[If Katy Perry can do it why not her?] Rihanna[She was considered for this year's show]
Acts who I'm not in favor of that could do it- Justin Bieber One Direction 5 Seconds Of Summer
NFL has done it before with *NSYNC and New Kids On The Block Halftime shows in the past.
Veteran Acts that could do it- Bon Jovi AC/DC Queen Def Leppard Guns N'Roses

I think its Rihanna turn to try and entertain. Pink would be a better choice of entertainment. My personal choice? Janelle Monae she would put on a incredible performance and dazzle us but yeah she isn't a household name.
Most likely choice? the worst one will be made and Taylor Swift will likely be in one of the next two based on her sales and shit.

Britney would be my first choice. A Britney half time show would cause the Internet to break, for one reason or another. Who knows if she would even be remotely interested though.
P!nk and Taylor Swift would be great choices and of course Carrie too.

Pink. I was actually thinking of how kickass a show she could do while watching Katy perform.
Love the idea of a Rihanna/Kanye/McCartney show. Finally get this Paul character some exposure.

Add Katy's dancing sharks in the background and you have the greatest Super Bowl performance in history right there.

I still think Bon Jovi is the obvious answer following the old-school stadium rocker mentality, but given the draw to younger acts I feel that, unfortunately, Taylor Swift is likely up next. I'd love them to give a rapper a chance, and I think Jay-Z would definitely be a less polarizing choice than Kanye Kardashian.

Considering Carrie was pretty much set to do it this year but got knocked up (never confirmed, but hinted at in an interview as well as reported by multiple media outlets), I think she's likely to do it next year. I have a hunch!
So... artists I think would be great are:
Carrie Underwood P!nk Kelly Clarkson Garth Brooks Shania Twain Usher Taylor Swift

I would totally lose my shit if he starts singing "I'll freak you right I will" on the Superbowl and then the uber hilarious "O.M.G." and "I Don't Mind" all the while taking off his shirt and dropping his pants.

Changed my mind, now I'm hoping for Usher to do it. (If not, then back to my choices.)
