Actually, releasing a Sia featured remix of this is probably the one and only thing that could get this to do something. I say do it. They dug this hole for themselves with terrible single choices, might as well at least try to make the best of a bad decision.

Y'all are telling me this is what you'd play on your beach BBQ's with your friends after jamming out to Cool For The Summer by Demi Lovato and Watch Me by Silento? The answer to your convoluted and condescending question is yes, if I lived by a beach or had time for those summer BBQs that are supposedly rampant, but I question if they really do exist or if it's all just a hoax.

It seems like Heartbeat Song screwed up this era completely. It was very generic and wasn't really that memorable. My local stations (very small area, though) never picked it up and have actually been playing "The Middle" a lot more since Heartbeat Song was released.

This has low callouts on HAC even though it is almost top 10 on that format. I don't seeing it going to POP with those scores and her sales.

At this point I just want this to sneak into the top 50 on pop and let it peak on hot ac . Hopefully we get a third single

oh god, the HAC callout scores are out and... how can they be THIS BAD?? Can you post them? I figured this wasn't going to do well on HAC. At least not by Kelly's standards. This is VERY worrying because HAC is her core market and we have said she could release anything and get it to go near the top on HAC. Now this track is calling that into question. A good track, tailor made for HAC and it may not even make the top 10 and likely got as high as it did because of her name and track record on the format. What will her next release do? I want a new single but at this point it may be very wise to just let the era end on radio and focus on the tour. Then go back into the studio and make sure she has better material next time. I love the album but there were zero radio hits on it. She needs one or two. If no one is willing to give them to her then she's going to need to consider pressing hard for collaborations (we know she has tried) or trying different sounds (TYH is a start). Otherwise it may be a good time for that switch to country. I am probably panicking over nothing and making it a bigger deal than it is but this songs performance on HAC speaks volumes to me.

While I’m a tad dismayed with “Invincible” and its performance at CHR/HAC, I’m not entirely surprised. People just aren’t excited about Kelly’s music this time around. I think that's even been mentioned here before. On paper, this era hasn’t been a total mess. A No. 1 album is a No. 1 album no matter how dismal the sales, so that’s a plus for this era. I’m hoping this song can pick up some steam and keep moving up on HAC. I mean, even “All I Ever Wanted” peaked at No. 11 on the format. Though I do personally love that song, I would expect “Invincible” to do better as it just seems tailored made for HAC. However, more and more HAC seems to be pandering to CHR tastes so that could also explain its lack of success.
All this just means that when Kelly returns to the pop/rock sound, it will be welcomed with open arms. They’ll tout it as a “return to form.” In about 5 years those folks that grew up in the 2000’s will be nostalgic for the sound of their youth, and Kelly was a big part of that. As much as people here want new sounds and musical styles from her (me included), the general public will always associate her with pop/rock. She just does it so well. Not sure that she will go back to that sound as she seems to be moving on from it and doesn’t seem at all interested in former glories, but I do hope she considers it.
This is pop music after all, where everything old is new again. One day pop/rock will be in vogue again, albeit in a slightly different incarnation and I hope Kelly is there to deliver some gems (as an almost 40 year old…lol). Anyhow, my rant is done. Ha-ha.
*Listens to “Nostalgic”*

I thought I was going to like this cd more than the first few times I heard it. I am warming up to it and if I had to pick the next singles I guess I would go for. "Nostalgic, Warpaint, or Take You High". I also like "Let Your Tears Fall" and "I Had A Dream" a lot, actually more than "Warpaint and Take You High". I guess I'm all over the place with single choices for this cd. LoL. Sorry for the ramble.

oh god, the HAC callout scores are out and... how can they be THIS BAD?? Because this song sounds so old skewing and AC minus the H that I can imagine the AARP crowd asking for a little more oomph. Not that I don't like the song in its own inoffensive easy listening way, but nothing about this is appealing to a young audience in general.

many of us saw this coming , aside from few people who i will not name. now people r saying the song doesnt have enough ooomph?? it so does to me, those crazy high notes are providing more than enough oomph.
it's stalling on hot AC at #14. i guess her reign as hot AC queen has come to an end as well. taylor, katy and pink have done/are doing better on hot AC (& pop radio of course)
im debating if they should close the era after Invincible. these strings of underperformer/total flop singles cant be good for kelly's brand. seems like nobody is here for her this era, but im happy the tour have been getting great reviews, aside from low ticket sales in some venues.

i think p!nk will be fine, she has great momentum from her last album, she has very strong image & attitude, i think p!nk still connects w younger pop radio listener. p!nk is also very smart about her material. she/label makes sure she has 2-3 strong single materials to carry her entire era, while experimenting and does whatever she wants on the rest of the album. big pop acts need big pop hits. pretty simple.

Been hearing this a LOT on the HAC stations here. Keep hoping the success there will push Pop stations to give this a second chance.

Such a shame. Feels like this is the last single, but I'm holding on to hope that they throw TYH out there as a last ditch effort. Couldn't hurt.

They're pushing her as a hot AC artist now, and "Heartbeat Song" and "Invincible" both have made the top 15 there. "Invincible" could even secure a top ten spot in the coming weeks over there. There will be a third single to hot AC, I'm sure of it.

^I meant for Pop. Whether or not she gets another Hot AC single doesn't really matter much imo, since its not helping to sell any more singles or albums.

Top 60 smash! Lol but seriously, it sucks that this doesn't have any momentum and the momentum for this project is seemingly gone. It's such a shame.

PBP never had any momentum behind it so we can't act like this killed anything. It just didn't bring the era to life (predictably)

don't know why I put off listening to this for so long, but this is great
meh at its performance so far, but then again considering how she's being marketed it's not too bad I guess

It's definitely a shame how this era panned out. Invincible was never meant for big radio play tho. Although HBS should have been way bigger than it was.

has this hit hot 100 yet ?? No. I caught this on the radio a week or two ago and my God, if that's the version that is being played at all stations no wonder the callout scores were so terrible. It had been sped up and even sounded slightly pitched - which I expect for a pop station, but this was an AC one so I'm not sure why they felt the need to do that. Anyway, the speed actually took away from the beat of the song IMO, and the pitched quality made Kelly's voice sound thin and less powerful, and almost not even like it was her. Overall the song sounded really unpleasant and borderline unlistenable by the time it got to the big notes at the end (because of the perceived thin voice these notes felt grating on the ear). Not like the album version at all. I don't know how well Invincible would be faring without all that, but taking a decent-sounding song and making it sound like crap certainly doesn't help.
