I will be taking an adventure to Target to buy their CD tomorrow, which I cannot say I've done for an artist not named Carrie Underwood or Kacey Musgraves since... I don't even remember when. Multiple years ago. Hell, I haven't even purchased an album off of iTunes other than Adele's in a year probably (thanks Spotify/Apple Music). That's how much I love these guys music (and especially this song).

Sad to say that I was left a little unimpressed by Pawn Shop. There were a few standout tracks, but the collection of tracks as a whole wasn't that great for me. :(

"Stay A Little Longer" should be the #1 song this week as "Die A Happy Man" lost 80 spins and nearly 500k in audience today, while Brothers Osborne took over the #2 position from LoCash.
This is "Stay A Little Longer's" push week and since it appears Valory will finally let go of "Die A Happy Man", there's little standing in the way of UMG taking #1 on Sunday. "I Love This Life" hasn't really done much of anything (rising or dropping) the past two weeks.

This might have to settle for #2 on Billboard as "Die a Happy Man" is falling really slowly and "Stay a Little Longer" doesn't seem to be gaining enough audience (from what I see on Mediabase) to make up for the audience gap...

Thomas is definitely moving down slow, which is to be expected, since his song is still testing and selling so well. But we still have four days and I do think the spins gap will evaporate by Sunday. It remains to be seen if "Stay A Little Longer" will be a MB only #1.

I also think "Stay a Little Longer" will have more spins than "Die a Happy Man" at the end of the chart week, but audience might be harder to close since Thomas hasn't lost that much audience...

This should be #1 on Mediabase by Sunday. Right now the gap of spins between "Stay A Little Longer" and "Die A Happy Man" is about 80 spins (Thomas Rhett still with the lead) but Brothers Osborne will pass Thomas in spins by tomorrow or Saturday. I have "Stay A Little Longer" finishing with roughly 61 million in total audience by Sunday morning and right now "Die A Happy Man" is at 62.4 -- its only lost 400k in audience since Monday. I expect Brothers Osborne to overtake Thomas in points though, by Sunday.
As it stands now, "Stay A Little Longer" has to make up about 3 million in Billboard audience to take the #1 position by Monday (Thomas started the Billboard week with a lead of 5 million in audience). UMG will continue the push and we'll see just how much audience Thomas will lose from now until Monday -- that's the biggest factor right now. Stations just don't want to drop "Die A Happy Man's" daytime spins down like most #1 singles, once they start falling -- its just a huge hit that radio wants to play heavy still because their listeners want to hear it (testing, sales).

I just don't want to see this song fall to Die A Happy Man. This song is the one I so badly want to see hit the top.

There was an article in yesterday's Washington Post about this group, as they are from Maryland.

Anyone know where Pawn Shop charted at on the Billboard Country Album chart? It should debut at #3 behind Stapleton and Hank Jr.

"Stay A Little Longer" moved to #1 on the Mediabase rolling chart today, so Brothers Osborne will score their first #1 single tomorrow.
This song has gained 3.2 million in total MB audience since Monday, while "Die A Happy Man" has lost 1.1 million in MB audience. I put Thomas' Billboard audience lead at roughly 1.0 million as of Saturday, so "Stay A Little Longer" should take #1 on both charts this week since the Billboard chart still has two days left.

Officially #1 on Mediabase: They've got a bit more work to do on Billboard, though. It'll be interesting to see if they keep pushing through Sunday, because if not, a loss of audience in the Monday morning update could mean that Thomas Rhett hangs onto the #1 spot on BB. I do expect Brothers Osborne to come out on top of the Billboard chart as well, but it's definitely not a done deal. There's still some uncertainty.

Thomas broke even in audience today, while Brothers Osborne gained just over 500k in total audience. If Brothers Osborne loses audience in tomorrow's update it could spell the difference if Thomas has another day like he did today.

After listening to the album again, I think they're making a big mistake if 21 Summer isnt released next. I like American Crazy/Down Home more, but 21 Summer is about as guaranteed a hit as it gets.

They've got a lot of options on this record for the next single. If they wanna pull from some of the success Chris Stapleton is seeing, they may go with "21 Summer" because it has that same feel to it. In concert, they said that "Loving Me Back" was a f**k you to everyone who said they weren't country. I'd love for that one to get released. "American Crazy" is definitely safer and would make sense to be next. My favorite right now is "Greener Pastures" but that would probably never be released because A) it sounds too country/honkytonk and B) it's about weed.
They definitely have options.

"21 Summer" is easily my favorite song after "Rum", and I also think it has the best chance of being a hit. Nothing else stood out to me as being a huge hit. I liked "Pawn Shop" too, but I could see that one getting some rough callout scores (Though probably high sales to spin ratio).

Today update shows that Stay a Little Longer gained 355k in audience and Die a Happy Man lost 443k in audience. Used numbers from the kworb updates and today's update.

This may not have gotten #1 on Billboard. Press release touts it as a #1 but conspicuously never clarifies *where* it went #1.

#2 peak on Billboard.
Booo. On the bright side, it did come in favor of a huge hit and I actually commend a song that spent six weeks at #1. Bummer that this song couldn't get #1 on both charts but a split is what looked very possible early in the week and even though I thought the edge went to the Brothers Osborne later in the week, it still wasn't enough.

As cool as it was to see a 6-week #1, I don't care for Thomas Rhett that much and I think a much better scenario would've been a 5-week #1 for him so that this one could make it too. Shame this one came up short.
