Am I the only one that likes Halsey? Listen to "Ghost" Ghost isn't bad...much better than New Americana I second this. I love Ghost, everything else I've heard from her is alright. The lyrics to New Americana irk me, but I don't hate the song. I am, however, not looking forward to its inevitably long chart run and crossover to Pop.

I don't have a problem with "Ghost" and besides the lyrics in "New Americana," I'm alright with that song as well.

Negative bullet's over -500, so I guess this actually was payola (or label pushing song up Alt chart, somehow) - can't believe it turned out to be true

Uu, this is pretty good. I got a Veruca Salt vibe from this. This wasn't released to active at all?

This wasn't released to active at all? Correct. The Lumineers cracked the chart, but this didn't.

Well then, I don't usually enjoy payolaed songs as much as I enjoy "Moaning Lisa Smile". I think a 90's retro revival is inevitable though, and I can't be the only one who feels that way, which explains why a lot of stations found themselves involved with a song like this.

If this are the songs that are getting payloa to be played on Alt radio then put me down for $50

Oooo, I hope hope hope for a '90s retro revival! Alternative rock this decade has been on an '80s new wave kick, and though there are plenty of songs I've enjoyed, the sound has begun to run its course for me. Time for some loud and raw alternative rock songs like we had in the '90s. "Moaning Lisa Smile" could be a harbinger of things to come. It would have fit in very well on the radio from 1992-1997 -- and perfectly from 1994-1996. Anyway, sorry for bumping an old topic, but I just heard this song the other day and downloaded it. Loved it the first time I heard it. Time to put the 'rock' back in 'alternative rock.'
