She's so hot....still. LOVE her.
Saw the first Toronto show, and it was great. Can she still sing like she used to? No, but she had some great moments.

Saw her last night in Montreal. She definitely puts on a fantastic show, and I found her voice to be way better than a lot of people have been giving her credit for.
She impressed me by speaking quite a bit of French to the audience.

I can't believe I am seeing her tonight at Madison Square Garden and again tomorrow night at Nassau Coliseum here on Long Island! I feel like the tour was just announced like 2 weeks ago! I always heard her crossover hits as a kid on my local pop stations (country wasn't popular where I grew up) and loved those songs, but then I discovered the rest of her catalog about 5-6 years ago and I've become a HUGE fan ever since. I consider Carrie to be my favorite artist, although sometimes I wonder if Shania is taking that top spot lol.
My seats for tomorrow night are on the floor which should be awesome, and I'm going with 2 of my friends (I kind of had to drag them, but one of them is more excited to go than the other). The MSG show for tonight I got as part of the $20 ticket special (I bought 4 tickets) last week. After I couldn't get more friends to go, I was going to re-sell them, but then decided to give them to my Mom. She only got 1 friend to go, so I decided why not go with them since it is Shania's last tour. My cousin is also coming with us.
Anyway, I am super excited for both tonight and tomorrow!

She started off a little shaky during the "Rock This Country!" opening, but pulled herself together quickly. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with her vocals on some of the more uptempo songs at first, but when I got home and listened to some of the videos I took, she sounded better than she did in person. Perhaps it was the sound system at MSG. Her vocals on the ballads sounded fantastic live and on the videos I took. Her band is fantastic and the production of the show was awesome. The energy was just out of this world, and I give her such props for getting back on stage and singing live after all she's been through. I am stoked for Round 2 tonight here on Long Island!

The show on Long Island last night was also phenomenal. I thought she sounded better than she did the night before, although that could have been because I was closer (I had floor seats), maybe?
Either way, I am more than satisfied with her performance. The fact that she is even able to sing again after her vocal disorder is amazing. She looks amazing and her concerts were a blast. I highly recommend getting tickets if you're a fan. It could be your last chance to ever see her live!

I got tickets right at the stage in Charlotte July 19! I flew to Vegas to see her in 2013, I wouldn't miss her when she's 20 minutes from my house!

Glad you enjoyed the shows, ant. I would have to agree from experience in Vegas that floor seats are better sound and visual wise. I don't have floor seats for this tour, but I am not in the highest seats either. I am the lower part of the second section, so it should be so fun.

Sorry for the double post, but she was AMAZING!
She started a bit rough on "Rock This Country", but definitely found her niche soon thereafter. Her ballads were breathtaking, "From This Moment On" live is EVERYTHING! So glad I got to see her live, it was a dream come true. Before I was ever a Carrie fan, I was always all about Shania Twain. Loved her then, and love her now no less.

Love hearing all of the positive experiences about the tour. I wonder if we will get a DVD near Christmas. I know the setlist is near the same as the Vegas show, but the production is so different. Plus, I would imagine if she does add new songs during the second leg (even if it is just one) that would be an additional reason to warrant another DVD release.

I don't know how many Shania fans that are attending the Rock This Country tour are interested in tour programs, but according to fans who received the VIP experiences, got a small package in the mail last week, that noted the tour programs were not completed yet, but would be shipped to VIP fans. I am assuming that starting next month at the very latest, the programs will be sold at the shows. I am wondering if the delay is due to the possibility that they could have used pictures from opening night (June 5th) with Shania and her blonde hair.

I am seeing Shania on Thursday at the Garden in Boston. I am so excited. Saw her for the first time ever in '98 and now this will be my 5th show (sadly, never making it out to Vegas).

I found this pre-concert summary of Shania before her Miami concert tomorrow night:
Shania Twain Hits Miami for One Last Tour By Liz Tracy | Miami New Times | July 15, 2015 Shania Twain may not be impressed by much, but just about everyone is impressed by this pop-country siren. She's the Denzel of females — all talent with a perfect visage. And just like that runaway train Mr. Washington spent a whole movie trying to slow down, she's proven to be almost unstoppable. The singer of feminist anthems like "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" and wedding staples "You're Still the One" and "From This Moment On" has had her share of country-and-western heartache. She lands like a cat, though, always on her feet. When Twain was a kid and her family was in need of money, she began singing at bars for extra dough. When her husband left her for her best friend, she retreated to heal, only to find love with that same friend's ex. When a lesion damaged her vocal cords, she retired to Switzerland, returning to the stage in Vegas for 2012's Still the One at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. She has hit her stride again and again. Twain is heading to 67 cities this summer and fall for her Rock This Country tour. It's been more than 11 years since she toured North America, and this is slated to be her final time on the road. The chanteuse says that after two years at one spot in Vegas, she realized she missed going out to where the people were rather than have them coming to her. "It's a very exciting time for me. For fans, we're going to be reintroduced to each other," Shania says. "Music is bringing us back together, and we're going to celebrate and reminisce with all of the hits." Though Ms. Twain went Vegas, don't expect her set to look like the Bellagio. She claims it's a whole new look that no one has seen before. Oddly, though, she admits to bringing her horse on tour once to get some exercise and see some new landscapes. But this time, she's leaving the equine life at home. Instead of riding Mr. Ed, she'll record a new album during her breaks. But, sadly, audiences on this tour will not hear songs off her upcoming release. "This tour is really all about the classics," she reveals, but also, "to say goodbye to the stage on a high." She says if the album moves ahead quickly, though, by the end of the tour some lucky buggers will catch her performing them in concert. However, don't think Twain is leaving the game for good. "It's certainly not my retirement from music," she says. She'll be making music till she dies, but she's finished with the performance side of the biz. She'll turn 50 this August and has been onstage since she was 8. Forty-two years makes hers a pretty fantastic career. These days, she'd rather write for up-and-coming artists and spend time recording her own albums. "I've evolved a lot over the years," she explains. "My life has changed so dramatically, and my point of view has changed in a lot of ways. The way I see my role onstage and what I mean to fans and what they mean to me, all of that is more valuable, and it's just another level of maturity and gratitude. I'm looking forward to just exchanging that and experiencing that with them." Shania Twain with Gavin DeGraw. 7:30 p.m., Thursday, July 16, at American Airlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami; 7867771000; aaarena.com. Tickets cost $43 to $133 plus fees via Ticketmaster.com. www.miaminewtimes.com/music/shania-twain-hits-miami-for-one-last-tour-7750657
I think there is some new commentary in the article above. At least for me. I haven't seen the last paragraph stated anywhere else. She had two or three days off the tour at the beginning of last week so I wonder if she found any time to record some more. From an interview I read, she has the songs written (which is largely common knowledge now) but they are nearly finished demoing the tracks that will make the album. From her book, I believe the demo process is one of her favorite parts of the recording process because she gets to see what sounds fit the theme of the album. Also, she stated somewhere that when recording a song for the album, her vocals made the studio engineer cry. That is refreshing (not that I had any doubts about the quality of the music, but I am glad others find the new stuff compelling). I don't know if I've posted about it here, but Matthew Koma (Hilary Duff, Tiesto, Carly Rae Jepsen, Zedd) has been confirmed in several articles as one of the album's two producers. ( www.newsday.com/entertainment/music/shania-twain-rocks-the-country-with-her-final-tour-1.10583972) T Bone Burnett (Elton John, Alison Krauss, Robert Plant, Nashville TV Show Soundtracks) and Ryan Teddar have been rumored as other possible producers.
Apparently, Shania was part of a meeting with Mercury Nashville via conference call and she discussed a roll out plan for the new album and possibly continuing the tour overseas.

I saw her last Friday!!!! I had a surprisingly good view for being on the second level and I forgot how much I love some of her songs.
She looks amazing, though blonde on her is a bit surprising. My only gripe was that only 2 songs from Up were performed, as that is my favorite album of hers.

My only gripe was that only 2 songs from Up were performed, as that is my favorite album of hers. Glad you had a good time. She has really pushed the Up! era to the side. Even on the final leg of the Up! Tour, the selection from the album was sparse. I get that Mutt raised the key and some of those songs may not be as well known. But, the thing is people DO know those songs and she can change the live performance key to something lower ("I Ain't No Quitter" from the GH album is an example). I really wanted FAFA (which might be a totally different song if the key was lowered), but songs like "She's Not Just A Pretty Face or "Thank You Baby!" would do just fine in a lower key.

The country/pop star grabs the No. 1 ranking based on $19.3 million in sales from 15 shows at the first 11 venues on the 18-week jaunt. Shania Twain Says Final Tour Doesn't Equal Retirement: 'I Will Be Doing Music Until I Die' Marketed as her farewell tour, Rock This Country launched in Seattle on June 5, but headed next to Vancouver to begin a 13-show stretch in nine Canadian cities through June 28. Two days later at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Twain kicked off a run through 34 U.S. arenas that will continue through late August. The Rock This Country tour’s initial ticket on sale date was in March, but in May a fall North American leg was announced, adding 19 more concerts during September and October. An international trek has been rumored for next spring and summer, but a tour extension into 2016 has not yet been announced. Twain last toured 11 years ago behind the 2002 release of her fourth -- and most recent -- album Up!. That trek ran from the fall of 2003 through the following summer with jaunts through both North America and Europe grossing $87 million from 96 reported shows. Most recently, she appeared in Las Vegas at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace with Still the One, her residency production that ran from Dec. 1, 2012 through Dec. 13, 2014. Sales from 105 performances reached $43 million from 346,021 sold tickets during the two-year run. www.billboard.com/articles/c...r-sellout-shows

I saw the show in Charlotte tonight. Wow! She looked and sounded phenomenal! The stage production was incredible! The best indoor pyro I've ever seen at a concert! She flew directly over my head and I got less than 3 feet from her when she came thru the crowed during AMOM. She's definitely one of the greatest entertainers on the planet!

Great videos, McCreerian! 23 days and counting for me. Now for the album, I wonder if Shania will release something on her birthday. She usually does surprise fans with something on her birthday. (I think last year was the only year she did not). AND, I just looked...her birthday falls on a Friday, which is the new global release day. She has said she wants to debut something new in her 50th year and possibly during the last part of the tour. Leg one of the tour ends August 23rd in Fresno and she doesn't return until mid September for leg two. During that period, fans could become familiar with a new song and then she could add it to the set before leg two starts.

USA Today's Brian Mansfield reviewed last night's Nashville show.I followed the show on socials last night to see if any Nashville royalty would be in attendance. Some names in attendance: Kacey Musgraves, Karen Fairchild, Kix Brooks, Suzanne Alexander, Kip Moore, some of the America's Morning Show team, Rachel Potter, Taste Of Country, Country Music Is Love, and Miranda Lambert. Pretty cool to see some bigger names came out to see Shania.

This means it IS ACTUALLY happening. I have always believed Shania, but with her pushing the album aside for so long, I got aprehensive that she would just say, "forget it." Matthew's details are great! I am sooooo freaking excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!
