I jut think we are in a new world of music. Artists are going to start releasing more songs at once and maybe even doing less videos and focus more on touring and other forms of revenue. I think everyone at the label is probably very pleased so far and this song is still showing great signs of being a hit plus there are still tons of hits to come. Rihanna has done this with her past few albums already though. The main difference now is Pop is starting to embrace some more Urban songs again, so they're more likely to pick up her Urban singles than they were in 2011-2013. This is why it didn't make much sense for her to push two Urban-leaning songs to separate formats at the same time. Both would have been Urban/Rhythmic hits if released separately. Yeah, this is something I don't get. This is clearly something that works on urban just as well as pop, if not better! There was no need for dual release. Needed Me first then this would have made loads more sense.

Has re-entered the Top100 on US iTunes (it's now at #100). It's also at #23 on New Zealand, #31 in the UK, #45 in Australia, #69 in Canada, and #72 in France.

#93 in Ireland (was ~#50 earlier today) It's at #77 on Ireland now, it seems to be moving up and down a lot KIB got 29 adds on Pop (5th most added) and 3 adds on Rhythmic. 110/188 statins have added the song so far. That's around 59% in 3 weeks.

The #1 album a few weeks ago was a debut with just over 2K sales so I don't think it is that hard to move up and down, Dangerous Woman is also all over the place right now. I still hear Work on the radio quite a lot. Heard KIB once. For some reason it reminds me of What Now in a way. I can't see it going #1, but I'm really hoping for top ten at some point (both CHR and Hot 100)! It's much better than Needed Me.

^ i was surprised that i don't see KIB on the Rhythmic chart. the two songs are both urban leaning, imo... but there's not much pop on the album... so KIB makes sense as a pop single. They can't really go without a pop song for too long... but they might have held off on KIB for another month or two?
i'm just now realizing that NM has a video they released like 2 months ago.... WTH? How did i miss this? Apparently I'm not alone given it's really low view count.

That's just from the infamous ANTI Diary. Anyway, I too don't understand the logic behind this dual release, but whatever. Just gonna sit back and hope for the best :)

^ i never watched any of the diary NeRD ... annnnd i just got punished for it by falling for that fakery. perfect. this era is going way better than i thought it would - commercially - as weird as it's been. i initially thought there'd be a more commercial album after they gave this one away. it's managed to get considerably better for me over time - but i'm still at a loss for picking any more singles from it. with the success of Needed Me, however, it makes me feel like there's some options.

The only clear remaining Pop single after this and NM that will be left is Love On The Brain.

I don't hear a pop hit, but given Needed Me taking off like it has (even if just at urban/rhythmic).... I'm unsure of my instincts at this point. Pop is morphing a bit. Or I'm just getting older. HORRIFYING.

HORRIFYING. Pop "morphing" is a good thing though. There was nothing worse that dealing with the constant EDM songs during the 09-12 craze. I'm always a fan of diversity on this format. And it's even better they're giving R&B songs a chance again.

Pop morphing is good - but when i don't "get it" I just feel out of the loop and instantly finger point at my age. There does seem to be a united front on behalf of a lot of these pop stars with their R&B leaning singles. It's been so long! Speaking of which... I think one of the best tracks on ANTI for me is Close To You. It was pretty instant. A simple pop-leaning ballad with soulful vocals. Kiss It Better is good, but it doesn't give me all the feels.

Yes, moving back up on iTunes! Are people going to admit that ANTI has already turned out to be a success? Work was a massive #1 single, one of the biggest songs of all-time, Kiss It Better is already almost Top 25 at Pop, and Needed Me is taking over on Urban and shot up to top 20 on itunes and both still have plenty of life in them, even work still is doing awesome

Who said ANTI wasn't a success? I haven't seen anyone saying that since it's first full week of release got it to #1 on the BB200.
This is probably gonna end up as one of her biggest albums so far, even if album sales are (understandably) not that big.

This is probably gonna end up as one of her biggest albums so far, even if album sales are (understandably) not that big. There's still a widespread resistance to "consumption." Particularly SEA. Many still hold onto the idea that albums and songs are meant to be ranked based on *sales* -- and that streaming is a categorically inferior reflection of interest. Hell, Billboard, the driving force behind the "consumption" chart, doesn't discourage this mindset. It still regularly reports on milestones in pure album sales. It's a mindset you see here all the time. People complain about songs reaching the top of the Hot 100 based on streams. Do they ever complain about songs charting well based on sales? And, from a pure sales standpoint, "ANTI" has not been performing particularly well. Certainly not as well as its constant presence in the Top 5/10 of the definitive "albums chart" would suggest. But I also think "ANTI" is a great case study for *why* SEA and TEA are important to consider. This album just feels "bigger" than random country or adult contemporary-skewing albums that sell 25K in a given week. It's great that we're finally able to reflect that success. And streaming is the way I consume 99.9% of music - I imagine more and more people feel the same way. It's great that such consumption finally counts.

By default, it is one of the biggest songs of all-time.

But it's too early to tell how it feels, like let's say in 15 years time. So I wouldn't use the words "history" or "all-time" there yet.
However, it will be one of the biggest songs of 2016
