Mario Vazquez made it to the top 12 on season four of American Idol, but dropped out of the competition when Clive Davis offered him a record deal at J Records. This was his debut single. It was produced by Stargate and written by Ne-Yo. It peaked at #35 on the Hot 100 and #6 at CHR/Pop. This was bland as hell. I did like a few songs on his album though.

This was cute for what it was at the time, but now I kind of cringe. Great voice, though.

He was SOOOOOOOOOO GAY. Hearing him sing this was a bit ridiculous.
Ne-Yo has been guilty of some truly over-dramatic, god-awful lyrics in his time. This was definitely one of them. Nice melody though and Mario had a good voice.

I really love it. I've heard this song off and on through the years and I don't remember being that fond of it, but I rediscovered it earlier this year and I've been listening to it a lot. I actually bought a used copy of his debut album for a penny (plus S&H) because there are at least a couple other good songs on the album, so I thought it was worth getting.

At the time this was out, many had speculated that this was only doing so well on radio due to payola because the massive airplay had not translated into digital sales, which can happen sometimes. But it had done so poorly with sales that there was that disconnect.

I enjoyed this at the time, but it's not very good. Ne-Yo had two songs with completely awful lyrics (this and "Unfaithful") that were hits at the same time.

This is one of those songs that felt a lot bigger than it was. I still like it but it is very bland.

I hated this back in 2006 and dreaded hearing it on the radio. Luckily for me, it has become obscure and I haven't heard it in many years.

Loved this when I first heard this. Forgot about it in so many years then one day stumbled upon this old gem on YouTube. Realized the lyrics were corny but still think this song is a jam.

I loved this when it first came and still stick it on mixes today. The cd it came off of had some good tracks on it. I believe “One Shot” was the follow up, but apparently did nothing. It was a nice song. I was always hoping they would have released the track “Fired Up” from the album. It was a bop and kind of sexy. I purchased this album and really liked a decent amount of it. I was always hoping for a follow up….
