Love it! Not as much as "Madness," but I'm satisfied. Yes. Aside from AWOLNATION (for whom I had the lowest expectations), this is the only from this slew of Alternative core act lead singles not to disappoint me.

3:11 is the best part of the song. My God, that part kicks so much ass.

I was expecting something heavy when Matt said they were "going back to their roots", but I like this nonetheless. I like "Psycho" a lot more though.

Quite different, but overall better than "Psycho". It has a similar feel to "Madness" without really sounding alike. I'm sure it'll rocket up Alternative and hit #1 for at least a few weeks.

"Psycho" is better in my opinion as well. Honestly, I'm not sure how much I really like this one. It doesn't sound original enough for me. I definitely hear the Depeche Mode influences and some of you may want to shoot me, but I've never really been a big fan of them. bang bang...Depeche Mode is probably the best band ever!

American Idiot: I would never actually shoot anyone but I'd be tempted to strap you down and force feed you Black Celebration & Music For The Masses ala A Clockwork Orange, only audio instead of video...although Anton Corbijn directed some kick-ass videos for them in the 80s & 90s

This is like a hybrid of "Undisclosed Desires" and "Madness", needless to say I love it. I actually prefer it too their last two lead singles.

I needed to let this one sink in and after a few listens I think it’s ace. The production is top notch, and while I too was expecting something a little “heavier” like Psycho, this is the Muse that I have come to love. They are forever pushing their sound forward.
To me, this is a mix of Panic Station and Madness.
Excited for the album (not that I wasn’t before) as they are 2 for 2 for me.

If I hear them on the radio or in a store or restaurant for example, I wouldn't groan and say "Oh... Why!?! Why?!?! Why?!?!" They're just kind of "there" for me. Not bad, but nothing special to my ears.

lol, if there had to be just one person on Pulse to dislike a lead single from a hugely successful or popular band, my money is on you each and every time

Muse are actually one of my favorite bands so I expect this to grow on me but I haven't been too crazy about any of their lead singles since "The Resistance"

Why not like both at the same level? I like the comparison Red made to Queen, but then again, I hear alot of Queen in Muse songs. Both songs have really great Muse elements. A great Alt chart would have both songs at numbers 1 and 2 in the comming weeeks. Kinda something out of the Beatles story. Wishfull thinking on my part, but it would be be some cool groundbreaking shit.

I agree, Dr. Indie. The two songs sort of represent the best of both worlds of Muse. Would love to see both songs smash, but that's just wishful thinking, me thinks.

as this song adds 220 spins per day Psycho spins actually fell from 258 to 249 I'm in agreement w/ above that both of these deserve to be big hits...maybe Psycho's rise must wait until after Dead Inside's chart run concludes

This song is one of the few songs that are slaying on Alt Chart that I'm really 100% behind. The more I listen to way the synths are played, the more it reminds me of post 1985 Duran Duran. Songs like "wild Boys" "A View To A Kill". Even some Arcadia. The drum work also resembles that 1985-87 style. You couple that with the fact that Muse are one of my favourite Alt bands who seem to get it right everytime. Just on thier last album alone "Madness" had Queen inspirations. "Panic Station"(my absolute Muse fav) had INXS inspiations. "Big Freeze" a little U2. Not to rain on anyone's parade , but I hope "Dead Inside" cuts short "Believe"'s reign at #1.

Come With Me Now was pretty successful on all three formats. I'm sure there have been others more recently though. Congregation maybe?
