Single has drifted out to iTunes #211. And album #335.
Hard to understand the drift down given the good spins and buzz. But plenty of time left and I assume some good TV slots to come....

The spins generally don't have that much effect till a song it's in the top 30, that's the reason why radio generally doesn't drop a song they pushed up even when there's very low on itunes till it reach certain position

The song is still new and is not even in the top 200 in total AI yet, so its iTunes rank is expected. Most of the buzz is currently in forums at this point and not in the real world.. I think if they want to drive sales they should discount it on iTunes. That would raise awareness and will help the song return to the top 100 in iTunes. If they discount it while it's still climbing in CHR (like Republic discounted Chains, Somebody, Talking Body, etc. on time. Not like Scooter's recent clients, where both Goodbye and Nobody Love were discounted too late) then it will increase the buzz and help the song and the album sales. |

It's at 46 and 36 hac Most added at Hac 2 weeks running. Second most added at Chr last week and in top ten this week. It's moving really well for a song without an hourly deal and for a guy who has been away from radio for a few years |

Yes, it's doing way better than expected. Adam never was big, his last era was a radio disaster and this is not a catchy formulaic pop song, so i'm frankly surprised it's doing that well.
I think it has a chance to be top 40 by the weekend

I'm impressed by the radio adds for this song, i hope it reaches top 20 at least on Pop and top 10 on HAC.

You are such a negative nancy :| The single has been only out for about 2 weeks, and the fact that it is still in the iTunes top 200 without huge promo is a good thing. Compare that with the Trespassing era, where he barely made top 50 on the radio charts and fell out of iTunes top 200 almost immediately. If this song is given much more radio play it will definitely climb up the charts. |

This thread was doing so well not mentioning Idol or other contestants.
I'm rooting for this song even though I don't like it that much. The rest of the album sounds amazing from the way he described it so I don't want the era to go by unnoticed.

But it's not about sales at this point. It'll be about sales if this song reach the top 30 and sales are still the same. Right now sales are irrelevant. This is fluctuating on itunes from 190-230, if it falls deeper it could be worrisome, but staying in that range is not a problem. It's a good point to start to climb when the airplay rise And as i say, tv promo will be important, but i don't think right now it's the best time unless of course it's a big one like The voice or something like that, if not, it's better wait a bit till the song is higher on airplay |

You seem to be getting a bit impatient, but I don't think we'll see any significant uptick in Itunes sales until he gets more Pop adds with corresponding increase in spins to have a more meaningful presence on radio. Remember that first week sales of WWFM were about 11K. As we know, the song became a platinum hit because of radioplay. With more radio airplay and promos, the song will pick up momentum. |
