I hope it's a good song, but I highly doubt it will be better than 45S.

That clip sounds scorching hot but may as well move this to the Urban forum. This is going to be an Urban smash like "Birthday Cake" or "Pour It Up" that really doesn't come into the pop equation. As such it seems unlikely to be her Hot 100 #1 of this era so Bruno Mars (& Madonna) fans can exhale a little, but it should smash where it's supposed to without a doubt. You never know what Rihanna ha team has up their sleeves to market :)

Accroding to Mediabase's current day report, already been played on 6 stations, 1 rhythmic, 1 top 40 and 4 urban stations.
Edit: now 7 stations, added one more urban station.

I am NOT here for Rihanna getting "inspiration" from another source to use to her own advantage. Wut? Nobody lives in a bubble and everyone gets inspiration from somewhere for the music, lyrics, title, music videos, etc. Is it only an issue because this is a reference to an obscure film that you happened to already know and love? Your "wut?" and "obscure" shade aside, I agree with everything else you said. You are right that everyone gets inspiration. Since the fact that all we have to go on is the title, I think I just have a problem with anyone commending her for the title. I know she doesn't really write her songs and stuff, but the title has nothing to do with anything she thought of, is all I meant.

Just digitally delivered, so this will not be a pop single now but still listed under AllAccess Top 40 cool new music.
As announced in Roc Nation's delivery email, it will impact Rhythmic and Urban next week.

This song is straight Urban. I doubt Pop wil touch this all. Sounds almost like a street single.

The clean version of the track is under CNM according to AllAccess and, by default, it can be listened there.

I LOVE IT! Pop will not send this to the top so I'm glad it's apparently only being sento Rhythmic and Urban but I am SLAYED! :'(
The "better have my" parts are really catchy!

This was just played about 15 minutes ago on our local Top 40 station here in Boston "Kiss 108". It was introduced by Rihanna and then said to be being played at the top of every hour. I Like it but don't Love it yet. It's definitely more Urban but probably a little more suited to Top 40 than a song like "Pour It Up" (I guess)

This is so hot. It's definitely going to be one of the songs of Spring for me personally.
But why is she singing like the female Fetty Wap? Just like "Trap Queen" the vocal delivery is the component that leaves something to be desired, but unlike Fetty Wap we know Rihanna is now capable of better. Nbd though the song will still smash my current playlist all the same.

OMG I need the explicit. It's one of those songs where cussing works lol. Also, it sounds similar to "Big Daddy" from Onika and Meek Mill.

Her voice sounds so jarring this era. I just can't get over it.
About the song... um, I think it's marginally better than FFS. Now, given that I detest FFS, this doesn't say much... so, yeah.
On a positive note, this is so getting to #1 at urban.

It's fine. But I always felt with Rihanna most of her singles were just undeniable smashes no matter who sang them (not that she didn't sell the sh*t out of them with her swagger, tone etc.). But if a new artist tried to break out with Four Five Seconds or Bitch Better Have My Money? NAH.

Don't like this. The production is weak and her voice is rather messy. Hopefully the album will have some strong songs on it as I'm disappointed so far.

The turn up to Rihanna... verse is one of the hardest lines she's dropped in sometime.
It will murder.

LOL at this song-- I kinda like it. I like how she says "pay me what you owe me". It's catchy-ish.
I can see how this and FFS have a through-line, in that they both have a "don't f*ck with me, I'm Rihanna" attitude. I don't see this being a huge hit either, but it's interesting, and I think at this point Rihanna deserves to do music she really likes as opposed to cranking out sure-fire hits.
