Aaaahhhh!!! I knew it!
Please come slay America. It got crazy good airplay here (in SD) from December - March on two of three pop stations so hoping that translates to the rest of the country. But now I'm wondering if those two stations will play it again.

I'm very happy about this. I've never liked a Calvin song as much as this.

Easily the best Calvin Harris song since "Sweet Nothing."

Not the best choice though, huge flop in the UK.

YAAAS FINALLY! Plus it's a Calvin song that doesn't sound the exact same as every other Calvin song.

The acclaim :'(
Anyway, I guess this was the best choice to be released in the US, despite of its performance in the UK. Also, I think this will be the last single from him in the States if it follows the pattern of 18 Months, where there were only two singles post the release of the album there and three overseas. Having said that, I'm wondering which one will be next outside the US though~

Big fan of this. Glad this is getting a push over here. There's not much left after this (neither Faith nor Together would hit the top 10), but he could try for a 5th with this one as well. For some reason, I think he's going to try to get a soundtrack hit this summer. With his raised profile, it's a perfect time. If the Entourage movie was coming out a bit later, that would have been a good possibility.

Juan any news on an adds date?
As for what's next overseas, I'd love for it to be "Love Now" and still think maybe "Dollar Signs".

As much as I like the song I think its release as a single is largely irrelevant. In addition to "Pray to God" flopping in the UK, Calvin's singles this era are experiencing residual levels of success with "Outside" really struggling in sales and streaming. I can see "Pray to Good" going top 30 at pop & peaking somewhere in the 60's on the Hot 100 but anything beyond that is strictly bonus. Pretty sure this will be the last US single of this era too but that's okay.

Despite this underperforming overseas, I'm still optimistic about its chances here. This is one of his bests since "Sweet Nothing", so I still think it has a shot.

Regarding its possible US performance, I agree with Adam. I want to be optimistic as well, but as long as "Pray to God" does something similar to "Thinking About You" did two years ago, with the exception that it actually reaches the Top 20 on the CHR/Pop format, it would reach my expectations. Also, I think Columbia doesn't have anything to lose at this point, so it would be great if they send the Calvin Harris vs. Mike Pickering remix too. Juan any news on an adds date? Not yet, but I guess it could be up in the following days in AllAccess and/or FMQB or in the upcoming Columbia's promo newsletter.

I'm optimistic if only because of how well-received it was in LA/SD when they were deciding to play it over "Outside" for a few months. I'm hoping that was a sign that it clicked with people. I too would be ok with a top 20 peak but it deserves so much more. Of course, so did "Thinking About You"...

Well the odds are in its favor for being a top ten on CHR. Calvin has only missed once out of eight releases.

I hope they havn't traded in thier indie alt rock sound for this "every song sounds the same" EDM style?
