Its great to see this @ #1 on top 40 radio...BUT I gotta be honest here: I'm getting burned out on it and unfortunately because of that It's not my favorite on the radio anymore. However, as a #Swiftie I wish and hope nothing but the BEST for her in this and the rest of her eras to come. <3
EDIT- However I will keep the gif that is on my profile (the gif that you see on my miniprofile in other words.)

HUGE no to a Calvin remix. The production of "Wildest Dreams" is one of the best parts about it (it's made from Taylor's heartbeat), and the song would not benefit from an EDM backdrop, or Calvin's vocals if you wanna go there.

If Calvin is remixing anything, then do 'New Romantics'. I could oddly see that working. Otherwise I'm kind of wary of the idea if only because this single is already a remix. At the very least, she shouldn't release two new mixes back to back. It doesn't show confidence in the record itself.
For the love of God though, I really hope she keeps 'Out of the Woods' locked up. It's dryer than dirt.

I've been thinking for a while now that "Wildest Dreams" would work very well as a dance remix. However, if they do that, I think it should only be an additional version as opposed to the single version. The original is too good on its own not to be released as the main single.

A "dance remix" for Wildest Dreams would defeat the whole purpose of releasing that one particular track to begin with. Not to mention, another "remix" would just seem cheap. There are plenty of songs on the album ready to be sent for Pop ads as they are. Personally, I'm hoping they go with New Romantics for late summer and Out Of The Woods for fall. OOTW would be the perfect last push the album needs for the Grammy voting season.

As long as the label is willing to dish out the money for a topnotch music video, paired with a VMA performance, I think there are quite a few potential smash singles left. Plus Taylor will have streaming on her side again...

I think that the Bad Blood remix will turn out to be a one time thing. It worked out because she had a history with Kendrick, and doing a one time cameo video was a cute idea. However, Taylor's team has made it clear with Style that they don't plan on doing Katy Perry style promotion to milk chart positions. That's not a jab at Katy, but Taylor's brand is fundamentally different. Taylor gets a lot of credit for song writing and artistic credibility. She has always valued long-term image and relationships with fans over boosting a single song's chart position by a couple of places. I don't see any dance remixes or rent-a-rapper features in her future.

I thought the consensus was that Taylor was focusing on her mother's illness while Style was charting... and when have dance remixes been considered a bad thing?! It freshens things up deep into an album era.

It freshens things up deep into an album era. I don't recall that being a consensus. I mean, I'm sure it was a factor, but I'm still convinced she's attempting to elevate her personal stature - and sell the value of her tour - by adhering to an "I don't perform for free*" approach. She opted not to perform at the Grammys, she didn't perform at the ACMs, she didn't perform at the Billboards, she didn't perform during her last Tonight Show visit, she isn't doing the TODAY Show or GMA concert series and she blocked that Rock in Rio stream. Essentially, it seems she wants to send the message that a Taylor Swift performance is a big deal. That doesn't mean she'll never do US TV appearances or awards shows, but I'd be surprised if she does a full slate of TV promo for any upcoming single. *Since TV performers get paid a nominal fee and viewers have to pay for cable, I know it's not literally "for free."*

I thought the consensus was that Taylor was focusing on her mother's illness while Style was charting... and when have dance remixes been considered a bad thing?! It freshens things up deep into an album era. In general, I think that pop remixes are considered artistic devaluation by music fanatics and casual listeners alike. This is because the remixes are usually low quality, with the sole purpose of appealing to pop radio or iTunes. Summertime Sadness and the majority of Katy Perry's remixes come to mind. Like I said, it isn't a jab at Katy. I only threw her name in there because there seems to be this opinion that Taylor is gunning for a Teenage Dream 2.0 era, when I don't think this is the case. If Taylor gets a streak of #1's, I'm sure she'll take it. But I don't think she will be throwing in Calvin Harris remixes, rent-a-rapper features, and random reworks of her songs. A Bad Blood remix made sense because she had a reason to be collaborating with Kendrick and his verses were good. Of course, she wasn't blind to the commercial advantage the remix provided, but I doubt she would have released it if it wasn't up to par. I don't think she wants to cater to pop radio for the sake of catering to pop radio. She wants to do it on her own terms.

5. Wildest Dreams with a remix to get more airplay like Bad Blood is doing with the original / remix. And agreed it has to be Calvin lol 6. FINALLY give everyone Out of the Woods, I didn't want it as a single earlier in the era but now I can't imagine it not being. 7. Close the era with New Romantics! If it doesn't hit number 1, eh who cares? Agreed completely with this. I used to think HYGTG should be a single, but as someone mentioned it doesn't really have that punch or edge the others do. It's still catchy, but probably a bit too quaint for the huge singles of this era.

I'm hearing this mix with Kendrick Lamar a lot now plus the Tay-Tay only version. Thank God I love both of them.

In kworb.net/axcradio/ says that Bad Blood has now the highest peak of all the Top 100 Pop Songs in spins (21388), surpasing Uptown Funk (21237). Still not the highest peak of audience on pop (correct me if it isn't correct)

This has a positive bullet (+24) on Pop again. Now 219 And now this is #10 in Rhythmic

As Clauss mentioned above, the audio for the rapless version of "Bad Blood" was uploaded on Republic Playbook's website on the Hot AC part (I can't confirm this, but looks like that version is played by the Hot AC radio stations instead of the Kendrick Lamar's one) and you could listen to it here.

Is this the longest Pop #1 since Uptown Funk? Close, but not quite there yet. Uptown Funk had 6 weeks, and this has 5. This upcoming Sunday will be fairly close though, Cheerleader is 456 spins away from Bad Blood as of today and out gained Bad Blood by 455 spins. At this rate, Taylor would only beat OMI tomorrow by 1 spin.
