- With "Don't" dropping out of the Top 40 this week, "Jealous" has the current longest stint on AT40.

Some interesting choices for extras, including a Ne-Yo top 10 hit from early 2009 that I've rarely heard since, and a Bruno Mars feature ("Lighters") as a 2 for 1 which I also haven't heard much of since its chart run, though it's a bigger and more recent hit than "Miss Independent". "Break Your Heart" is also good, and not overplayed like that other Taio Cruz #1 (if you're reading this you know what I'm talking about). However, there's too many extras bunched up in the late 1st/early 2nd hours.

Fifth Harmony's debut makes them, according to Ryan last week, the most successful "girl group" of the decade, though that's probably mostly testimony to the dearth of such groups lately given their unspectacular chart record to date (less than two years of charting, with nothing higher that #22 so far.) A lot less seniority on the chart given that all four droppers were on for over 20 weeks; "Waves" falls right off after that weird 36-30 bounceback last week (was there some sort of mistake?) And Maroon 5 make their eighth trip to the top and their sixth in less than four years, during which their only two misses almost got there as well, reaching #2 and 3.

Really good chart this week. I thought Taylor would have gotten #1 for one more week before Maroon 5 took over.

Not to mention this about every week, but "Lighters" is another Two-For-One that they played already once how many months ago.

AT40 has been doing some interesting things, lately. "Thinking Out Loud" got to #1 a week early. "Sugar" managed to pull the same trick, this week.. Not complaining, though. It makes this chart feel a little bit fresher.

This chart seems a little messed up this week. "Uptown Funk" is now at #6 when it should've been at #4 again, perhaps just for its upcoming seniority. Also weird that it's below "Time Of Our Lives", which moves back to #4.

"Earned It" and "Want To Want Me" are tied for the biggest jump again.

Is AT40 going to play a random extra during the first segment of the first hour every week now? "Miss Independent" would've been a good choice for Ne-Yo as the 2-For-1.

After the extra was "Ghost", a song that should've left this week. It's a great song, but really.

Leading in to #1, Ryan said that Maroon 5 are, now, in fourth place on the list of groups that have scored the most #1s (having, now, overtaken The Bee Gees). The only groups still ahead of them are The Rolling Stones, The Supremes, and The Beatles.

AT40 goes to Radio & Records/Mediabase for any chart history referring to 1973 and after. With that logic, the Bee Gees have seven #1 hits (on R&R, "You Should Be Dancing" and "Love You Inside Out" - both Billboard #1 songs - peaked at #2 and #3 respectively so they are no longer recognized as #1 hits). The #1 chart info for all other acts involved (Beatles, Supremes, Stones and Maroon 5) are accurate.

All the droppers have a one-word title, but there are many such songs still on the chart.
The droppers were also old: greater than 20 weeks, and the chart sounds somewhat "fresh". As I've
said previously, Heartbeat Song sounds too much like Jimmy Eat World's The Middle, and I'm not surprised
that it's already stalling out. Ryan did interview Justin Bieber who said that he's "human".
What a ridiculous bunch up of extras as mkarns pointed out. If someone had never heard the show before
and tuned in right after #31 they might have heard 4 extras, one commercial set, and oh yeah ... one countdown song!
New trend for the week- "Knowing": You Know You Like It, She Knows, I Want You To Know, and Who Knew.
