Funny story. Pipa and I listened to their 1997 album, Old Friends from Young Years earlier today. It was the biggest piece of crap I may have ever listened to Anyways, this song is pretty decent, the verse vocals remind me of Mike Shinoda. This is way better than "Face Everything And Rise", but it could seriously do without Maria Brink.

The only song I LOVED from their new album. Better be the next single.

I like this decision because this song stands out from the rest of the album. To me, a lot of it sounded very similar and generic.

American idiot I love the way your short responses seem to contradict each other from one line to another, cuz I know exactly what you mean, but I couldn't help a small chuckle creep out when I read that. Funny in a subtle way.

American idiot I love the way your short responses seem to contradict each other from one line to another, cuz I know exactly what you mean, but I couldn't help a small chuckle creep out when I read that. Funny in a subtle way. In general, I tend to write A LOT when in relation to something. You should see me discuss hockey as I'll write ten paragraphs when comparing two players for example. However, I've noticed on here I either write one small sentence or ten paragraphs. I have a contradicting brain I guess haha. Papa Roach is overall one of my Top 20 favorite bands I'd say and I think while the album isn't their best, it's overall not bad. It just seems to me to not have a ton of variety on it. This song has something different than the rest as it featured Maria Brink and some rapping. I think it's a good choice because 5-10 years from now when I think of the singles from this current album, I want to remember easily which ones they were. Too many bands choose very similar sounding songs as singles which to me give fans less of a chance to check out their material.

This is my favorite song from the album, and the only one that really stuck out to me. Perfect choice for 2nd single.

I think it could be even bigger hit than FEAR was. Great song!

I didn't know this would get such a positive response, lol. This is actually one of my least favorites off the album. I'd have gone with "Skeletons", "Broken As Me", or "War Over Me" over this.

Well, it's something different, so that automatically makes it a good choice.

24 Active adds this week. Well damn. Looks like "Sex Metal Barbie" will have to take a backseat to this one.

I think it's time for someone to make one of those promises to eat his own shoes or (enter prefered piece of clothing) if this goes top 10 on Active. Any takers?

The chorus is too strong for this jot to go top 10 at least. I expect this go top 5 with such a strong chorus, even though the rapped verses are pretty douchey lol.
Truth be told, I would prefer to see "Sex Metal Barbie" having these big gains.

The funny thing is that if you look at the top 40 youtube Active countdown ; you'd think this song was epic, but all you get is the chorus.

^I wasn't aware of that YouTube countdown. Where can I view it?
And I have to admit I can overlook the verses because of the chorus, lol. I just really wish this was any other band featuring Maria Brink. Papa Roach, to me at least, have been putting out crappy music on a regular basis since 2010.
