This is devastating. Praying for Ari and the victims and families of everyone effected by this horrible attack. God have mercy. I wish Mariah would reach out to her, she doesn't have to but it would be nice.

I found Katy, Nicki, and Christina's messages to her touching.

It's not so much that, it would just be nice for her to acknowledge her and offer love, especially in such a hard time, rather than acting as if she doesn't exist.

Mariah rarely publicly comments on events like this. Given how devastating this attack was, the last thing I think any of us should be focused on is which celebs reached out to Ariana and which didn't.

Who's to say she hasn't? There's more ways to communicate rather than a public medium like social media. I always find it odd when people comment on what celebrities say or how they say it during tragedies like this, as if they owe it to us as viewers of pop star fan culture.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around this, so I can't even imagine how Ariana is coping at all.
But those people were there to see her and only her. For those who died, their last memory was going to see Ariana, one of their favorite singers, and having a great time. Even for those who survived, they're not going to blame Ariana for what happened afterward. Ari's concert wasn't targeted because she brings people misery, but because she brings people joy, and that's so, so important to remember as the people who were there try to move on from this.
It's cruel and unfair that so many young people weren't able to live a full life because of something so senseless, but they spent the end of their lives wrapped up in happiness, specifically because of Ariana. So I hold on to the hope that Ariana realizes this and takes all the time she needs to heal emotionally so she can return to performing when she is ready, to prove that no one can ever take that away from her or her fans.
That's the only way I've been able to take something positive from this.

I'm currently on a marathon of Ariana performances. Honestly, who wouldn't want to see her live? It could have seriously been me or anyone else in that attack...

I listened to the Dangerous Woman album last night (I had bought it a while ago) and her voice is so angelic and beautiful. I always liked her music that she released but I really got a taste of her vocals when I got her 3rd album.
I don't know how Ariana can go on, like ever. How can you relax in any future arena tour? The post traumatic stress is going to be unbearable. I hope she can go on and do another tour in the future.
I do think it's the right decision to cancel the future scheduled shows. I really feel terrible for Ariana, she is going to have guilt over this forever. But she shouldn't, obviously but it's tough.
I know Ariana gets a bad rep but I do think she's a sweet person deep down and does love her fans a lot. I don't know what else to say. :(

And Mariah just acknowledged the incident. She did NOT single Ariana out. Her statement covers EVERYONE affected which would INCLUDE Ariana Grande. Carry on.

She's being dragged by bitter fans for not mentioning Ariana's name. Omg..people died!

Stan culture is gross.
I couldn't imagine the level of anxiety that she'll undoubtedly experience every time she gets on stage now.

And not so ironically takes attention away from the very tragedy that they think the celebrity they're dragging should have spoken on. Stan logic.

She's being dragged by bitter fans for not mentioning Ariana's name. Omg..people died! OMFG. People are horrible. Half the other stars that posted didn't mention ARIANA either. So why are they dragging Mariah and making this about what she didn't do. People lost their lives. I fucking swear...

Yeah it's awful. But that article also mentioned Taylor lent Ari one of her two private jets. Fake

Wow that is really generous of Ariana to pay for the funerals. I'm not sure many artists would do that honestly. She has a kind heart.
I feel horrible looking at those pictures of Ariana coming off the plane. Poor woman will be scarred for life along with the survivors of the attack. I saw some of the photos of the victims and I felt sick thinking they are gone now. I'm just listening to Ariana's music tonight.

That is very noble of Ariana to pay for the victims' funerals even though she didn't do anything to be at fault. I have a newfound respect for Ariana and I hope that over time she can mentally and emotionally heal.

Noble act indeed. Thinking about it though, the thought of paying for your own fans' funerals must be mentally devastating for her. No one should go through this.

I don't know why this has hit me harder than other terrorist attacks in the last few years. I don't know why but this just feels so much more real to me. I think it's just because a pop concert is supposed to be such escapism from real world issues. How much an act like this specifically is targeting children/young women/queer people. I feel so terrible for Ariana. I just can't imagine how awful this would feel, knowing everyone was at a show to see you and then lose their lives/are injured/traumatized. I'm rooting for her so hard now, I hope gets all the privacy and love she needs right now. Just devastating.

The saddest reason is that young and innocent people including children were targetted. But this also shocked me because it feels like everything evil and detestable in the world has crawled into something I would consider a comfort zone. Music industry has become the only thing that helps me not to think about politics and forget about horrible current events and horrible people in power even for a brief moment. And now suddenly ISIS claims responsibility, politicians are starting to exploit the tragedy... It feels so wrong, like the two completely separate worlds for me have collided. "Suicide bombing" and "ISIS" should not be used in the same sentence as "Ariana Grande". Like the happiness and escape from world problems suddenly clashed with dark and f**ked up reality.

^ I just feel so close to this attack - much more than others, it's just so frightening to know that there's no place you're save
Also so kind of her to pay funerals, I hope she gets well soon!
(On another note: She will write an amazing song out of this I suppose)
