The employee in question clearly wasn't of American descent but that's a cute spin. SMH.....What exactly does someone of American descent look like given the fact that virtually every group is represented in the USA and has historically been a melting pot from the beginning? That wasn't my point. My point was I don't think her American comment had to do with the woman behind the counter for the simple fact that, if she was trying to throw out an already nationalist insult at the employee, I kind of doubt she'd go with "American" if she's as ignorant as y'all are painting her right now. EDIT: re-read that and yeah, my original comment was a very poor choice of words.

I was responding to the poster who implied the American comment was somehow her "being rude" to the employee and how painful it was to watch, lol. I'm not contesting that she acted poorly, but this is such a stupidly minor offense that I'm not sure I understand the public outcry. I'm fairly certain everyone posting in this thread (well, everyone who's fun at parties at least) has done something as bad or worse than what she's done here. I guess my point is that everyone just needs to chill, lol.

ew..please tell me she didn't say that. She wrote an essay on how donut shops represent what she hates about American culture and that we've allowed gluttony to consume our culture, basically. She needs a better spin doctor....her bs excuse that she was making a obesity commentary is so retarded....(1) why are you buying $5 of donuts then? (2) can we address the food tampering and what that has to do with obesity?

People have been charged for doing things like that. Would you think it is fun if you found out a waiter spit in your food? I guess by your logic that would just mean an invitation to your latest party!

However in the public situation it is not ok and further more in the state of California you can be charged with even battery for it. If you do not believe me look it up :)

I hate the fact the media is focused on that and not her disrespectful behavior to a small business and a teenage girl working behind a counter to make a dime. It's DISGUSTING. On another note, she didn't just lick a donut. She clearly spit on it. If this was a hidden camera with a video of the employee doing that, which we have seen time and again virally at various fast food companies, people would be pissed and law would come into play. To be honest, I WOULD bring the law into play w this. May teach her a lesson but probably not.

All I said was that I personally, with my own opinion, do not give a f**k that she allegedly licked a doughnut and gave my reasons. I do not know how to be more explicit than that or why my opinion on the matter concerns you as much as it does. Yeah, I didn't actually say any of this at all, but to answer your question most parties I go to involve some exchange of salvia so that's kind of the same thing I guess. Dude come on. You clearly said that most people that have taken issue with the food tampering have done it themselves! The only reason I keep responding is you keep saying you didn't say it but then say it again LOL

Why are people acting like she was going full face-in-the-place on these baked goods? It literally looks like the tip of her tongue brushed the furthest edge of 2 random doughnuts. You'd think she was tonguing down a baker's dozen the way this story is being presented.
It's definitely gross and immature and lowkey crazy but...does anyone really care? Is the tip of some Mariah impersonator's tongue brushing a doughnut THAT troubling for all of you?

So at what point is their too much tongue for it to be a big deal for you? lol Also apparently the owner noticed spitting as well. The principle is that why in the hell would a grown woman on purpose put her damn mouth on what will be someone else food? I bet she would be the first one outraged if it were reverse.

I could care less about the American comment....she could have been joking or whatever it does not matter as it is just words....however, the tampering with the food is completely unacceptable behavior for anyone over 5yo!!! Her general attitude and display of behavior was that of a spoiled entitled child and she owes the donut shop owner a massive apology along with the customers who purchased the donuts she tampered with.If those employees actually left those donuts out to be purchased after someone came in and slobbered all over them, they owe as much of an apology to the public as Ariana does. No restaurant with a health code above 85 would let other people purchase those. In fact, they should have made Ariana purchase the donuts as soon as she licked them (whether or not she wanted them, the restaurant shouldn't have to take the loss for her absurd stunt), and quite possibly she did pay for them later and we just don't see that in the video. The more I think about this, the more I feel like she's breaking down to be honest. Kunt put his money on this album being her Slave 4 U moment at the beginning of the thread, but I'm getting more pre-Blackout(/Glitter/Amanda Bynes-lite) teas from her. Thing is, she can calm down enough to work on her music, perform, promote, etc.;, but let out into the wild on her own, she spazzes out. It feels so early in her career for that, but then I remember she spent all that time with Nick so maybe she really is just burnt out, or maybe she's not coping well with the transition from child star to adult human being. I dunno, but whatever it is I think we should be less offended and more concerned...if it was just this event in isolation I don't think I'd be thinking this way, but this + her supposed antics from last year aren't the behavior of someone who is in good shape mentally or emotionally. I also don't think it helps that she's a Scooter Braun pet - he himself is an adult brat and he's probably encouraging these kind of antics for the sake of publicity while asking Carly Rae and Tori "Now why won't you do something like that? Look at all the press Ariana is getting!" smh All that aside, even if this was just something to take at face value, I wouldn't be "offended." That's much too strong a reaction to attach to what basically amounts to a dumb (albeit still pretty strange) college coed antic. Or put another way, I attend a PWI and if I let something this silly offend me I literally would not be able to function after a week on campus. This would get an eye roll from me as I politely waited another ten minutes for a fresh batch of donuts to come out of the oven. I wouldn't be surprised if she were high and/or drunk at the time, but of course she can't offer that as an excuse because then she'll just be exchanging one controversy for another.

The problem is that this was not a private frat party etc...it was a public business and food tampering is a crime and people have been convicted of battery for it....people do not go to public businesses expecting their food to have been licked and spit on. If it was ok we would not have food health codes.
Obviously the business did not catch her doing it until after the fact because they saw it on the camera feed. Did she murder someone ? No, but anyone grown person who would do that clearly lacks some general respect to others around them. She was at a public business not a dorm room or a private party!
Im officially done and now craving a damn donut so thanks!

Anyway RE: her mental health, I dunno if I've ever noticed her do anything that seemed bizarre enough to indicate that she's on the verge. I think it's just her general upbringing and personality. I mean, look at Frankie's delusional ass. If anything, she's a bit childish.

I think I might be triple posting but oh well. You keep going in circles and frankly make no sense....you have said that "it is not a big deal for someone to tamper with food"...you also state it is the norm for parties you go to. Im stating that it blows me away that anyone can think that food tampering which can equal a legal charge is not a big deal! You clearly said that most people that have taken issue with the food tampering have done it themselves! The only reason I keep responding is you keep saying you didn't say it but then say it again LOL Um, no? I'm with him, you can't point out the comment where he said that anyone complaining about this has tampered with food. This is what he said: "I'm fairly certain everyone posting in this thread (well, everyone who's fun at parties at least) has done something as bad or worse than what she's done here." "As bad or worse than what she's done here" =/= "everyone here has licked a donut a time or two." He's basically saying anyone who's ever gone out and gotten drunk before has probably done something equally stupid, not literally this exact same stupid thing that Ariana just did. Kunt then said, "...most parties I go to involve some exchange of salvia [sic] so that's kind of the same thing I guess." Clearly he is referring to kissing (swapping spit, as some might say) and if that hadn't gone right over your head you would have realized he was basically making a pun out of Ariana putting her saliva all over those doughnuts. I don't necessarily agree with Kunt (see above post: I think she might have more serious problems), but you're doing the most to make his comments say something that they didn't actually say. I will grant that overall it seems that he just doesn't think this situation by itself is as serious as you do - and frankly I don't either, except to wonder why the doughnuts weren't behind a glass case in the first place - but at no point did he say "food tampering is not a big deal. I do it all the time and I am sure you all have too!"

I think we can all agree Ariana's the 'stable' one of those two...Frankie probably would have tried to fart on them or something.

Ugh this is being blown way out of proportion. What she did to the doughnut is disgusting and of course she should be 'punished' for it, as anyone else would. She should be made ACTUALLY apologize. Not a PR tweeted image, an actual apology directed to the shop and its customers in video or some other way. But everyone saying they're "offended".. people like having a reason to be offended by something. A lot of people hate a lot of countries (e.g. "God hates Ireland", the gay enabler).
The apology is stupid too, she went way off point.

The America-comments are harmless to me, but the spitting (which you can clearly see at 01:52) is just vile.
