That Album Mini Mix isn't available on Spotify US it seems?
I'm so curious about the tracks with The Weeknd and Miguel. Honestly, if they're allowed to release The Weeknd track, they just should! (Without even hearing it).

I'm impressed by the album sampler. It's weird-- none of the five or so songs we've heard so far have done a lot for me, but combined it sounds like a really strong set. The Miguel track and the Jordan Rakei (who?) are my most anticipated based on clips. The Weeknd's and Lorde's contributions both sound like potential hits with proper promo.

I just got instantly wet at seeing Miguel on that tracklist. Seriously. I will at least check out his song on the album...oh and Lorde and The Weeknd's too!

Going through the iTunes snippets for the deluxe, Magnets is probably the standout along with Afterthought for me. Nocturnal gets a special mention too, but with an asterisk for now because there better be a good reason for it being that long.
The album 'sounds' nice (the production on the Miguel track is just lush), but it seems so unexciting, which is the exact opposite of Settle, which was bursting left and right whether it was uptempo or down.
It's not the greatest disappointment ever (it would take a true tour de force of pointless crap to outdo my 20/20 Experience), and I'll reserve finalizing my opinion until I've heard the full thing a few times, but it seems that all the best parts of their debut were sacrificed to focus on songwriting that is lower B-level at best far more often than not.

They premiered "Echoes" on Nick Grimshaw's BBC Radio 1 breakfast show today and they called it as 'the most garagey song on the album'. It can be listened to on the link above or here.

An album trailer was uploaded on Disclosure's YouTube channel and it includes snippets of "Holding On", "Omen", "Nocturnals" and "Magnets".
If it's considered that they already shot four music videos from Caracal and three of them have been unveiled ("Holding On", "Omen" and "Jaded"), it's likely the next one (and follow-up single) will be either The Weeknd or Lorde track because of the album trailer above. However, there's a shot of Lorde in that trailer, so looks like this will be released next.

So far my favorites are: Omen Hour Glass Magnets Good Intentions Masterpiece Molecules Echoes
It's just crazy that with more "mainstream" acts attached this album doesn't hold a single candle to their debut album. What Sinead Harnett, Edward Macfarlane, fetus Sam Smith, AlunaGeorge, and London Grammar contributed to that album was perfection. Just perfect and there is no other word for what they created. A lot of this seems like a re-tread of the first album and side collaborations that happened after Settle. They just seem to be coasting at this point.

None of the preview songs impressed me, but the album as a whole is pretty good. Better than I expected. There's no Latch or White Noise here but I wasn't expecting that.

So in the end they put out an excellent album. Very cohesive and such a nice vibe from start to finish. So many of the one off tracks that preceded this are underwhelming on their own, but blend well here (and I still think they're on the weaker end of the set). I'm obsessed with "Magnets," "Good Intentions," "Masterpiece," and especially "Afterthought." What a beautiful track.

Caracal definitely doesn't have the same instant wow factor as Settle, but perhaps it's a grower, there are definitely still some jams, my favourite has to be Jaded, followed by Holding On, Bang That and Magnets

One thing I'll say though is that Howard's singing has definitely improved. I wouldn't mind him singing on more tracks in the future. I wish Jaded's lyrics weren't so cringeworthy at times because it's very well sung.

No surprise here, I guess, but it debuts atop in the UK, becoming their second #1 there. From the Official Charts: They said the following to them: "Can't believe it! So happy and thanks so much to all the people for supporting our music. It means the world and we can't wait to hopefully see you all at a show soon!"

"Holding On," "Willing and Able," and "Jaded" are on repeat for me. This doesn't have the same quality highlights that Settle did, but I think I enjoy this more overall.

Their debut had more songs that came super hard, but this album is better as a whole set. Jazzy, how do you feel about "Afterthought"? J/w.

I feel as though Disclosure followed all the steps that they are supposed to take with a follow up album. They've got all the right features, they have all the right melodies, they are up on all the latest trends. Even with all this, however, the music just sounds empty to me. The first album was cutting edge, and I could feel the passion that went into its creation. This album feels like it was made because making a follow-up album is the thing to do.
There is nothing wrong with this album, but it sounds like the watered down version of the original to me.

"Superego" takes the cake as my favorite song of the album as of now. "Echoes" (the chorus of this is actually kind of adorably annoying), "Afterthought", "Jaded", "Hourglass", "Willing & Able", "Moving Mountains", "Omen" and "Molecules" are the other highlights for me. There isn't really a bad song on here at all per se, but this lacks the sort of 1-2 punch that Settle gave me right out of the gate.

I'm a little disappointed with this effort. Not much has stood out nor intrigued me. I feel they played it safe this time around & was expecting a lot more from them.

I went to see them last night at their second show in San Fran. They did a really good job. Finally glad I got to experience a show from them.
