- Even though he is featured as one of the op extras, this is the first regular AT40 without Sam Smith since 3/1/2014. - You think Premiere would've waited for "Hey Mama" to crack the Top 10 before featuring "Bang Bang" as the Two-For-One? - "See You Again" is the third straight movie song to hit #1

In a very rare chart feat, See You Again hits #1 in the same month it debuted.

That's quite the drop off the countdown for Sam Smith. What's the biggest drop off the top 40 this year?

Expect to see big debuts for Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift next week. Of course, "Bad Blood" will debut higher than "This Summer's Gonna Hurt".

That's quite the drop off the countdown for Sam Smith. What's the biggest drop off the top 40 this year? #22 is, in fact, the biggest drop off of the year, so far. "Lay Me Down" is, now, in a three-way tie with "Trumpets" and "Heartbeat Song". That's a lot of extras packed in to the fourth hour. Not much chit-chat this week, I guess. And odd to see Ariana getting the Two For One treatment two weeks in a row. What in the world is "Riptide" still doing here? It would be around 80-something on the Mediabase "sans recurrent rule" chart. It's been clinging to this chart a couple weeks longer than it really had any right to. "Bad Blood" will, undoubtedly, debut next week. The all important question is, "How high?" #29 is, currently, the highest debut of the year, so far (now, a three-way tie between "You Know You Like It", "Where Are Ü Now", and "The Night Is Still Young"). I've got to see "Bad Blood" coming in close to the halfway mark at the bare minimum. Then again, I've already been burned once, this year as "See You Again" under-debuted, in my opinion.

I could have sworn that Bad Blood wasn't on the list to vote for the Buzz Song when i voted on Sunday... They must have added it in the next day. Also I believe they will be playing the version with Kendrick Lamar?

I could have sworn that Bad Blood wasn't on the list to vote for the Buzz Song when i voted on Sunday... They must have added it in the next day. Also I believe they will be playing the version with Kendrick Lamar? I looked at the Subway Buzz page Tuesday evening and "Bad Blood" wasn't there (the options were "Get Low", "The Night Is Still Young", and "Lean On"). At the earliest, "Bad Blood" knocked "Lean On" off the list Wednesday morning. How it could have, possibly, won is anyone's guess, since this week's show would, most certainly, have already been produced by that point. This isn't the first time they've made a "last minute" Subway Buzz switch. It makes one question the validity of the "votes".

Thirteen extras. That's got to be the all time record for extras. 24 percent of all records played are extras. That's one out of every four!

Do the votes even count for the Subway Fresh Buzz Song?

Also I believe they will be playing the version with Kendrick Lamar? I sincerely hope not. I heard it once and it was horrible. Rappers can ruin a completely good song. The biggest example would be Kanye West on "E.T." Kendrick isn't listed as a featured artist on Mediabase, so I've got my fingers crossed.

Kendrick isn't listed as a featured artist on Mediabase, so I've got my fingers crossed. I wonder if that's at least due in part to not everyone's playing the remix.

Kendrick makes the song. At least my CHR plays the superior remix version.

They played the album version of Bad Blood on the AT40 iHeart station.
I've heard the Kendrick version on one of my local stations and on the other "Adult" Top 40 station they play the original one.

At least for the Hot AC version of the show, the Subway Fresh Buzz song always seems to be the current song closest to the top 40 that hasn't been a breakout yet.

There seemed to be an issue with iheart radio looping on KIIS after #6 at40 played. With those loop, AT40 went straight to #2, skipping segments from #5-#3.

When AT40 played "This Summer's Gonna Hurt", they cut out mother and had a brief pause, and then heard "a ha". Sounded a little off to me. I don't know if any radio stations are doing this, or if this is just AT40 doing it.

I don't know why they would cut out mother? Ryan also mentioned See you again is the first song to reach no.1 in 5 weeks since Roar did it in 2013. There was a cold open to #40 and also Pitbull's new song was not introduced until after it played.

There was a cold open to #40 and also Pitbull's new song was not introduced until after it played. There are actually two versions of This Summer's Gonna Hurt on AllAccess, along with the instrumental. First, the clean version as found on iTunes: "This summer's gonna hurt like a mother, ah-ha; ah-ha." Then, there's the super clean version: "This summer's gonna hurt like a mama, ah-ha; ah-ha." I know KIIS-FM's playing that version, so why did they have to edit it for the AT40? P.S. That song's also on Radio Disney now... I wanna hear what that sounds like. But BACK TO AT40 NOW!!! Yeah, See You Again had a pretty fast run to #1. But could Bad Blood be faster? I don't know... Speaking of which, does Bad Blood feature or not feature Kendrick Lamar on AT40? I know KIIS-FM (a.k.a. AT40's flagship station) has been playing both, but I don't know which one they'll use. Hopefully they use the remix.

They used the Original one on the show this week without Kendrick, I'm gonna assume that's what they'll use once it enters the chart too?

I think we had 13 extras once before around the start of this year. Only 3 songs stayed put, and OctaHate is number 27 for the third week in a row. Uptown Funk! is impressive with 26 weeks on and still in the top 20. I'm surprised that Nothing Without Love and Don't Look Down are already dropping. Ryan said that in the past year, Rihanna was on the cover of 19 major magazines. More than anyone else. We got 2 sad summer songs as extras. Another song named Bad Blood was #1 forty years ago in October of 1975! www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTTVx--i3m0

Well this weeks options for the Buzz Song...
Lean On Ghost Town by Adam Lambert and...
American Oxygen by Rihanna which was the Buzz Song two weeks ago??
I don't think these votes matter for anything tbh.
