Lead single ("Get Better" was a buzz single) to his upcoming album, Positive Songs For Negative People, which is due out August 7th.

After one listen it didn't really click for me. I prefer "Get Better"

I enjoyed this as much as the other singles I've heard from him. Not sure why this was so underwhelming from some of the responses above.

I like this, but Get Better is a superior track imo. This is missing a little bit of edge that really pushed the buzz single over the top. Should do fine on AAA but probably won't replicate Recovery's Alt success.

It's not too bad. I like the guitar melodies. The vocals are sub-par. It's borderline material to me. I would probobly chart it if there wasn't so many other better songs out there?

I actually have the opposite reaction of a lot of people on this thread. I've never been a huge fan of Frank (albeit, I only know a couple of songs by him), but I like this quite a bit. Pretty good tune.

I'm starting to like this more. Not as much as Get Better, but I'm enjoying it now.
Looking at these lyrics, he's certainly delivering on the album title.

Remember when Frank was post-hardcore? It's all about folky Frank. He's got groove and that real 80s vibe. Download, check.

Looks like Interscope will be handling radio promotion for this. This is under the AAA section on Play IGA.

Keeping up with my whole post-hardcore theme, I've been listening to a lot of Million Dead recently, and I just realized how close Frank's career parallels that of Dallas Green's. Both started out as singers for post-hardcore bands before embarking on a more folkier solo career, and roughly around the same time too; Frank's solo debut was in 2007 while Dallas' was 2006.
Anyways, glad that promotion is happening for him and it'll be a matter of time before it goes to Alt. If it means waiting three months like every other AAA crossover before it has a chance to reach Top 10, that's ok

Interscope is pushing this on Alternative too as it's under PlayIGA there.

At least 64 spins on Alternative. Roughly needs 90 spins more to enter the top 50.

At least 86 spins on Alternative now, 47 spins more to enter the top 50. Will he get another charting hit there? Only time will tell.
