The debut single from actor John Travolta was released in April 1976 and peaked at #10 on the Hot 100, along with reaching #7 in Canada. It's hit biggest hit aside from the Grease singles.

This was the biggest of his three 1976-77 solo top 40 hits, and happened while he was starring on "Welcome Back, Kotter" during what was a fertile time for sitcoms on the pop chart; the show's theme song was a hit then, as were the themes for "Happy Days" and "Laverne and Shirley".
By 1978 his film career had of course exploded and his music career seemed to fall by the wayside, except of course for the "Grease" stuff.

episode just aired today with it . i really like the song . i prefer it to his songs in Grease.
