I really do love her voice. Hope this song can break through. It would be awesome to see Ashley get signed by Dot. I think her daddy raised her well.

She IS signed to Dot Records. www.savingcountrymusic.com/ready-to-write-her-own-story-an-interview-with-ashley-campbellBMLG just hasn't added her to their website yet because they are still working on the 'roll-out' plan for her. I don't know if this song will necessarily be included on Ashley's debut album...it could be that BMLG just decided to give radio something that they could play while Ashley continues working/recording in the studio. In any case, I'm excited to hear more from her. She has a great voice, and I really like this one.

Ashley has a great career ahead of her. Also I'm glad she plays something other than a guitar. I think it is great for an artist to be able to play the banjo.

Cover Art: From Music Row: It says it will be released to iTunes and radio on June 29th, but that likely means the single will be available by itself on June 29th (currently a track on the I'll Be Me album) and sent to radio on June 29th, with the add date still being July 6th.

This is a really strong song and I'm glad it's being given a chance as a single. It was easily one of my favorites from the "I'll Be Me" soundtrack, which by the way, is an extremely strong album in its own right. I'll probably only put it as an honorable mention on my list because it's not an actual new album but still it's a 10/10 from me.
Anyway, I know this will likely do nothing but I can at least call it one of my favorite singles this year :)

Dot Records just gave this a new impact date of November 9th, through Play Mpe.
The music video was shot four weeks ago.

Ouch! Only 13 adds on impact date. The competition of Brett, Chris Stapleton, FGL,Luke & Karen, took a lot of adds up so 13 adds I guess isn't awful but I am a little sad given how beautiful this song is.

If you're looking at HDD, then that number might be a station or two higher by this evening. It could very well end up being 13, though. I'm actually not surprised that this only pulled in 13-15 adds. The competition (like you mentioned) was rough and this song is just so drastically different than what is popular on mainstream country radio right now. Dot can still get this one to chart but I don't see this hitting the top 40.

Such a beautiful song! I absolutely love everything about this. The entire concept of the song is just so touching given the backstory for it, and the production on this is nothing short of amazing. Sadly looks like this single won't be doing much (as to be expected), but I'm looking forward to more from this girl regardless. She has certainly captured my attention with this great song.

Very touching song with great lyrics. Once I recognized who it was, it hit me pretty hard.

Getting very emotional hearing this song played on the radio. Especially since Radio Disney Country is playing it. Ashley is destined for success!

I heard this on The Highway's "On The Horizon" show this afternoon. It sounds great on the radio and the instrumentation is fantastic. Very touching song from Ashley's real life experience.

Just looking at the date when sabre14 made this thread. Only five and a half months later, it debuts on the airplay chart.

Just looking at the date when sabre14 made this thread. Only five and a half months later, it debuts on the airplay chart. That's because Dot Records gave it a new impact date of November 9th (sent to radio in October) as Ashley as been full-throttle with her radio tour over the past few weeks.

This song is absolutely stunning. I'm glad it was able to chart, but I really wish this could somehow become a big hit. Her vocals, the lyrics, the steel guitar...all of it just chills me, but in a good way, if that makes sense.
The first few seconds (with the steel guitar) really remind me of the first few seconds in Buddy Jewell's "Help Pour Out The Rain".

I hope radio makes this song a hit! I don't see why it wouldn't be a hit. She is a talented singer who also plays banjo. I think Country radio needs more artists who can play the banjo.

I don't see why it wouldn't be a hit. Have you been following the charts the past five years? She's new. She's a female. The song's traditional country with a sentimental, personal message. That doesn't normally equate to hit record in 2015.

Well you know you don't have to be sassy. Actually that is very untrue. Also there is no need to be negative. Maddie & Tae had a hit song with "Fly", it had a very personal message. Cannot believe how much negativity is actually on here. People are saying,"Oh this won't do well". If it's a good song with a good message, then I don't see why the hell it can't be a hit.

I wasn't being sassy. If my post came off as abrasive, then I apologize but I don't think my posting history should indicate that post meant to be "sassy." I'm not negative, nor are most here. I'm a realist. Ashley's song is not what usually works on 2015 radio. "Fly" was the beneficiary of "Girl In A Country Song's" massive success. Maddie & Tae's song got 45 adds on impact day, with 64 total stations. Ashley's song got 13 adds on impact day...I like this song quite a bit but it's "my opinion" that it won't do much on the singles charts.

If the industry operated that way then it would be a hell of a lot better, but the sad truth is that this is a business. Maddie and Tae defied odds, yes, but they also had momentum from a huge No. 1 single that sparked controversy (aka, publicity) for them. With Ashley, it's her very first single and the demographic that country radio panders...er...targets to just isn't interested in the story behind this song, sad as it may be. Honestly I'm surprised this even charted, and anything it does from now here is icing on the cake for me. I definitely don't think sabre was trying to be negative with his post. We're just trying to be realistic :)

Yes but I think you're wrong. People want something more in Country music and Ashley Campbell is definitely someone who can fill that void. This song could fail, but I won't be surprised if she comes out with something that becomes a huge hit, therefore showing that she can be successful.

This is pretty good. Giving me Kacey Musgraves vibes, which is always a good thing for me :)

Any chance this will rechart, or is it done?

Any chance this will rechart, or is it done? This one won't be doing anything more. "Remembering" has gotten less than 70 spins on Mediabase the past seven days and only has about 300k in total audience. A big supporter of the song (KSCS in Dallas) has dropped its spins to just 12 this week. This song looks finished.
