yeah. Time to check out some Melodic Black Metal. Did they drop the B.C. from their name? Anyway, this song is good. I like the whole stage persona. They take their business seriously.

I feel like this song would be better with a more suitable vocalist for this kind of sound. Otherwise, it's not too bad.

this is the most mellow form of metal i've heard since katatonia. pulling off something that's clearly metal and not rock, yet being so soft and mellow is quite an accomplishment.

Saw them live earlier today, except it was an all acoustic show with plentiful use of the kazoo. They did an autograph signing afterwards, but I wasn't willing to shell out $24 on the vinyl version of their album.

So yeah, this could go top 10 soon, with FFDP and The Vengeful One done. Killpop could die anytime too. But that depends on how long it can stay away from Halestorm, Disturbed (Light) and TDG.

Were there any other Swedish bands to go top 10?

The only Swedish artist that I can see that went Top 10 on any rock chart is The Hives, with "Hate to Say I Told You So". Another one that may have gone Top 10 on Mainstream Rock in the 80s is Roxette (I know they were pretty big and bands like Duran Duran could go Top 10 on that chart then), but I don't have a reliable database to check that. In Flames and Amaranthe both went Top 50 on Active this year, and they're both Swedish. In other news, I'm really loving this song now. It has an awesome guitar solo, and it's one of my favorites currently charting on Active.

Album is very solid. Every song (well, except the two interludes) had a killer guitar solo or riff. Every track was great, including this, Majesty and especially, He Is. That song NEEDS to be a single as that's one of the best songs of the year IMO. (though I'm pretty sure FTPTTP will be the next single) Even the interludes were beautifully done.

I agree the album is good. Especially the stand out song; "He Is". That one is Beautiful. Only thing is; that I'm sure he is not singing about GOD and that makes the beautiful melodies sound very contradictory.

Of course he's not singing about God, he's signing about Satan.

Anyways, just FYI, rhe band dropped the "B.C." from their name because they had to put it for copyright reasons and after those issues have been resolved, they dropped it from their name again (though they're still credited with it on iTunes and Spotify)

Top 5 on Active: 7 5 GHOST Cirice 1207 1145 62 3.077 I say this as someone who has grown to love this song more than any words can express: The fact that this actually went top 10, let alone top 5, baffles me in the best possible way. This song is rubbing shoulders with freaking Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin and Halestorm. This song. Wow.

From The Pinnacle To The Pit has to be single #2. It's just phenomenal. Actually the whole album is but in terms of radio friendliness FtPttP is the clear choice.

I really want He Is to be a single at some point. That song is beautiful. FtPttP is the one getting more hype (it got a video), so I wouldn't be surprised if that gets released next. My other choices are Majesty and Absolution.

I'm not so sure about this one. Daryl the Beryl I didn't mind "The Otherside", I just didn't wanna bump a recurrent's thread.

I knew that logo of theirs looked familiar. I saw these guys open for Avenged Sevenfold a few years back, and while I think most of A7X's associated touring acts generally have been shit (except the Deftones), Ghost was so ridiculously over the top that it was actually funny to me. I was glad that I got to see them. The fact that their album could go straight to #1 in Sweden reinforces my very high placement of the Scandinavian nations on my list of foreign countries I want to visit. Also it may have been 15 years since I've last looked at the Active Rock chart but it's so surprisingly awesome that this song is doing so well there.
