To be honest, I think it's time another pair or so hosted. It's irking seeing Brad and Carrie for the past ten years, don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of both but there are other people though Yeah, there are other people. Most other people suck. This is a no brainer. They should do this for at least 5 more years.

Normally I'm all for getting different hosts, and often times, the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" schtick generally gets pretty overdone in Hollywood, but with Carrie & Brad, it really is a no-brainer duo that very much deserve to host this shindig for as long as they'd like. They preserve the genre & its integrity well, their comedic timing is unparalleled by any of their peers, and they consistently make the CMAs look even better than just about any other music awards show out there, country or otherwise. The GRAMMYs struck gold this year by getting on the James Corden bandwagon and finally ditching LL Cool J, but if you were to take the hosts who literally do comedy/late night talk show comedy out of the "hosting duty" equation, no other hosts of any awards show can hold a candle to these two.
I feel like, with every passing year that the ACMs, CMTs, Billboard Music Awards, AMAs, etc. happen, everyone always comments, "Well, the host(s) were certainly no Brad Paisley and/or Carrie Underwood." They've made themselves into emcee staples.

I'm voting for Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley to host the C.M.A.s as long as they want. It's a winning combination!

She's always up to something... no clue what this could be. Maybe a Label welcome thing? I don't know why that'd be in Vegas, but just a thought...

Carrie and Brad should host for eternity. See what happened when the ACMs had to get new hosts, not pretty, after Reba left so did the class. Don't want that to happen again.

Whoever wrote that article either knows their shit, or is a super fan. The paragraph running through all of her success is so, so impressive to read. Makes me so proud to be a fan!

I'm fairly certain this title is on-hold for the next album. The Work ID on ASCAP is extremely new and I found the same title attached to Carrie at a different source. I'm thinking this was recently written and pitched to Carrie:
"Gold Rush" - (Hillary Lindsey and Jamie Moore)
I think this co-write may be new? It was registered alongside a bunch of new Kelsea Ballerini titles. However, it's possible the writer just got around to registering it.
"Biscuits & Gravy" - (Jessi Alexander, Gordie Sampson, Carrie Underwood)
And I have no idea when this was written, but I figured I'd share it anyway. I lean towards this one being for Blown Away or Storyteller though:
"Haunted" - (Chris DeStefano, David Hodges, Carrie Underwood)

...didn't a demo leak a number of years ago of Carrie singing "Gold Rush"?
Wait nvm that was "Sugar Rush." Yay, thanks, Typo!

Haunted intrigues me the most!!! I'll start praying now that it makes the album!!
After Carrie's tweet about working 9 to 5 for songwriting, are we able to start a new album thread?? Or is it still too early?

I'd prefer to have Typo manages the start of the thread properly though. So much easier to look for information when it's all orderly, and he's always been the Carrie fan super sleuth!

I think we'll end up getting a lead single come CMA time.

"The Fighter" should have sold Gold by this point, no?

"The Fighter" should have sold Gold by this point, no? Yep. 470k sales as of last week with strong streams, it's well over 500k units now. It's not even top 10 at radio yet so I bet they'll wait to certify it until it's ready for Platinum. Question: Does it cost a label money to have RIAA certify something? I feel like that reasoning is used a lot around forums for why something 'isn't certified yet' or a large grouping of records get certified at once.

I posted back many months ago that Carrie was putting songs on hold and was told by some of her fans that she wouldn't be doing that while still in the midst of the StoryTeller tour. Thank God this Era is over and we have something new to look forward to.

The whole Storyteller era was really so poorly handled. The album is great and her tour was successful and awesome, but they really screwed up in terms of singles, promotion, and music videos. "Church Bells" and "Dirty Laundry" were epic videos waiting to happen, and we got garbage. "Smoke Break" should have never been a single in the first place, let alone the lead single. God, I hope this new label gives her the justice she deserves.
