If Carrie does release a 5th single (and that's a big IF in my opinion), I'm not so sure it will be Choctaw. I definitely think it's a potential selection but that would be 3 singles in a row that Carrie didn't write. The only other singles Carrie hasn't written were "Blown Away", "I Told You So", "Just a Dream", and then the ones from her debut. Maybe she'll continue the pattern, but I also wouldn't be surprised at all if she released another co-write next (again IF there is a next single from this album. The only two I could see as contenders would be "What I Never Knew I Always Wanted" and unfortunately "Renegade Runaway".
We all know Carrie loves "Choctaw" so I'd throw that in as the 3rd option for the 5th single, but if I had to place a bet, I'd put my money on RR just because her team always messes up a streak of perfect single releases with the final single from the album (Play On and Blown Away).

Carrie is too basic to release "Choctaw", but I'd be pleasantly surprised if it were given a single release. If there is a fifth single, I'd predict "WINKIAW" or "RR" as well. I've always been team "Relapse" and "Mexico" but she's clearly not here for those two. "WINKIAW" would be fine, though. "RR" is trash.

Did Carrie do or give anything special for her tourmates?

Did Carrie do or give anything special for her tourmates? More recognition and exposure than they'd get otherwise.

That's par for the course with all big tours lol. Regarding a 5th single, I don't see it happening. I like the album, but I felt like this era was her most underwhelming by far, with the exception of the tour & ETOY nomination.

Calling it now. They're going to bring their joint tour back to the USA next year. Summer stadium shows? YES PLEASE. Wishful thinking, I know. But if TF blows up into a mega-hit (which it showed signs of doing last year), they'd be silly not to support it with a tour!

They also mentioned in the interview that Carrie will be on the show later on this week, too. Maybe she's going to be making the promo rounds? Saying goodbye to single #5 from ST then .. :( Sadly, this looks like it could be the case.

The era ended when she lost EOTY, for me at least. I figured a win would ignite some momentum... glad she's doing a tour with Keith and maybe 2017 will end up being bigger for Carrie than we all thought. Keith and Carrie are both with AEG, so a US tour together of some sort isn't out of the question. I know she has stated she'll start work on her next album, but Carrie is unpredictable in terms of her career. I don't even think she knows what she'll do next half the time.

Whether there is a 5th single or not, I am ok either way. With the end of the tour and not much momentum left on the album, it feels ok to put a full stop to the era after Dirty Laundry peaks, instead of dragging it longer. The Fighter will keep Carrie visible for a while.
Unless Sony takes a risk and release Relapse unexpectedly, I really don't think a 5th single will do much anyway. But knowing her label, they will likely pick a predictable, boring choice like Renegade Runaway, which, if that happens, I'd rather there be no 5th single!

Interesting the impressions we form about Carrie. Over the years I have come to the conclusion that Carrie's a planner and a work-a-holic. I think she knows exactly what she wants to do and does exactly what she wants to do, sometimes much to the chagrin of her fans expectations and what 'we' want or hope she will do. Perhaps this helps create the 'unpredictable' aspects of Carrie and her actions. She seems to have a good team of personal advisors and she really has not had a mis-step over the last 10-11 years of her career. For me unpredictable Carrie makes her all the more interesting.

Carrie gets a Grammy nod in Country Solo for "Church Bells" but is again snubbed in Country Album. What is the deal there? Country Solo is four females and then Keith Urban, so Urban likely has the edge.

Thank god, "Church Bells" got the nomination for Best Country Solo Vocal; she at least has a fighting chance. She's up against "Love Can Go to Hell" (Brandy Clark), "Vice", "My Church", and "Blue Ain't Your Color". No other noms. Carrie gets a Grammy nod in Country Solo for "Church Bells" but is again snubbed in Country Album. What is the deal there? Country Solo is four females and then Keith Urban, so Urban likely has the edge. Nope. Both Miranda Lambert and Eric Church were nominated in every Country category across the board in 2014, but Carrie still won Solo Vocal. Urban's presence elsewhere means nothing. Also, she's never gotten a nomination for Country Album before, and this year was a strong, competitive year. Not surprised that it didn't hold up. Be more concerned with Maren Morris and Miranda Lambert as competition this year. We already know Country Album is going to Sturgill Simpson since he also got into the all-genre Album of the Year category.

I don't know what your point has to do with my statement. I wasn't talking about the other categories at all. I was suggesting the females could split the vote, allowing Urban to win. Tell that to Shania Twain and Taylor Swift. I mean, I agree Simpson is the favorite as of now, but there are multiple examples of the AOTY nominee losing Country Album to an album not up for AOTY (Shania Twain losing to Dixie Chicks, Taylor Swift losing to Kacey Musgraves).

Great points about AOTY, and while I agree with you, I think there is a huge difference in those two cases. Taylor and Shania were crossing over like crazy. So while they got both noms, I could see many people not voting for them in the country category because it wasn't country enough or whatever. However, with Sturgill, I don't see that at all, haha. But again, you're 100% right. There are SO many factors that could come into play.

I think the main competition for Country Solo is Maren. Miranda has only won Country Solo once, back when The House That Built Me was THE song, so I think Carrie definitely has the edge over Miranda here.

Okay well first, your statement hardly clarified that beyond "it's four girls and a guy." Literally, suggesting "four women split a vote, leaving room for the one dude to win?" What? No. Voters aren't voting on which vagina is the most worthy, and they're not all going to cancel each other out because they all just couldn't agree on one. I think it'll be a tough year for Carrie to win, but it won't be because of split-voting due to...gender. *digressing b/c it's 7am and I'm done*

Bummer.
I was so confident for Country Album. Well, at least she got Country Solo slot. Really really wish she would win this. If she doesn't, will this era be the first to not win a single Grammy for any category...?

I know the Grammys have a better history in that regard than the CMAs and ACMs, but I don't see where it's out of the realm of the possibility to think a country category where there is only 1 male nominated might favor the male.

That, but also her not being in Country Album means she can't win it, which means she could potentially submit something from Storyteller next year and win then. "Dirty Laundry" wasn't submitted this year, right? So, it could be submitted next year. If by some chance there's a fifth single, it could be submitted as well.
