She joined David Crowder for a performance too, starting at the 3:20 mark:

I'm down with it... I need a Christian album, Christmas album, and Classic Country album from Carrie. I think we're going to get one more studio album/tour from Carrie and then I think we'll start to see her do projects like the ones I listed above.

I have a strong feeling that a Christmas album will come at the end of this year.

Wtf? Random as all hell. It's official, Carrie DOES NOT know what "time off" means... lol. Girl is home for like a week and she's already doing random ass things to keep busy.

There is probably some sort of connection that we are not aware of yet. She's hardly ever done random appearances in recent years.
Perhaps her next side project might even be tv/movie related. Is that Two Black Cadillacs mini movie/series still happening, btw? Haven't heard any update about that since it was announced a long while ago.

The GG love 'stars' and isn't Carrie a previous nominee in one of those categories? Not random to me.

Award shows don't just ask for random former nominees to come present at their shows, especially when it's the Golden Globes and, of their 20-30 categories, and grand total of 2 are music-oriented.

Could possibly have something to do with the concert DVD? Maybe they'll announce/plug that? Not sure how that'd be relevant to the GGs, but it crossed my mind.

How much did BA Tour gross?
Also, do country stars generally have cheaper ticket prices? I noticed the prices for the pop stars are almost double!

Yes, country artists generally have lower ticket prices. If I had to guess, it's because of a number of different things. First, I think country demographics tend to be slightly less affluent than other demographics; I observe this based on the geography of where most country fans are (South/Plain states). That's not to say they're poor, it's just to say they aren't typically "city folk" - who generally make more money. Also, I think country artists are a little more consumer friendly when determining prices; artists like Garth and Dolly have spoken in the past about keeping their prices affordable.

Carrie sometimes tend to have prom-ish taste. This is one of those moments for me. It's the pink, combined with roses. I don't hate the dress, but it was just... ok.

But I thought you said they don't ask random former nominees to present? Touché. Nevertheless, don't know why they asked her. Not complaining, though. It was cool to see her there tonight. ETA: Very much spaced on the fact that she's been one of the faces of NBC's most-watched weekly programming events for 4 years now, lol. That could be her tie into the gig from this evening.

^ tie in for NBC but why would Carrie fly all the way across the country to the GGs? Strange gig and I hope it means she's in CA for something far more interesting.
But it was cool to see her the bit I watched every time LLL won.
