Regarding what I said about Despacito, I don't think it's groundbreakingly amazing, just not as bad as its detractors are making it out to be. There's definitely appeal and there are much worse summer/latin/2017 songs than it. *cough Mi Gente cough*
Also, I really like Him and I. Like, a lot.

Oh boy this is gonna be SUPER unpopular: Gentleman > Gangnam Style And "Napal Baji" better than both of them. And "New Face" better still.

I think Bon Appetit by Katy Perry would've been better if it was featured by only one member of Migos.

Janet Jackson is massively overrated and deserved a lot of the hate that Britney Spears has gotten since the beginning of her career. Janet's whole career is due to nepotism. She can't sing she has no range (any one of her sisters could have sang her songs), had a mostly processed voice, never choreographed a routine and never wrote any of her songs; her acclaimed work was written either by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis or her ex-husband Rene Elizondo, who was her ghostwriter from Rythmn Nation to Velvet Rope. And of course she has lip synced her performances almost as much as Britney Spears for her whole career. And if people say, well Britney Spears was influenced by Janet Jackson, that all means Janet Jackson led to the 'dissolving' of the music industry. I agree 100% Also the super bowl incident was done on purpose IMO

Rita Ora is absolutely, the most average artist ever. Not good, or bad, just AVERAGE. Where's the unpopular opinion in this post?

I don't even know what to say. It's one thing to express dislike of an artist with worldwide acclaim and intersectional, inter-generational appeal but another thing to state factually incorrect information. Speculation =/= Opinion. Especially the misguided sentiment of so many on this board that songwriting is only about composing the lyrics, which I'm fairly sure Janet has done a fair amount of (see Control, The Velvet Rope, and All For You - two of which did not have Rene in the picture. Also see Discipline where Janet composed nothing and about half of the album is sub-par), but it also goes into melodies, vocal arrangements, and other instrumental lines. Clearly this person is also cherry-picking Janet's live performances. More often than not, she sings live.

Madonna hasn't done anything remotely original or interesting since Ray of Light.

I Created Disco isn't that bad. In fact, it had some of Calvin Harris' best songs on it.

Finesse was fun the first five times or so but now it pales in comparison to the other 24K Magic singles.

And guess what?. Among the 3 of them when it comes to vocals. Janet is above them. Better agility. Better sense of rhythm. Better phrasing. Better sense of pitch Better ear for melody Better resonance. Better agility.

Future is quite possibly the worst rapper of our generation. Not only did he start the mumble rap trend, but he's somehow still worse then the vast majority of mumble rappers.

The Weeknd does trap better then 95% of trap rappers today. Seriously, on songs like Low Life, Might Not, and Six Feet Under he's straight fire.
