Stitches finally debuts after 3 weeks of being on the verge/breakout.
Uma Thurman is the biggest mover which is not a huge surprise I can see that being a top 20-10 hit in the up coming weeks
Good choice of extras with "Don't Look Down" and "Geronimo"
No movers in the top 8 though... I thought "Hey Mama" could have moved in the top 4 or even 3 ...
And shouldn't have "Cool For The Summer" debuted at 40 instead of "I like a boy" or whatever it's called I mean it is Demi's week and it was a breakout song last week

As we see now, she debuts without being a breakout. Demi will probably debut next week for sure considering she was a breakout / On The Verge for the second week in a row. EDIT: Also Cool For The Summer is high on Mediabase. Got to take that into consideration too, of course.

I must comment on what I see as the only real, proper Two-for-One for Hey Mama. :)

This is the second week in a row with a guest host. It seems to me that this chart is a little bit behind now. This mostly parallels the pop radio chart dating back to 6/23. Eight songs stay put, and all of them are in the Top 8. I expected it to be frozen last week, but hey, AT40 hits like a lot of speed bumps. When was the last time that most of the Top 10 was frozen? One thing I know was back on the AT40 chart from April 2, 1983, the Top 11 songs all stayed in place.
#11 Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners (#1) #10 Twilight Zone - Golden Earring #9 One On One - Daryl Hall & John Oates (#7) #8 Separate Ways - Journey #7 Mr. Roboto - Styx (#3) #6 We've Got Tonight - Kenny Rogers & Sheena Easton #5 Back On The Chain Gang - Pretenders #4 You Are - Lionel Richie #3 Hungry Like The Wolf - Duran Duran #2 Do You Really Want To Hurt Me - Culture Club #1 - Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
Eight of those 11 songs happened to be at their peak.

I'll see your 4/2/1983 and raise you... 8/19/1978 #14: I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight - Atlanta Rhythm Section #13: My Angel Baby - Toby Beau #12: Life's Been Good - Joe Walsh #11: Hopelessly Devoted To You - Olivia Newton-John #10: An Everlasting Love - Andy Gibb #9: Magnet And Steel - Walter Egan #8: Copacabana - Barry Manilow #7: Love Will Find A Way - deleted Cruise #6: Boogie Oogie Oogie - A Taste Of Honey #5: Hot Blooded - Foreigner #4: Miss You - The Rolling Stones #3: Last Dance - Donna Summer #2: Grease - Frankie Valli #1: Three Times A Lady - The Commodores All were in the same position they were the previous week.

And shouldn't have "Cool For The Summer" debuted at 40 instead of "I like a boy" or whatever it's called I mean it is Demi's week and it was a breakout song last week No. Guest host or not, there's no reason why "Cool For The Summer" should have debuted this week. Given the two(ish) week lag between the chart and "real time", next week's chart would be the absolute soonest. And, speaking of "In Love With A Boy"...This week, Kaya Stewart becomes the newest addition to a long list of fathers and daughters who have each scored top 40 singles. Kaya's father is Dave Stewart, who had several hits in the 1980s as one half of The Eurythmics. He also charted solo in 1991 with the instrumental "Lily Was Here". Some other names on such a list would include: Frank Sinatra and Nancy Sinatra Nat "King" Cole and Natalie Cole Elvis Presley and Lisa Marie Presley Johnny Cash and Rosanne Cash Pat Boone and Debby Boone Brian Wilson (of The Beach Boys) and Carnie and Wendy Wilson (of Wilson Phillips) John Phillips (of The Mamas and The Papas) and Chynna Phillips (of Wilson Phillips) James DeBarge (of DeBarge) and Kristinia DeBarge Jon Anderson (of Yes) and Jade Anderson Ozzy Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus Will Smith and Willow

It would seem that there's something wrong with the iHeart station. They're still playing last week's show.

There was also Carla Thomas back in 1961 with "Gee Whiz," whose father was Rufus Thomas. That's the only case when the daughter charted before her dad.
Together on Top 40 hits were Neil & Dara Sedaka and Frank & Moon Zappa.
Don Ho didn't quite make the Top 40 but his daughter Hoku did.
Also Norah Jones should get an honorable mention, whose father was Ravi Shankar, who worked on some albums with George Harrison.

Iheart Radio Channel has the Bad Blood remix with Kendrick again this week. It should be played anyway because that is what most of the stations are playing anyway.

The Two For One actually has 2 artists in common for both songs. That might be a first. Demi seemed much more mellow than Jason. But both did a good job, IMO. My station already played 2 songs before the usual start time. Ticks me off. I wonder if there has ever been an "AT 40 fan" who keeps calling during the guest-hosted shows with their questions, and wonders why they never get picked.
Actually Frank and Nancy Sinatra had a #1 hit together in 1967: Somethin' Stupid. And Natalie sang a duet with her deceased father: Unforgettable, a hit in 1991. The wonders of technology! Here are some other father/son combos to both hit the charts separately: Bob and Jakob Dylan Julio and Enrique Iglesias John and Julian Lennon Rick Nelson and twin sons Gunnar and Matthew Nelson
Any others? What about mom/child combos?

I wonder if there has ever been an "AT 40 fan" who keeps calling during the guest-hosted shows with their questions, and wonders why they never get picked. LOL!...One of my pet peeves about guest-hosted shows reared it's ugly head, again, this week...the host, frequently, giving out the number that fans can call to ask them questions. No, it doesn't work that way. The show's not live. Is no one getting the memo? Here are some other father/son combos to both hit the charts separately: Bob and Jakob Dylan Julio and Enrique Iglesias John and Julian Lennon Rick Nelson and twin sons Gunnar and Matthew Nelson Any others? On the subject of fathers and sons... Will Smith would make this list, too. His son, Jaden Smith, was featured on a Justin Bieber song a couple years back. There's also the R&B group 3T, who charted once in the 1990s. They're Taj, Taryll, and T.J. Jackson; the three sons of Tito Jackson of The Jackson 5.

Here's something else I wanted to know. When guest hosting, do the hosts press a button to make laughter appear, or are there actual people in the studio? I used to hear this early on in the Ryan Seacrest era, but very little now.
