Thanks to Janhova sliding into DMs and blessing me with this wonderful gift who I had no clue existed . His older work has me captivated because it's the pop music I know . The kind that has melody and is catchy and interesting.
Looking forward to hearing the new album very soon. If it can do wonders for coldcoffee then I already knows it's a gift from the heavens!

These 80s influences are so potent though. Like... those drums towards the end of Plum. DONE. PON DE FLOOR! That Phil Collins shit has always held a special place in my heart. When JoJo covered Take Me Home, I legit almost died.

Does anyone have the Urban Outfitters (LOL) bonus track? I have the Target No but I read it's just a reprise of Seventeen. In other news, per HITS: Blue Neighbourhood debuted at #7 with 65k SPS (55k sales) and has been certified Gold. Nice to see his sales remain consistent in spite of Capitol botching his rollout.

#4, 67k SPS (#2, 55k sales) per HITS. He would’ve been #1 on the Album Sales chart had Eminem waited a week.

So, this really is the lesser version of the male Melodrama, huh, right down to the lack of hits and poor sales, but sterling critical acclaim. Pity. It's such a good album. Now the songs that were just OK for me (Lucky Strike and Heavenly Way To Die) are now earworms. So, ffs, throw out Dance To This. An iconic video already exists and probably hasn't been seen by many. Ariana is riding high and would do more for him than Alessia did, LOL. Plus, it's the best song on the album, so I just want to have an inkling of hope to hear it somewhere outside my headphones and home speakers.

How have I not commented on this yet? It's a solid album and a huge improvement over his last. The midtempos and uptempos are especially good "Seventeen," "My My My!," "Bloom", "Dance To This," "Lucky Strike," "Plum." Yep, I'm on board. In terms of the slower tracks, my fav is "The Good Side." What kind of low-key dream pop masterpiece is that? Gorgeous. And "Postcards" and "WAHWTD" are excellent as well. "Animal" is the only track that just doesn't grab me, but it's harmless.

Can his team please stop being stupid and release Dance To This to radio. Both his and Shawn's are being extremely dumb right now.

All of this, but with a more effusive adjective than “solid”—love this album.

Decided to get general admin floor for the show at ACL Live Theater on Sunday. Don't really know what to expect from a Troye show but I am expecting Lorde level of awkward brilliance where he just goes for it. Also, if he performs Animal (and he better), I will probably openly weep and sob.

Tour started last night. Absolutely stunning and beautiful (though unforgiving for not putting EASE on the setlist)

Saw the setlist and I am excited to get the whole new album, plus some of my faves from his debut especially Heaven.

This reviewer gets it. www.austin360.com/entertainment/music/review-troye-sivan-blooms-into-proper-pop-star-austin/Oa3E557kGlIbZNv3oqpi3H/AMAZING show. His vocals were strong throughout. The dancing was just as I expected - like watching his videos. He is always strutting across the stage like its a catwalk and I LIVED. He had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand. Unfortunately, I got too high and at some points, had to go lean against the bar for support because I was super wobbly LOL but I would regain a burst of energy and stumble into the crowd to writhe and jump around. Perfect setlist, perfect show. I have even more respect for him now and oh yes, those drums were IT.

"Dance To This" was submitted for the Pop Duo/Group Category at the Grammy's! Troye is apparently being considered for Best New Artist as well.

This album deserves better! Why aren’t they even trying to promote a single? Mess.

I revisited this album tonight and it's still an extremely solid pop album. The song Bloom is a pop gem and it's sad that it never got a real push on CHR. Granted, I'm not sure how far radio would've taken a song about bottoming but I think the message would've gone over the straights' heads.
Dance To This, My My My, Lucky Strike, and Plum are also really good! I'll probably put this in my top 3 albums of 2018.

This album wasn't immediate to me, definitely more of a grower. After listening to it for a while, I don't dislike anything, but my favorites are "Seventeen," "This This," and "Postcard." I'd put this slightly above his first album overall.

They need to do anything! It's a travesty that Troye's label isn't pushing anything from this album. He has a possible BNA nomination and it would be smart to have something out there to promote his name. This album has much more potential.

He'll probably win BNA to make up for his lack of sales and, honestly, not even mad at it.
