where's the link? i dont see anything anywhere? is it her home site or label site? thanks! All I hear is Last Call. I guess that's the first "leak." I don't get it--the album is only 3 weeks away from being released, so if they release one new song a week, we will only get to hear 3 or 4 songs, including Last Call ??? Just follow the link posted above , then click the "Last Call track leak #1 "The Bees" link ....

Thanks for the link, kevin59. I'm beginning to think that the way Lee Ann Womack and Tony Brown have decided to straddle the traditional v. contemporary country divide is to make the production on the verses spare and the production on the choruses busy and borderline cacophonous. "The Bees" clip is intriguing and I'm curious to hear where the song goes, but I feel like less would have been more during the chorus.

A holiday version of Carrie Underwood's 'Carnival Ride' is set to be re-released as a Wal-Mart only exclusive on October 12th.
The five Christmas classics will include 'Do You Hear What I Hear?', 'O Holy Night', 'What Child Is This?', 'The First Noel', and 'Hark! The Herald Angels Sing'.

That should probably be October 21st; I'm guessing that Lon Helton's info in tonight's Country Aircheck was a typing error.

Thanks Lumpster and Kevin for the info and links. Sorry, I couldn't figure it out. Off to listen now!
Ooh, very different. I like it. Is that Keith Urban singing harmony? Sure sounds like him and I remember he had a track on this CD.

Thanks for the link kevin.
If the clips do the full songs any justice, I have to say I'm disappointed. This album sounds like part two of the Be As You Are album with the exception of "Down The Road" (which sounds like the obvious second single to me right now). While I love the Be As You Are album (it's one of my favorite Kenny albums), that album was not for country radio and it was never intended to be a country album. The same cannot be said for Lucky Old Sun, which is the main reason I think I'm disappointed. I'm sure I'll end up liking the songs, but I was expecting a country album and I think this is Kenny's least country album to date (which is surprising to me because I thought Kenny somewhat returned to his roots with Poets & Pirates).
I'm going to guess that this album will produce only two #1s ("Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven" and "Down The Road"). I also wouldn't be surprised if they release just three singles from Lucky Old Sun and then release a Greatest Hits 2 album next fall.

Wow, I am surprised with the sound of Kenny's CD. Are they marketing it as a Part 2 of Be as You Are? It doesn't sound like a trypical studio album. I like what I heard as far as a very mellow CD to maybe relax to. My immediate favorites from one listen were I'm Alive and Way Down Here. I didn't really care for Down the Road, but it's a short clip, so who knows? 10 with a 2 I can see being released as a single maybe, but man would that drive me insane after a while. It's clever and cute at first listen but I just wanted to roll my eyes after that, lol.

I just don't get it with Kenny. Don't get me wrong I like the occasional beach song especially at the beach (Jimmy Buffet is a must listen while riding the 5 hour trip to the beach). Kenny is one of the stars of this genre and is slowly turning into Jimmy Buffet himself. I know this will sell in huge numbers but I won't be buying this. I can listen to better beach songs on Buffet's greatest hits.
By the way I can't wait to hear the full song with Dave Matthews. Other than that it's just bleh.

There are far too many CDs being released on October 21st; why is Nashville practicing such insanity by doing this in the face of a very weak economy?
I'm really sorry that Lee Ann Womack's CD isn't coming out on Tuesday.

I'm really sorry that Lee Ann Womack's CD isn't coming out on Tuesday. It's not as bad as it looks. Carrie's is a re-release, and Kenny's "release" that week is an abbreviated version of his October 14th release (I don't think many people will wait to buy it that week). According to Amazon, Billy Ray Cyrus' album is being released November 18th. Also, Chris Young's album has been pushed back to next year. That leaves Craig Morgan and Lee Ann Womack as the only "true" releases that week.

listen to the entire Elvis Christmas Duets Cd here--- featuring Carrie Underwood, Martina, Gretchen Wilson, Sara Evans, Leanne Rimes, Wyonna Judd, Olivia Newton john, and more... I think it is the best Carrie has ever sounded, personally... and Elvis sounds amazing with all the ladies. It is very well done, true to the old fashioned style and production. they used the same original back up singers that originally recorded with Elvis.. so it sounds very authentic. www.thatscountry.com/am2/publish/seasonal/004763.shtml

I'm irritated :( Either it's selling really well or more likely my stores just suck :)
